you'd have problems with penetration into materials because you aren't getting that much velocity out of medieval siege weaponry you've made a gigantic tandem grappling hook with a plank bridge attachment, but it won't stick into castle walls prob altho carlo do gotta give u the credit for creativity

you would probably be fine with doing that so long as you didn't downsize it to like, smaller than "barely golem-portable" (which otherwise would be quite simple to do) hell I might build myself a siege coilgun in the near future

actually just at a glance at the magnetus lore (which I didnt know existed until now) by applying mana and a pulsing stream of redstone (one that only lights one "coil" at a time) you have whats essentially a Gauss gun with no input energy requirement so why not just make a Gauss gun?

ok chummer let me tell you how the chu ko nu (what you just described) really worked You couldn't shoulder it properly as you needed to brace it against your hip for the reload. It only fit about five bolts, and the entire thing was fired by working the handle jutting out the side. Not to mention you can't really aim through a massive box. It was indeed also weaker than the cranequin arbalest, but this was usually made up for by mass fire. Masses of chu ko nu users had the highest rate of fire until the advent of the Gatling gun.
