Eiki was born into a very normal life, free of most forms of violence. His family was a small one, consisting of a mother and father. Two years after Eiki was born, he would gain a little sister. Once he was old enough to hold an axe and collect plants, he would spend every day working hard in the birch fields searching for blissfoil or chopping up logs into usable planks, only stopping once dusk had spread across the land. During the evenings, he would then be taught some easy academic subjects to gain some form of knowledge. This evolved into a routine everyday, which would put Eiki on a sort of autopilot until he got to the ripe old age of fourteen. His parents left him alone with his sister to go off and live separate lives. Eiki still doesn't know why they left, and refers to that day as the 'Widow's Dawn'. He took it upon himself to raise his sister, managing to learn how to perform the tasks of not only the father, but also the mother. He would make breakfast for his sister to start the day, then he would go out into the birch fields to collect the blissfoil. By noon, he would return to make lunch; He would then return to the fields to begin to chop down trees. It was a hard process, and he rarely chopped more than one tree a day for the first year. Then, once dusk arrived, he would make dinner with whatever foods he could scrounge up. After that, it was off to bed. Eiki no longer allowed himself to go onto autopilot after that day, however, and instead set a goal for himself. Once his sister was well off enough and able to go live her own life, he would set off to find The Jovian Oaks. Such stories were told to him while he was but a young lad, and now the idea of meeting such kind-hearted beings filled him with a true sense of inspiration. It wasn't long before he was able to follow this dream at the age of twenty four. His sister had found a wonderful man to live with and Eiki was more than ecstatic to see his sister happy. She moved out within the year and Eiki got ready to go out and search for the Oaks, though it wasn't going to stay that way for long. He looked for three years, only returning at the end to attend to his sister's anniversary celebration. What happened during that day was a complete and total bloodbath. One of the participants of the party was a very jealous man, and he took it upon himself to kill the groom to steal the sister for himself. Wielding a particularly sharp dagger, he slit the husband's throat and proceeded to make his move. Eiki was horrified at the sight of the dead man, blood oozing onto his tattered boots. He can't remember much of what happened, though he did remember waking up in a room with three other corpses, covered in blood. His sister was nowhere to be seen. Eiki moved to Brandybrook shortly after, hoping to get away from the horrors of that day, though it always lingers in the back of his mind. 'Whatever did happen to my sister?' was always taunting him in his mind. Two long years passed, and Eiki has finally come to a conclusion. He would have to search for the Jovian Oaks once more. He needed help to find his sister, and he would stop at nothing to achieve that goal.
