Keep getting the “Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host” error when trying to log on the server. None of the tutorials seem to help, has anyone run into this as well?

omg if you’re genuinely interested just make up a halfling and come to the village and if you use discord, it’ll help to get other halflings online if they weren’t already to rp (as ofc village isn’t 24/7 populated :p, nowhere is)
there’s also some halfling families that are about if you want to join any of the active ones, they’d probably be down, we try to do a lot of events/participate in server events as well if you haven’t seen any of the halfling news posts, etc. B)

It has become weirdly apparent that as well as roleplay related to server lore, LotC forums are host to some of the best FRPs on the internet.

We have monkey people, cat people, android like golems and red priests. But still no vampires, thanks to Aegis' no Vampires rule :(

I honestly can't wait for the end of this war. It's dragged on too long, brought out the worst in all sides, in all of us as individuals involved. We tribalise into our various groups, villainize the "enemy" and paint them as bad people. The lines between RP and OOC don't exist in wars like this. In peace, people can try out new characters and communities free of pressure. In war, you make the wrong alt and you're a traitor and shunned. It's sad.
