Balunri was born and raised in the village of Revel in the Duchy of Courland. While most there grew up learning through education and being focusd on that, Balunri was more focused on learning skills of a world outside of the village. Learning how to fight with an axe or survive on his own, it was all more exciting to him than anything else could and would be. Which not only strained the relationship he had with his parents, but also the other children at the clan, who were more interested in education than Balunri’s wild adventures, and tricks with axes. Calling him a beast and a wild animal even to times. Which he reacted by yelling at them, showing off the ill-temper the dwarf had. It didn’t help the scars that he had gotten on his body from one day stealing one of the axes the older dwarfs used as a youthling. Dragging the axe to the wilderness and the hideout he had there, ending up hurting the left of his arm and his face from not being able to handle the much larger axe. From this the other children would make more fun of him and the scars he had.
Even after the accident and the clear signs that he did not want to; his parents would still try to make the dwarf learn educational things, but every time Balunri would resist and scurry away. Instead learning how to properly fight with an axe from the fighters in the village, which only strained the relationship with his parents. Especially with the days where he would run out from the village and instead learning with his parents, going to the woods and like he was on his own little adventure. Even once stealing an axe once and dragging it . One day this behavior was enough for his parents to yell at him, screaming how he should listening to them and how their way of life is, instead of running off and trying to find his own. This angered Balunri quickly and decided to run away from the village, no longer feeling welcome there anymore. He wondered out in anger, grabbing some supplies to keep him alive throughout his journey.
Though after living out in the wild for some time, he wondered how his parents were. . .How his village were. He ventured back to the village of Revel, but only to see the horror of the village burned down and nearly destroyed. Feeling that his parents were not to survive such a raid. Filled with grief and anger he would return back to the wilderness and begin plotting for revenge. Determined to find out who did this and take their life in return for it.
