  1. Aobh finds her once student at some point. Overhearing his words, she would begin to violently beat him. "Listen here you drug adled elf. You are a paladin. You do not get to interfere with worldly politics. Only Xan. Your only focus should be to kill darkspawn." Dusting off her hands, she'd return to fishing while the other elf returned to sailing. "Oh how I've missed you..." She'd whisper to the bottle of alcohol beside her as another fish takes the bait.
  2. Proposed new redline: -Ordained heralds who have learned all of the spells and have been ordained for 2+ months are able to be taken off of the MA/CA of the person who originally heralded them. Reason: Allows for more growth in the community akin to other magics/feats. If people are found abusing they should be punished for herald spam. Not the entire community.
  3. Nothing you are going to write on a forum post is going to be important enough to reserve a spot. There are infinite replies available to the playerbase. That said, the rules have more or less been the exact same for 6+ years guys. The only difference is how its handled depends on which admin/mods run the forums at the time. When I did most of it I just hid the anon/reserve/etc posts and left it at that. When others do it they give warnings, and others yet just give 0 point reminders. For some reason people find being given a 0 point reminder to be the worst thing you could do to them. End of the day I think the rules work well and they just need more consistency over the years on how they're handled/enforced. That's the only change that needs to occur.
  4. "I cannot believe Celia'nor just bent the knee to Haelun'or without a war....Ivarielle surely weeps within whatever hellscape she's fled to." Aeolus of Khamees murmurs, brows rising to his hairline as he reads the missive. "Hopefully Haelun'or can evict the darkspawn from Celia'nor's walls." He'd then offer the missive to Hileia of Arbi'a and Elarhil of Ithnain. @wooz @riorr
  5. Oh I didnt realize this was sapphireh2o. Hey old friend :)

  6. How many safety bans did you undo though?
  7. If there's a way for people outside of their CA to pk them I think they should have a lower CD. If they don't I think it should be longer tbh. Its really annoying when ppl you kill just respawn instantly or within the day without extra effort (see: fw ritual being based) needed. Makes it all pointless.
  8. I don't think you understood what I said. I'm saying that if you change the redlines to be this, when they already don't face consequences for pvp, people will abuse it and have their friends vote in favor of pvp and deny it themselves in some scenarios so they don't face the CD. You need to change the redlines you suggested a bit to make this not abusable.
  9. Pretty sure the pvp pk clause for klones was already removed since it originally specified pvp or crp death. I'm pretty sure all of the CAs/MAs that have PK clauses already don't count pvp- though I do agree with enforcing it on ones that do push for pvp over crp. This could be easily abused though by having all of your friends vote in favor of pvp and having you abstain or vote no to avoid consequence....
  10. I would think that blood magic is incompatible with paladinism and templarism due to their nature as deific magics. Inherently 'holy' whereas things like druidism, shamanism, etc don't have that issue and should still be compatible? That would make sense to me, at least. I hope the amendment doesn't get rid of the cool aesthetic combinations people have made over the time since blood magic became a solid thing again.
  11. nah this is for ALL necromancers. Necros aren't inherently corpses presently, theyre just mortals who r rly fucked up.
  12. idk sounds like OP hit the nail on the head since the only complaints have been the colors used and not being given a heads up.
  13. Okay. While I think BBEG darkspawn being slice of life uwu characters is lame I will say. Just because someone roleplays something evil doesn't immediately mean that that character would have no heart/want an emotional connection to something/etc. It isn't that they can't see any other route to character development but rather I think that its just one of many routes used to help develop a character. Even a lot of serial killers were married with kids irl. That said, I 100% support making things like this unromanceable because on lotc a lot of people who start doing romance ONLY end up doing romance or the 'hes evil but I fixed him' trope. It's unfortunate.
