  1. A Reign Nearing its End Fellow Dwedmar, as we settle into our new home it has pleased me greatly to see many new faces, as well as old ones return. The clergy is resurgent under a new more dedicated High Prophetess, our lands continue to develop through the expansion of farmlands, and the generosity of our kin has shown through the tremendous efforts of UAID. However, there remains work to be done; work that shall be the duty of my successor to complete. I am pleased to see Urguan regain its footing after years of turmoil which means it will soon be the time to pass the torch. It is my intention to retire from my post as Grand King on the fourth day of the next stone week ((Thursday)). In my remaining months as your Grand King I intend to oversee the blessing of the new capital alongside our esteemed High Prophetess, as well as host a tournament, the winner of which shall be crowned the first Grand Champion of Aevos. Upon the conclusion of these festivities Urguan shall enter an election cycle, and a new Grand King elected. To all who may run to succeed me, be pure of heart and sure of purpose, the burden you shall take on is not an easy one to bear. With all being said, may Ogradhad’s wisdom bless my successor, and may Yemekar grant you strength. Narvak oz Urguan! Signed, Agnar Grandaxe, Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of Grandaxe, Defender of Kal’Ordholm, Protector of the Dwarves
  2. Transcript of the King’s Court | 132 S.A The Obsidian Throne within the Halls of Kal'Kadrelaz, circa 132 S.A ____________ The Grand King, Agnar Grandaxe, walks into the throneroom through the back doors before taking his seat on the ancient Obsidian Throne. As he did so he’d look out towards those that had begun to gather in the throneroom for the King’s Court before he began. Citizens and Friends within the Grand Kingdom of Urguan! Today marks the first of many future King’s Courts to come. And today, I’d like to run through announcements from the Obsidian Throne that many of you may have heard. Just recently we’ve set up the new tax office and are now in the business of tax slips rather than Minek. The Stewards, and even myself have considered this to be a more efficient and easier system to manage for the Kingdom’s tax income. That being said, taxes begin this stone weekend. Furthermore, I’d like to announce that the work for the reforms of our Articles is drafted and is to be voted upon by the Clan Lords of Urguan this stone weekend. The core reason why these changes must be made is simple; Our current Articles contradict themselves. Among the changes is the allowance of the Grand King or future Queen to have sole authority over the guilds. What some do not understand is that the current articles grant the king authority over the Royal Guilds only. For example, the Yemekar’s Workforce is not considered a Royal Guild by the current Articles of Urguan and is a reflection of how many aspects of our Articles seem to be out of date. Within these Reforms, we seek to make our laws more simplified and straightforward, simplifying scores of laws in our current Articles into single sections. Within the reform, the Obsidian Throne, and those within the committee seek to lessen the burden of constant meetings of the Grand Council by instead forming a Clansmoot that takes place when needed. Through some debate, it still appears people are still filled with confusion about the different powers of the Clansmoot. To make the difference clear, there is no change besides a few additions to what is current along with the name and how the system is run. Lastly, within these reforms is the formation of a proper Guild Master’s Council. A Council that will further and better clear the current Grand King’s authority over the guilds within Urguan. Many may wonder the reason for a Guild Master’s Council and the answer is simple; Our guilds are very much the core of our nation. Without the guilds where do we as a nation or as a community gather amongst each other and work along with each other? It is the guilds. Some say it’s the clans, yet clan events are only for the clan that host’s them, whilst the guilds are for the community. As the reforms are voted upon, let those who read the transcript of this speech or listen to it here and now, remember this... We shall create a system that will improve the current status of things within our Kingdom and facilitate true community involvement within our nation. Narvak oz Urguan! By order of the Obsidian Throne: Per the request of Thalgrim Goldhand, the Obsidian Throne and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, officially, put forth a recognition of service to Yemekar during the times within the Under Failor. That being said, we the people of Urguan, recognize the following: - Relon Irongrinder - Duren Ireheart - Dimur Mythrilborn - Dor’Nal Hammerfist Per the request of Sigrun Ireheart, a public oath from the Grand King to the Brathmordakin and the blessing over our new city, Kal’Kadrelaz shall be set within the stone week. This shall be hosted by the newly appointed, Auriel Doomforged, High Prophetess of Da Kirkja Dverga. Per information given by Kazrin, the Obsidian Throne hereby calls for an expedition led by him along with accompany of the Grand King to be held regarding the dungeon-like gate that was discovered nearby. Per the request of Sigrun Ireheart, a Grand Tournament shall be held next stone week for the chance of someone gaining the title of Grand Champion of Urguan. Signed, Agnar Grandaxe, Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of Grandaxe, Defender of Kal’Ordholm, Protector of the Dwarves
  3. The Grand King remembers he didn't lock the doors, instead it was Thalgrim, and Thalgrim didn't hand out the copies to the right people for a while. While also remembering handing out keys before he destroyed the door per requests of some citizens and seeing it as an oppetunity for more tourists to visit the new city. "Odd d'at one of d'e publishers is callin' me sleepy due to d'e fact I told d'e very few citizens w'o asked about farms didn't listen to me w'en I told d'em we 'ave farms within Hefrumm's district and d'at we are to be makin' farms outside d'e city soon. Sometimes I forget 'ow impatient some people can be" The Grand King would go back writing the new tax slips soon to be published along with working with Barundin and others, on final drafts of the reforms.
