Early Life
She’d grown up as the youngest daughter in a household of three older brothers in the farlands(Distorian). Born to a wealthy silk merchant and his demure wife, she despised the social pressure put on her to live a quiet life as an accessory to a husband.
Inhyeon had all but accepted this fate till one day she ran into a supplier of her father’s. A burly old man with a penchant for not washing his greasy hair. She was disgusted upon sight but reigned herself in from saying anything insulting towards him. He had made a pass at her, telling her he’d put in an offer for her hand even though at the time she was only fourteen years old. Inhyeon was enraged and threatened the man that if he ever did such a thing, she’d castrate him in his sleep as his wife. The man, outraged at the lady’s behavior, took her to see her father, angrily ranting about her disrespect towards him. It was then that she learned the art of manipulation, she had used her tears and innocence to sway the opinion of her father and brothers and ultimately got the man thrown in a cell for being indecent towards a lady of her standing. And with slight surprise, Inhyeon realized she felt no remorse whatsoever.
It was then she began helping her family secure deals behind the scenes, not to their knowledge. She’d charm wives and daughters, younger sons and the like to sway their breadwinner’s tide in favor of her family. While her brothers remained confrontational and brutish towards their goals, she took on a quieter, more fulfilling route of getting her way.
Marriage
Inhyeon was a young lady of seventeen when she first heard of the good imperial doctor. A man of good social standing, he had influence over the taishi. Her father had mentioned the idea of marrying her off to him, a marriage that would be most beneficial for them. She had vehemently protested the idea, breaking her impassive, cool demeanor for the first time in years. This has enraged her father, threatening to take action to have her married off immediately despite her age. During this time she ran off, hiding out in a nearby town, disguising herself as an apothecary’s apprentice. This had worked for a few years, her family never giving up the search however growing increasingly weary by the second year. Inhyeon during this time would visit her mother in secret, her mother understanding fully her protest at marrying a man she didn’t know, much less tolerate. Inhyeon remained missing for three years, eventually being found by her eldest brother when she was out purchasing more inventory for the apothecary. Being practically dragged back by her hair, she was immediately married off upon reaching home. Her father already promised her to the doctor all those years ago.
Current/Semi-Present
Inhyeon was married at nineteen to a husband who grated on her nerves to no end. His stern, stuck up behavior clashed grandiosity with her more cutting, sarcastic self. They were butting heads continuously for literally everything. However despite their dumpster fire of a union, they managed to bear 3 children. All daughters, not the most ideal as society dictates. However Inhyeon was overjoyed. She’d always preferred daughters anyways.
