Born into a High Elven family of scribes, Delvii can distinctly recall the bitter smells of ink and wax, and the sound of a quill scratching along a piece of parchment at all hours of the day. Though, as dreadfully dull as that may sound, Delvii's childhood was by no means an unfortunate one. The young Mali'aheral was healthy and educated, and with the company of her adopted brother Eliseo, she was seldom lonely. To their parents' dismay, they would find other means to entertain themselves, running off to chase a stray dog or catch a butterfly -- hardly retaining their studies as they sought distraction time and time again. Years of rigorous teaching and a well-born way of life had cast the minds of the young elves into a desire for adventure, a need for something more. One day they ran off after yet another diversion, but this time didn't take the trouble to return.
