  1. A rather nuanced subject, one in which the staff will ultimately take the appropriate feedback here into consideration for their decision. If you want to be heard, it's best to do so in a cordial, logical voice, particularly in regards to the points against the suggestion.

Ultimately, you have to look at problems you present and see if there's a solution.

Splitting the line between sexual and romantic FTB is important, and has been touched on a bit. It's the difference between they kissed and went to bed, and emoting aaall the way too the bed, into the bed, till the point an FTB is necessary.

Some awkwardness about babies has been mentioned. It's not hard, actually. You do what you would have always done when making a story with another person's player character. You send them a tell about the topic of family in the plotline.

In regards to minors being on the server, I was on here around 14 or 16, I can't quite recall, but either way I was quickly met with private offers for Especially Raunchy Play left and right, and to be honest, I kind of doubt a lack of FTB in relation to sexual acts could change what happened. Additionally, you can bet I had parents permission to do whatever I wanted on my computer. And even if I didn't, you can't control teenagers. You can only control their environment.

My first character was asexual, with an at least inclination for romance for the first three-four years of his existence due to my own adolescent things going on. Of course, my experience also comes from being a particularly focused on person by a large population of people who assumed a little too much about my maturing in relation to age.

It's different from the average player run on Lord of the Craft, and from a professional, security mindset, removing "Sexual FTBs" would discourage the probability of the aforementioned undesirable behaviors that violate server rules (Grooming, predator behavior, ERP.) Sure, you can deal with something after it happens. Yes, people are quickly caught for ERP on the server. But my journeys through roleplay communities over the past decade have learned me of the darker perspective this should be regarded with.

To reference an actual story on another game, on a roleplay server, a fourteen year old (who is now much older,) was made victim to one of the situations that the OP wishes to try to prevent. The older individual was held in some high regard to the fourteen year old, and that trust was violated when they transitioned a roleplay session right past what should be an FTB into some really messed up things that are definitely unrealistic kinks, but can be quite traumatic to subject someone to reading.

In those situations, a younger person can literally not know what to do. They were in an environment that was supposed to be a safe place. That can quickly change, and while you an ban the offender, you can't make what happened go away.

Anyway. Because these kinds of discussions call for a side, I support it. Remove sexual FTBs. Approach it in a manner with care.

I AGREE WITH THIS MYSTERIOUS INDIVIDUAL. I BELIEVE WHOLE-HEARTEDLY THAT TENTOA IS THE MAN YOU WANT.

Just on the basis of sheer creativity and desire to make lore for people to really get involved with, he's an amazing candidate. His drive to write is just mad sometimes.

    • Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: that was sooooo long ago

    • Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions?

One of the most OG of the VAT, Asulon Improvement Committee, Wiki Team, and T3ET before.

    • What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present)

D-do I have to? Mostly lately, League of Legends, Warframe, Undertale, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Neverwinter Nights, participate in IN RL DnD games and also DM Pathfinder, and just so many other games I do not feel like picking my brain to find.

From previous ET App: League of Legends, Devil May Cry, Half-Life, Minecraft, Guild Wars 2, Halo, Prototype, Terraria, Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Master of Magic, Democracy 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Jak and Daxter games, .Hack games, Psychonauts, Gary's Mod, Risk of Rain, Bastion, Alien versus Predator games, Portal, Fallout games, Left 4 Dead, The Elder Scrolls, Dungeon Defenders, Goat Simulator, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and the list goes ON and ON if I could see my console games right now. I have a very large collection.

    • What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?

Lucas Black, Kathro of Rhys, BREAKER of SHACKLES, the rest of inactive/possibly going to just get deleted. And on that note, that question should really be rephrased. No one should ever have to sacrifice a character for any staff position, no matter how the phrasing of that question was intended. Regardless...I do already have plans in-mind for Kathro and I’m figuring out what I even want to do to try and end Lucas' story on LotC or just settle it at the right spot for good.

    • What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain.

Honestly, the orcs. I’m quite familiar with all of their lore. I love the whole community and I think I’d have too much fun providing events for them. They’re a real whacky bunch. Beyond that, almost all of my pants events have always been heavily story-driven and generally involving a large variety of locations, races, groups, and players. I wrote up, helped write, lead, and assisted in many, many big events that took place during my time as an ET. But I'm also pretty good at all the edgy stuff for all the edgy groups. But in general, I'm usually good to get asked just to do effects and what not for a roleplay or even provide a random for the hell of it. Have many times before.

