Rannon is the son of a distant land's High King. Growing up in the royal court, Rannon was taught from a young age how to act according to Dawi law. How to talk to another clans leader, how to do well in the mines, and how to fight like a brave and proud Dawi. Reaching his adolescent, Rannon would have come to expect the title of High King, and head of the Goldpalm clan. When the time came, however, it was given to his youngest brother. As seen in his eyes, the laws of the Dawi were broken. Rannon challenged his brother to a duel, in the eyes of the long beards, to see who was fitter to wield the title of High King. However, the longbeards rejected this duel, citing the law of kinship to the young dwarf. Rannon knew that he would not win in a battle against the long beards, bowed his head in respect. He then swore with the oathgold, that he would never have a claim to High King and leader of his clan. Losing his name in the process. Shaking his brother's hand one last time, Rannon grabbed the few things he would not leave to the clan and headed out to find a new place to call home. Landing in Almaris, Rannon begin asking about dwarves in the local taverns he came across. He was pointed to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, running into a dwarf that had the same colored eyes as Rannon. After asking his name, Daerenguard showed him around. Telling him about the closest nations, one being the Holy Oren Empire. It seemed that as for the time Rannon has found himself a new place to call home, and a new clan to follow. Although not a full member of the Frostbeard, Rannon is willing to do what it takes to get ahead and welcomed fully in the arms of his brothers.
