War has been his life as long as he cares to remember. As a child he was known as "Rhodi" or an exile, and was forced to carve his own path away from Adunian societies. This was the path which lead him to offer his physical strength and dexterity in exchange for coin. As a youth he was trained, and he studied the use of weapons and armor. He learned basic survival techniques: including how to stay alive on the battlefield. He was an officer part of a mercenary company that fell apart during a great defeat, and yet he keeps his insignia of rank readily displayed in hopes that soldiers loyal to his former military organization will still recognize his influence. The horrors of war combined with the rigid discipline of military soldier left their mark on him, shaping his ideals, and creating strong bonds. They also left him scarred and vulnerable to fear, shame, and hatred.
He is full of inspiring and cautionary tales from his military experience and can find relevance in almost any combat situation. His sense of humor is crude which often gets him into trouble with more proper folk, though he attempts to remain polite and respectful at all times. On his person is a piece of a banner which was a trophy taken from a fallen enemy. It stands as a reminder that he will not follow orders blindly because that embraces a kind of tyranny. He has since immigrated to Haense in search of more civilized work.
