Aveline was born the daughter of a blacksmith in Sutica. Her mother died shortly after her birth from complications and she never had the chance to know her. She at a very early age learned how to earn her keep, working with her father at the forge, stoking the fires and hammering steel on the anvil. Her father taught her what he knew, and what he knew was iron and steel. She became very proficient in hammering out weapons for the guard and adventurers that would stop by the workshop. From them she would acquire a yearning to travel, she listened to stories that they told her about glorious battles like The War of the Two Emperors and mysterious ruins. She saw many races and faces working with her father. When she turned 17, she decided that she wanted to see the world for herself. This was quickly put on hold as her father was ordered away to forge steel for soldiers fighting in some far off land. She waited for his return but never saw him again. She was in the employ of the city as a general labourer until she turned 22. She decided that she was through with a mundane life and spent what little she had to buy provisions for travel. Before she was to leave she stayed the night at a tavern just outside Sutica where she met a man named Mikael. She was quickly enamored by him and after adventuring together for a little over a year they decided to be wed. She stays with him to this day.