    • What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?

Open-ended and flexible events that generally allow participation from everyone. There’s no reason that any players should just be denied entrance to an event for something relating to OOC. If there are too many players, the ET is a team. The GMs are a team. The Admins are a team. And every single member of these teams can be asked to assist and work with you.

    • When was the last time you saw a event?

Pretty sure it’s nearing two weeks since I last saw an event even from a distance, and it seemed to be a one-off. I guess Ive heard of some stuff Pandan is doing.

    • What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?

Well-organized, fast typer, level-headed, and extremely knowledgeable in the lore. If there’s something I don’t know, I tend to know someone who does that I can refer to with questions.

    • Why do you want to be part of the ET?

In reality? Boredom. That’s the main drive behind most of my actions. I enjoyed being apart of the ET before and running events is quite fun. Honestly, it’s as simple as that. I have fun making and running events with people and seeing them enjoy it all the same.

    • Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Raelplayer (bless his soul), not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.

A generic merchant event? Why not.

Drawn along a horse-driven cart, a dwarf in robes would ride inside, a sign atop that says “DINGLE’S BITS AND TIPS.” It would seem he was Dingle and he was offering ‘Bits and Tips.’ These bits would range from string to emeralds, though in extremely low stock of all whenever he visits. His prices would not be modest either, making this a last-choice stop for such items when they cannot seem to find them anywhere else. Taking requests to procure certain items, Dingle would keep this for quite an extended period of time, waiting for the person who requested them.

As for the tips, he would seem like a very knowledgeable Dwarf and quite skilled at storytelling, making the interactions feel very colorful and memorable. Even possessing very specific and interesting information that lead to the locations of other events or providing the backstory to some, the old Dwarf’s storytelling would speak of things far and wide, showing him to be quite experienced and well-learned.

It would seem a random series of letters have gone out to some people, telling of a...party at a troll cave. The invitation would in only somewhat legible text speak of freshly cooked meats upon an open blazing fire, comfy fur benches, and mead. At least, you’re pretty sure. Upon arriving at the location the letter entails with some vague directions and surprising map-drawing skills, the players would indeed find a cave. And inside that cave was a rather large troll, cooking meat on a spittle. With kegs of mead.

There’s actually a party in a troll cave. You all take a moment to comprehend this. Or get right to partying! Or maybe you want to purge this ugly creature that is being so generous with beef. But let's pretend you take the time to party. The troll here would actually be a surprisingly pleasant host, speaking in only broken common and quite pleased to have company. There would indeed be comfy benches covered in pelts, almost seeming like someone’s been helping this creature do all of this.

It would seem he has decided to throw these parties here and there when supplies are running high because he avoids the sunlight and wishes to meet many new people and make friends. Maybe you do make good friends with this troll and his assistance can be requested for at times. All up to player interaction.

    Grave of the Forgotten

A blood-stained journal is found upon a fallen High-Elf just in-front of a mysterious graveyard deep within a distant forest.

[A sign would be present, explaining to contact susitsu for this event.]

“Gravens, apparitions that only rise hundreds of years after the initial death of the soul that would so persist in such negativity after death that it would once more rise again. Or so says some theories. Most specifically, Graves are once sentient beings that lived with a singular task in mind, whether that be to protect the innocent or perfect a method of murder. Either could find themselves, after a particularly cruel death, likely involving betrayal, risen to seek their task finished. But there are many instances in history where something goes awry and the powers in this world act not accordingly to the rules we know them to.”

“Such an instance has occurred very recently. I made a mistake, it would appear. My curiosity drove me rather too far and I found a graveyard, so far out of place, so obviously displaced from what would even seem time...and without hesitation, I delved into the curiosity before me. There wasn’t any fog in the distance or even in the forest, but as I came upon this place, the fog seemed too thick. I swear, many times, I saw shadows creeping around in the side of my sight, but I ignored it.”

