Kestrel was born sometime before year 6 of the second age. She was found near the outskirts of Oren by an alchemist shopkeeper as a baby, her circumstances of birth unknown. It has been nearly two decades since this day, Kes having grown up in his care. Kes does not have much talent for alchemy like her adoptive father but is a natural at art, with a near photographic memory allowing her to memorize entire scenes and details and translating them to paper at a later time. Until the age of eighteen, Kes was an assistant at her father's alchemy shop, handling errands and administrative tasks. She spent much of her days drawing and planning her big adventure. In the current day, Kes has set out on a journey to see more of the world and journal her travels as well as learn anything she can about her past. She enjoys documenting flora and fauna in particular, and is looking forward to traveling to Elvenesse territory to study the unique ecosystems in the temperate western peninsula.
