Gwymer was born by the restoration of an ancient grove south of the Druidic Order. As with most forest spirits, he was taught the common tongue by the elves. However, unlike his kin, he never reached full maturity of stature. This resulted in his exclusion from the rights an rituals performed by the elves and other spirits of the forest. As a hermit, Gwymer developed close attachments to the various creatures of the forest. With no friends, and a family which ignored his existence, Gwymer became a hermit and tended to the various flora and fauna which he stumbled upon during his wanders. Being able to roughly communicate with other forest spirits, he managed to grasp a basic understanding of druidism, but with no skill or practice, he has no skill in performing anything.
