Ildicus came from a tiny village in the mountains between the Kingdom or Norland and the Kingdom Haense. When Ildicus was coming back to home, he heard villagers shouting and screaming and made him curious and peek, and what he saw was his house getting slowly consumed by the raging fire. He only survived because it was his turn to purchase some food from the market, and when the fire was finally extinguished, nothing was left, not even the body of his family. He was just five at the time. However, when everything was seeming to be the end of the world to him, he saw a hidden note that was placed on one corner that somehow wasn't burnt, he quickly opened it and saw a rough word that was written in a hurry which says "South".