“I found there were rather expansive crypts within this graveyard, leading to darker things creeping out of the darkness...and somewhere, deep within, was the grandest coffin of all. The rest of the crypt was rather dimly lit with a grim, decrepit tone to them, but this room was lit with bright torches, decorated with gold that seemed freshly polished, or even new. It was disturbing to a degree, but I felt a calling of some sort. A pull, if you will...to unlock the coffin. It would seem the key was lying on the ground before it, like the last person here had only just managed to throw it on the ground. How curious that was...but I picked up the key and I opened it. And now, I write in my last moments. Ive barricaded myself in a room, but they’re coming in."

"If someone finds this, please right my wrongs.”

It would seem at this point, the Elf had time to write all of this within a room he secured before he attempted to flee, making it only so far before being cut down, it would seem. At first glance, the grave would seem sinister, but silent. A dark fog almost seemed to cling to it and for those of a more sensitive to the shadows, it would feel far too unsettling. Something about this place felt like it demanded a great challenge. One that would need a force to fight an army.

However many someone enters with, it is generally a good idea for such an event to have the help of several ET familiar with the plot. Such a larger scale event mixed between heavy roleplay and combat with numerous mobs. This will be an event with a high likelyhood of failure and consequences for it existing long-term such as increasing attacks on nearby settlements, eventually extending even further.

Upon gathering a group that can truly face on this great crypt, they would find this large graveyard possess a far, far greater crypt beneath it. Winding and twisting with many large rooms, this great crypt would seem to have many, many rooms, many tricks, puzzles, and traps, and even more-so, constant danger as it would seem almost an army of Gravens roams these halls, looking for you.

The crypt itself would almost seem fit to house an entire civilization, showing much signs of an alternate culture, likely human. But for such an amount of Gravens to have risen all in one spot seems ridiculous. or at the least, impossible to be a coincidence. It would be as the players descended these twisting passages that the carvings in the walls became more clearly telling a story, one of an evil king who stole the souls of his own people and turned them to servants. It was through a dark orb he one day came upon it seemed given to him by some mysterious man in black robes that some would recognize the symbol on some of the stone carvings: An Eye of Iblees.

Through this dark object, he enslaved his people but one day was defeated by holy warriors, but the object had truly become bound to his very soul. These holy warriors were forced to seal him away in the crypt, along with his people, forever-bound until someone found a way to separate the two and set rest of the souls of the kingdom bound to the corrupted king.

But that day never came, even now. By the end of the tomb after having dealt with enough fighting and puzzles they would find at least one entrance to the King’s Crypt raised: Three extravagant gates had blocked the entrance to the King’s Crypt where sat clad in armor was a figure made of what would seem a dark flame. Formed like a man, he would sit with a black orb held in his left-hand, a longsword sheathed in his right. Upon entering, the risen king would attempt a speech of some sort about his timeless army, about how there is no way they can seal him again, that he will always return in time. Some fool will open the coffin after the seal weakens for a time and the graveyard manifests once more.

Of course, they didn’t have to listen to this poppycock. On would go a fight with a specialized mob or ET in set-up gear and buffs as well as numerous mobs. This would be a very extended PvE battle, likely requiring cooperation. At the end, if victorious, the adventurers would find the king driven to fall, the orb vanishing with him. But obviously only for the moment. The attacks would stop for only a short time. A solution to this place would need to be found.

    • How long do you plan to stay in the ET?

Good question. I’ll probably be around LotC for a year again, at the least. Server keeps ya’ comin’ back.

That is all there is. We're not here for ego's we're here for productivity and results. The moment there stop being results and we've got issues coming up we're prepared to pull the plug. But that can be said for any endeavour, I am currently optimistic and hope it won't come to that.

I'll stay strong. For you, Telanir. It's good to hear this. Too many projects on LotC have just...fallen dead and left to rot. It really is good to see the effort and thought the teams are putting into everything right now.

Scene21 isn't exactly as much as given authority here as we are providing him with a medium and support necessary to get YouTubers on-board.

I hope that is all there really is to this. I remember the last time a youtuber was given any 'authority' and, well, I can't remember his name, but he was one egotistical motherfucker. I generally trust your opinion on things Telanir and will give it a chance before I shoot it down, but the concept of someone popping around and being given 'any authority' at all has been time and time again a proven mistake on LotC.

And lets avoid situations like the Media Team's ol' invis stopping arrows and drawing mobs in wars that would literally screw over one side.

  5. Oh god, let it escalate, please. I CALL UPON THEE, WHITE KNIGHTS OF THE ORDER OF TUMBLR! ASSEMBLE!
