Immigration boosts GDP, yes. But, it also creates higher competition for jobs in the lower class. It helps the country, at the cost of the poor. Wages in labor jobs go down.

Then there's the undeniable increase in terror. Look at sweden, germany, any of these countries. Attacks are up and the countries have numerous Muslim ghettos that police have said they can't even go into.

That's exactly the issue. It helps the 'country' as an entity, but at the cost to the people of that country. The workers. The victims of the attacks. The rich and the government are benefiting at the expense of everyone else.

Yeah, we're strict on immigration from the area. It's a good thing and largely, works for us. It's the european countries that are importing these people by the boatload that are having all of these issues.

Don't get me wrong, stabilizing the middle east would be a good thing - and I support it.

Whether or not the west messed up middle eastern countries, frankly, doesn't matter. Unfair as it may be, we shouldn't just lie back and let them bomb us because 'we deserve it'. The hand the west played in the situation is, honestly, irrelevant. It's not about fairness, it's about keeping our people safe.

It's not about what's 'right' (even though in this case I firmly believe they aren't 'right') it's about keeping our people safe. If protecting innocent people in my country means means stopping somebody else from getting what they think is 'justice', so be it.

Banning muslims (until we can find a good way to vet them) may be a mean move but I do firmly believe it's the right one. Look at what's happening in Europe right now.

Government corruption is a bit more than a 'single issue', IMO. I do agree with him on a number of other things.

Immigration, Foreign policy (He isn't trying to start a war with Russia, for one). I Don't agree with him on everything but his views line up with mine a lot more than Hillary's "views".

His ethics reform alone is pretty great.

Like, if it was Bernie v. Trump my vote would've been decided in the debates. But Clinton? She represents everything wrong with the government. Corrupt as all hell. Two faced on so many things. Literally enables a rapist (Bill). Hell, she doesn't even try to defend what came out in the leaks - just tries to get them ignored.

Past that, I like Trump's ideas. They're not refined to what a politician would have, but stuff like that ethics reform? That'd never come from an actual politician.

While I don't believe that there should be a legal requirement to stand for it, people can and will rightly criticize you for refusing to do so.