  14. 1. I think one of the issues people have had with this post/the way you complain is that you call it swatting. A lot of people genuinely believed you were having cops called on you. When I suggested you refer to it as being hit/etc you said it "wasn't your ******* problem". 2. Plenty of people have offered food, though I know that isn't the original issue or even a major part of it. It's just a minor inconvenience that makes it harder to do anything in game and doesn't excuse the behavior at all. 3. Then modreq on them and get them in trouble. Mods can't really do anything if you're not actively advocating for yourself to them in reqs and reports (actual reports not forum posts). 4. Reasonable request, you're in a goon city, everyone gets punched but if you ask them to stop they should. 5. Why didn't you submit a player report if you felt genuinely harassed about this? I'm not victim blaming here, it's just the natural next step on LotC if you want people to get in trouble and they're not listening to your requests. Or you could have modreq'd and had a moderator speak to them. I've had to do similar in the past. 6. I will say that objectively you cannot be doing this same behavior if you don't want people to do it to you, even if it's different people doing it and even if you think the circumstances are different. If I go around punching people then I'm going to get punched back or chased down. That's just how it goes in a town like Veletz. 7. Have you made a staff report then? 8. So you're actively threatening people that you're going to pvp them and kill them instead of having staff handle the issue? That is, of course, only going to make the situation worse as you've found out. It's like when I used to be toxic back to people hating on me instead of speaking to mods about it. No one wins in the end when you're just stooping to their level. 9. You can report them to the admins. Or post it as a staff report Public Player Report - The Lord Of The Craft I believe there's an option for private reports as well. 10. I don't think its victim blaming or anything so much as most people on this server are going to be socially inept and not understand when they're taking things too far. As well, you were threatening to kill them in pvp, which is objectively a bad reaction. I understand you were frustrated however, and just were trying to make it stop. That said, I know a lot of people were genuinely confused that this was an actual issue and not just banter, since this sort of banter used to be common in communities of similar groups. Your concerns and frustrations are valid but there's definitely better ways to go about getting it handled. 11. I'm objectively not a fan of the threats to quit a server/community to get things handled the way you want when you didn't take the steps with staff to get it handled. It comes across very poorly, especially when you don't actually quit. Though, I am glad you didn't quit. You're a good roleplayer just venting frustration about a situation you dislike. But, again, for future issues you should probably just make a player report instead of screaming at people, cussing them, and threaatening to do worse to them. Mods will handle stuff fairly and players will listen to them or get banned. Its that shrimple.
  15. Hey dude you forgot high elves have more blood/genus/ego than other descendants ;( Pretty neat +1
  16. I like this, especially after having been told when I was possibly going to be given a MA that people didn't like me OOC and would refuse to acknowledge my character's existence over it IRP. +1 One complaint- change the text color its all blurry for me.
  17. No you people wanted this now you're stuck with it
  18. I think it just says a lot about the current state of darkspawn that this stuff has to be redlined in the first place. . .
  19. "Hileia, you look like my twin. What do you mean they'll see you coming a mile away with a hat on? They already do." Aeolus of Khamees responds to his eerily similar looking Xannic Sister. He would then shove a pointy potato sack hat onto her head.
  20. "Will the hats be provided or do we have to bring our own?" Inquires Aeolus of Khamees, ever one to adhere to the laws of the lands he visits! Though, internally, he weeps. Either way, he would prepare a hat for his patrols, just in case.
  21. I will never understand people who actively want to continue a CRP the next day. I just want to get it over with and go next, like a match of league. Also I don't think I've had a CRP last less than 2 hours in the last 3 maps at minimum. It's super typical unless you're doing a practice spar with homies. Not the CRP itself but the #looc crying that occurs from one side or the other like Eli cited. I've had people say they need to go to bed in 30 minutes then stay online three+ hours to complain and argue against any blow that might be fatal to them. People just dislike losing, it's human nature, it's whatever.
