Lorafiel Addie was born in Aegrothond, a charter with elves of many breeds. She didn’t quite grow up there though. Soon after she was born, her parents decided to abandon her and take Lorafiel to the kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. This is one of the largest human cities in Arcas, hence why her parents decided to take her there. Lorafiel’s parens were young and were not yet ready to take on such a big life change. It was more of an experiment to leave her with the humans. She was taken in by two average humans- Baron Winmark and Adeline Winmark. They were loving people but were still embarrassed for having such a unique child. They had her wear cloaks and log sleeves to hide her obsidian skin and elf ears. Though, that didn’t completely stop the hate. Growing up there, she stood out a lot and was targeted mostly for being so different. As she got older, she started to wonder what her real parents were like. So, when she was of age, she left Hanseti-Ruska and ventured off into the world. She traveled everywhere to find her parents and a permanent home. To this day, she has yet to find it. Since dark elves are known to live through passion and expression, her way of showing it is through her love for books. She enjoys reading about ancient history. In fact, her favorite quote from one of the books is “May your forest halls forever be silent, and your hearts heavy with sadness.” This speaks to her because it reminds her of the pain she feels from knowing she was not wanted by her parents. But as the young, strong adult she is, she will push aside those thoughts and keep venturing to achieve her goals.
