Calan

Calan grew up with her parents and two brothers. One day she asked her brother if he was going to the woods that day but he wasn't. She asked him to because she wanted him to get a flower that was only now in bloom so she could give it to her mother, and he said he would go. While he was out in the woods he was attacked and his friend brought him home, but he died of blood loss. As she got older she spent most of her time in the woods with the animals and nature remembering her brother. She missed her brother so much, she felt that there was nothing she could do to feel TRULY happy. When she was Seventeen her father was about to leave home and become a devote member of The Church of Canon, and she badly wished that she could come with him to The Grand Kingdom of Urguan where he would meet them. She needed to get away from her home, for all it was to her was a constant reminder of her brother's death. a year later Calan decided to leave home and go live on her own and find her place in this world. As she walks out the door her she tells her mother goodbye, shuts the door, and whispers a promise to herself . "I will learn to be myself again."