  22. "I do not yield. Know the Paladin shall be abhorred, and my quarrel lies with him. So let us settle this. Let us be rid of this paladin cretin..and all may be at peace." Aeolus forced himself to stand upright. On the verge of willing what few embers remained to answer him, he attempted to take a step. Elenora blocked his path. "Did you all hear him?" Inquired Remus. The flow of glowing, amber colored blood had only just stopped. Elenora had moved Aeolus to sit as medics attempted to treat the wounds made worse by the well-intentioned carers who had removed the bone shards and metal from the twice-shattered limb. "I hear the nephilim, yes. I believe it wants to fight Aeolus one to one." Feanor answered. --- Aeolus' gaze was distant. This land reminded him of long buried memories. Of a Farmer, of a Crusade, of a time right after another herald had ripped the muscle and flesh from his left shoulder in the Academy's spire. The Acrean church came into view, Hera walking alongside him as his arms still agonized from the deep cuts and draconic blood that had been bled into. --- "No; if fighting resumes you all follow me. Do you understand?" --- His mind drifted to the Acre church's interior, stood beside Hera as the Farmer spoke to them both. His birth father's decree that no medics were available and the Sohaer's yelling resounded in his head, he reached for that long ago wound and came away with crimson stained fingers within that mindscape... --- His gaze returned to the waking world. "What happened to the boy, Remus?" A moment of quiet as he awaited the answer. "Dead." --- Aeolus' head lowered, within his mind once more. The bowels of the academy, the forge behind the treasure hoard of Morur, the other heralds and his father figure stood before the six-year-old child and her father they'd abducted from the roadside. "You know what must be done." The bucket of molten aurum was handed to Nehtamo, the child stood there, eagerly describing how she had always wished to become an azdrazi. The bucket upturned over her head and then screams...screams and then silence. A child sized statue, deformed, stood guard outside of the Academy from that day on, made of aurum. --- "His spine was snapped and he was slowly bleeding out. I gave him mercy." Elenora added, stirring him from his thoughts. Murmurs of agreement from the others were whispered, confirming that the boy who had saved him numerous times that day suffered and was put to peace. --- The Farmer stood before him once more within that mind space. How different the Farmer and his heralds were, how removed from the power struggles of Tor Azdroth and the hatred of Azdromoth within Mul'naar. He thought of the patrols against Serheim, of the defenses leveled in favor of the humans. He thought of the Vilac's body hung on a cross outside of the Lector's keep, of the dark elf kicking the goblin away and attempting to rend his head from his shoulders and instead ripping his left shoulder away. He thought of Morur shielding him with his own body to save his life. He felt ill. --- "Yet my challenge goes unanswered. Will I sacrifice more, or shall the quarrel be kept between us Paladin?" "I'm not letting you fight Aeolus- don't speak." "I fear not a kindred reunion with those departed. There will be no fighting." Elenora and Remus spoke the words as Aeolus was silent. It was a paladin's duty to defend the innocent, to slay the dark. His right arm hung limp, his left was fine...but his embers were near exhausted from trying to survive. --- He stood in Krugmar as Wilfred of Acre. The sickly glow of ordained marks, decapitated azdrazi with blades piercing their skulls in death, gleamed in the moonlight as he sat beside a corrupted Morur on the wall. He wore the armor of Acre, now the armor of Veletz. "It is no more my place to decide their fate than anyone else's Tobias. Just as it is not my place to decide yours- though my selfish heart will pray that you return to where you belong, freed from this self-made cage that surrounds us." They sat in silence a moment longer before Morur spoke. "I am uncertain. I simply wish to erase all of us. Just to cease - to let heralds free from the lies of manipulation. To end our scourge upon the earth, to stop the wages of politics and wars. However, I know this can only do so much as you said. That is the balance of life. When a void is made, another comes to fill it. But if I were to do nothing and seek redemption - that void will still remain. I crave that small sliver of peace." Wilfred of Acre looked to the corrupted, half skeletal azdrazi next to him and spoke softly. "Perhaps peace is found in acceptance instead of refusal." The room split in two. The great towering trees of Karkosa and the walls of the Hexer camp consumed the orcish city. The voice of Ut'Torvioth damning his brother and reminding him he was useless and weak, Alucard lifting the blade to his own throat... --- "I will not put more lives at risk." Aeolus' head lowered as he sought the will to rise, right shoulder already twisting and churning beneath the plate. "You cannot fight. You tried your best- but you cannot FIGHT. I will not let you." Elenora argued, put a hand to his mouth to prevent any words as he continued to will himself to rise, to fulfill duty. "I sacrifice an eternity...dedicating my very flame to keeping you all in safe keeping. The thralls of Xion, the Order of the Deadmen? Your very lifetime as you know it, in constant war. The rewards are bountiful, eternal. Let this folly not stand in Man's way." --- "Foolish little mal'onnii." The white haired, blue eyed Nehtamo uttered, arms wrapping around an elf slightly shorter in stature with yellow eyes and long, braided white hair. They stood before a great, burning tree, greater than any ash tree could ever aspire to be. Ash was the ground, ashen was the sky, fire was the light which they saw by in the thought. "Mal'onn!" Alucard greeted in some confusion. "I don't think I'll be able to avenge you..." === "You're not getting involved if they decide I die, understood?" Aeolus finally pushed away the mindscape, speaking firmly to those who stood in front of him. Remus asked for healing, and it was given, with the aid of the Long Arm. Aeolus moved to stand... Gaspard demanded a question of the once Sir Hannibal, now exposed to those present as an azdrazi. "Do you yield?" Ahnakriel refused. Gaspard and Ahnakriel dueled to the death. "Here endeth thy lesson." He stood before Sir Gaspard, both exhausted and broken. "Do you yield, Aeolus?" "I yield, Sir Gaspard."
