I am from northern Ohio and I pronounce them differently, though I have a slightly different accent than most around here.  For example, I pronounce t's where most Ohioans/Americans would make them d's (such as in the word "quarter").  I also make a lot of "a" sounds "ah", and say diction-ree instead of diction-air-y.  it's British like, I know, but I think those sound better and most people aren't phased by it.

Cot I would say something like "kaht"

Caught I would say "Kawt"

Hawk would be "Hawk"

Hock would be "hahk"

Don is "dahn" to me

Dawn is "dawn"

Those pronunciations are rather common here, I'd say.  I love English and its many varieties.

Tried all that, nothing works.  It has to be my computer or wi-fi as minecraft works fine for other servers and the issue was not fixed when I re-downloaded it/switched versions.  I've tried: mc.lotc.co, lotc.co, and login.lordofthecraft.net on multiple version.

I tried re-installing minecraft, same problem.  I believe it may be a problem with my wi-fi, as it worked on a different computer at someone else's house about a week ago.

Direct connecting does not work either, same error.  Other servers are working fine also.

When attempting to log in I continually get the following error:

Failed to connect to the server

java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information:

Why might this be?  I recall having this issue before and it being resolved, but I can not recall the solution.  I am currently on 1.7.10 and am using the IP of "mc.lotc.co".

Holtz, the land formerly known as Lurzan, is now offering plots of land to those willing to settle in the southern region.  Each plot of land will be 35x35 and will cost 250 mina.  When the purchase is made, you shall receive a Rutgar Note that serves as a deed to the plot.  It may be traded, sold, or resold as any commodity might.

Those wishing to purchase multiple plots may do so, with each extra plot costing 100 mina more.  For example, 300+400+500 mina would be 3 Rutgar Notes and as such a 105x105 area.  Each 35x35 plot is limited to one building max. unless approved otherwise.

Holtz is a region with strong economic ties to Oren, but is currently independent.  Laws are made by the Archon of Holtz, who is currently Vanbrek zu Holtz.  The land is fertile and ripe for development.  Those wishing to create a homestead, work a farm, or settle down are welcome.  Holtz also features a small capital city known as Ilados, where settlers might come to conduct trade, purchase a home, or simply socialize.

Plots will be determined as Rutgar Notes are turned in.  Those who purchase and turn a Rutgar Note in earlier will have more land options.  Any Rutgar Notes turned in after all land has been partitioned will be refunded.  Please send any questions to Vanbrek zu Holtz.

This is perfect.  This is what gets people wanting to join the server and reminds those who already play just how awesome our story is. It feels amazing knowing that I, and all of you, were part of this.  Very well done.

I believe a few others are working on skins as well, so I will see how those turn out.  Great work though, thank you. 

It looks good so far.  It is possible to make the eyes just one high?  Also, can you use something such as white or silver as the main color of the clothing and then maybe purple or green as a detail color?  Other colors are fine aswell, whatever you think looks best, really. Thank you.

I forgot to mention that, sorry.  Any shade that you feel fits with the overall skin would be fine.

I am in need of a High Elf skin.  If anyone could possibly make one for me, I would be very grateful.
