Eragon is a woodland elf born into a well-respected family from Irrinor. At the age of 3, his mother died, and his father, grief-stricken, killed himself. The many mentors in his village took care of him, and taught him how to fight and duel. He excelled at these things and was at the top of his class. Due to the death of his mother and father, he finds the village he lives in as a safe haven, and fears living anywhere else. As he grew up, he became great friends with many people in the village, and was known for talking with the merchants and bargaining with them for free food and supplies. He grew up relatively poor, supported by friends of his mother and father. Even now, the topic of his parents make him angry and uncomfortable. Arya, his lifelong friend, has helped him get through tough times in his life, and sees her almost as a sister. Despite being the same race as them, Eragon deeply despises High Elves since they see themselves as above everyone else, but is deeply ashamed of this and has only shared this information with Arya. Eragon has never really had any love intrests, despite the average crush, and is straight. Despite being a woodland elf, Eragon has no intrest in farming, and perfers fighting and training. Now, at the age of 22, helps care for the forests, which he deeply loves, yet strives to see the world, despite his fear of leaving home.
