Vemith Blade-Song was brought up in the mountains in a small village. He was expected to do many chores from a young age as well as practice with his father's preferred weapons of choice, two handed blades. The training from a young age strengthened his body, but it was grueling and his father was not a patient man. His punishment for collapsing during training was two slaps to each shoulder blade with a long smooth stick of wood. His Father was also the small mountain village's blacksmith and as such helped him in the forge. During his younger years his father would be paid to make fine weapons for nobles going into the Sutican war, he was relatively young at this time, around 8, so he wasn't making blades at that point. It was good money and allowed his father to pay for some meager schooling, enough to teach Vemith to write and read and do more advanced mathematics that his father hadn't already taught him.
One day when Vemith was around 18 his father told him to make a blade, just like any other day so he created the blade. When he was finished his father inspected his work and found it to be acceptable and told him to go find one of their distant kin in the elves or another Adunian to proffer himself as a servant and bodyguard. His father would speak no other words and just pointed to a bag of supplies. Vemith could find no other option than to leave so he did. As such he wanders, trying to find someone to allow him to be their servant. His first thought of a place to go to is the human city of Orin.
