  1. I pretty much agree with this. Druidism already has so many 'antithesises' to serve as the type of antagonist this lore is aimed to be. For a good example simply look to what Aesopian is doing with march ash. This lore fills a niche which is already well filled and while its not a bad piece of lore, we need to start accepting lore on the basis of if it has a place, not if its written well. That's the hard truth everyone who complains about a lore bloat needs to hear.
  2. i will support this on the condition that it is given a less dumb name
  3. hi ho hi ho aenguldaemon lore is bloated and contradictory because each piece was written mostly in a vacuum as opposed to in collaboration with one another in the interest of creating a coherent pantheon hi ho hi ho
  4. victory posts are dumb no matter which side does it

  5. @Hyena Start charging people 10$ for entry and turn your house into a mini zoo during the weekends, make bank

It should definitely be mandatory for good sportsmanship.

  7. Hi, I assume you're new, so welcome to LOTC. This is a very good character bio, the only thing I would mention is the elven language is actually dead, and apart from a few phrases no one can speak it fluently. I also recommend you skim through the history and aspectism posts in this megathread (This is entirely optional though) Other than that, have fun :) Most other wood elves RP in the Dominion of Malin so head on over if you want to meet them. Enjoy your time here
  8. Its not an end game. End game implies that you become a more powerful version of what you were before, and usually retain all your previous powers (like Keepers and Archons do). These spirits lose all their mortal druidic powers and slowly gain new ones. Considering you need to start at square one (tier 1) with entirely new powers if your character dies and becomes a guardian spirit, I dont see how this qualifies.
  9. This lore has my support as a druid, an LT and the original writer of the fae realm/druidic spirit lore that this ties into heavily

  11. Hey I think she should be getting more kudos for putting this together. Impressive for a new player. One thing I'd add about Aspectism is that its seen as an ethnoreligion (i.e a primarily elven faith)
  12. I want it on aesthetic alone. My e-boner will be amplified tenfold if my druidic staff as a cool glowing rock embedded in it.
  13. 190 people online. 1 GM on duty. not the first time this has happened this week either.

It's the holidays when people should be spending time with family,  I'd give them the benefit of the doubt for these 2-3 weeks

Wait, do inactive snelfs actually get into staff positions? Though I will admit, I rarely have issues contacting the current staff. I'm not sure this is as big a deal as it's being made to seem.

  15. RPing a culture inspired off a real life one is fine, but please dont actually copy/paste a name from real life like the celts. I would also change up the name of your gods and other stuff as I know at least one was an actual celtic god IRL. If you make these changes then you'll be good to go. Please PM me if you have any questions.
  16. I'm all for a culture of sea-faring dwarves but I don't think it needs to be a subrace. Like others have said, subrace implies a key genetic/physical difference from normal dwarves.
  17. On my thoughts of the lore itself, I think its good. Druids being able to explore the Fae Realm opens up huge new avenues of RP for them. As for the overlap with Shamanism... there really isn't any. It's druids learning how to enter the druidic realm. Not druids learning shamanism or entering the shamanic realm. I don't mind a Shaman being able to show them how to do it, but I also would like it added that druids are capable of figuring it out for themselves. After all, if every other deity magic/group is able to figure out how to get itno their deific planes on their own then the Druids shouldnt NEED a shaman to show them how (although it can help).
