Dowry is 24 years of age currently. He was born to mildly successful merchant parents who showed him a world of refinement, and neat living. He was raised and educated well, but gently, and was protected from the world and its dangers. Dowry's plan was to study poetry and inherit his father's wealth. Sensing this weakness developing in his son, Dowry's father tasked him with setting off into the world to make his own way when he came of age at 18. Dowry made his way to Karosgrad to perhaps settle his roots in the capital of Hanseti-Ruska. In his travels he met holy men who would plant the seeds that grew into a strong faith in canonism.
