You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” Reza glances at the crone with a confused expression, out the tent, and back to the crone once more. The small woman replies in a thick Haeseni accent, "Well, I suppose..." She trails off, distracted by the mysterious candles surrounding her, before looking back to the crone and sitting. She nervously grips the wooden cross around her neck and sits, "I grew up in a small village in Haense- Or, more appropriately, was dropped at a random church as an infant in the middle of the night and was stuck there. I helped out around the church, doing odd-jobs around the village to scrounge extra minas and food. Even in such a small village I'd been in my whole life, I never truly felt like I belonged." She pauses, staring into the candlelight, "I suppose that's how I got here. I had saved up enough and decided... Well, I had to get out of there. I needed to find somewhere with just... more, I guess." ((OOC Note: This was modified very slightly to fit the scenario. Rather than ending up in some random ass swamp Reza is actually on her way to Karosgrad! If she's not allowed to be from "some vague village that doesn't physically exist", I'd love some other suggestions for how to make a fairly blank slate character.)
