Edward Edmund is a Human, born in Norland to a modest family of merchants. In his entire early life, he lived in a low populated area in the outskirts of the city without any siblings or kids living nearby he never had the ideal childhood. His parents who had their own small fortune gave Edmund the freedom to choose any path he desired, but he strongly believed that following his parents’ steps would make them proud and would be more fitting for him as he always had observed their work. Reaching young adulthood him and his parents agreed that it was time for him to explore the world on his own, once the time had come Edmund decided to go try his luck as a merchant and went to live in a small rented space in the more densely populated part of the city, he had run out of luck and his career went poorly with increasing debt and too proud to let his parents down he hid himself the best he could, time went and one day while he was walking through the city he saw that a small box of what could only possible be opium had fallen off the trunk of a merchant’s caravan he sneakily grabbed it and fled away to his hiding spot since it was such a precious good he believed that to the right buyer he could make a very decent profit and get out of the crippling debt he was in, days passed, and he was never able to find anyone who had any desire to buy what he possessed, furious and mentally fatigued he decided upon himself that we would instead try out the opium, Edward ended up creating a dependency but with his opium already being scarce he decided that now he would really try as hard as possible to successfully become a merchant, time went, and he was able to get out of his financial situation he finally was able to have the independence that he desired and restore his honour and with all of this he was able to buy all the small portions of opium he desired never having to go sober again. He believed that a bright future lay in front of him still and he could just barely wait for it.
