Athgir has been following in his fathers footsteps as a blacksmith ever since he was a young beardling. After getting a little experience he opened an official smithy and he felt proud of his service to his kind. After a year running his smithy he had gotten complacent. A group of four mountain dwarf brothers came early in the morning to buy weapons; an axe, a sword, two daggers, and a mace. Seeing the many people waiting behind these obviously inexperienced adventurers, he rushed their order and didn't put the proper wedge to keep the axe head fixed in place.
Having finished their order, Athgir sent them on their way. Ignorant and unafraid, they left on an extermination quest in a cave south of Kal'Varoth. After not seeing signs of them for days the brothers' family had gotten worried and asked for help. Athgir and a group of volunteers left to find them but upon reaching the cave they saw two pieces of an axe surrounded by blood and entrails with drag marks headed into the cave...
Athgir Irongut is the only son of Ingres and Drigg of the same surname. Having had Athgir at an old age Drigg passed away when Athgir was 14. While his mother is still alive she is old and ill, not expected to live very long. Being their only child, Athgir has been working hard to make them proud every day despite his past errors. He will never forget what he did to those brothers. But after he closed the smithy to travel and perfect his craft along the way, the one thing that can be sure is that the story of Athgir Irongut certainly wont end here.