  4. Grand Feast of Celebration ________________ As we embark upon new adventures within the realm of Aevos, we are also met with a new city. A city that shall be named Kal’Kadrelaz, also known as the City of the Great Forge. And upon this missive, I write and invite all citizens of Urguan and our friends within Aevos to Kal'Kadrelaz so that we may celebrate in a matter of great peace and prosperity! —----- Here I list special invitations to the following: King Georg I of Haense and his citizens King Adrian I of Balian and his citizens King James I of Aaun and his citizens King Odin I of Norland and his citizens Rex Kybal’Akaal and the Iron Horde Signed Agnar Grandaxe, Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of Grandaxe, Defender of Kal’Ordholm, Protector of the Dwarves
  5. "Since when did Jorvin die?" The Grand King wonders upon reading the missive.

  8. No one can doubt out of all the Orenian Empires, the 5th Empire was the strongest until the last 2 to 3 months.
  9. The Grand King lofts a brow. What are you on now? You do know that it was announced and a committee is made for the rewrites. And there is a lot of clan representation in it, yes? Lastly, what is this tax raise you're speaking of as there has been no such discussion. Didn't know a nation leader is a tyrant for there being taxes on housing. Guess you can say, how dare any nation leader tax houses.

  11. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ ᚨ ᚲᚨᛚᛚ ᛟᚠ ᚢᚾᛁᛏᚤ A Call for Unity ᛗᚨᛞᚾᛖᛋᛋ ᚺᚨᛋ ᚺᚨᛞ ᛁᛏᛋ ᛏᛁᛗᛖ _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Today’s message is not addressed towards any individual, but to all dwedfolk. In the years surrounding 1636 FA, we saw nothing but war between dwedmar, culminating in acts of mass kinslaying, and the dissolution of Urguan. It was not until decades later that the sons and daughters of Urguan found themselves united once more under the banners of Agnarumm. Finally, after years of division the dwarves were united once more and the current Grand Kingdom was reborn. What we could not see at the time, however, were the cracks of division that remained. Since this reformation, we’ve found the future to be nothing more than continuous disputes and threats made amongst fellow kin. These cracks were revealed after the divisive election between Norli Starbreaker and the honorable, Durorn Ireheart, which prompted many within the Kingdom to disputes of protest regarding the election and how it was done. Then, during the rule of Ulfric Frostbeard, we saw this trend continue as simple miscommunication led to more division in times of war. Finally, during the reign of Bakir Ireheart, we witnessed a great exodus of dwedfolk due to disagreements and a regime of greed taking over within Urguan’s councils. This leads us to today. Under my rule, the ever-growing cycle of dwarven division has continued. However, with the Trial of Rhun officially behind us, it is time for us to stop this crack from spreading even more. It is time for us to pick up our tools and begin to forge a new way; a way in which we may prosper as in times of old. More than ever, it is time for us to unite and meet the threat of the Mori who lurk in our deep roads. In the name of Yemekar’s balance, let us be united once more! Narvak oz Urguan! _____________________________________________________________________________________________ By Order of the Obsidian Throne: - A call for clergy to be officially declared as separate from the state and for the clergy to no longer seek to politicize it. - A call for the Articles of Urguan to be completely reformed and rid of its outdated flaws that have stood for the past centuries. - The establishment of a proper system within the High Courts on how trials are conducted. - For all grudges currently to be dissolved and resolved regarding around the Rhun Trial with the guidance of the Grand Chancellor and Justiciar. Signed, Agnar Grandaxe, Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of Grandaxe, Defender of Kal’Ordholm, Protector of the Dwarves
  12. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ ᛏᚱᛁᚨᛚ ᛟᚠ ᚱᚺᚢᚾ A Settlement Made ᛏᛁᛗᛖ ᚠᛟᚱ ᚢᚾᛁᛏᚤ _________________________________________________________________________________________________ In light of appeals made on behalf of the Rhun Oathed, the magistrates and Grand King of Urguan have seen fit to revisit the conduct and results of the aforementioned trial. Following the completion of this review, both the High Court and Rhun Oathed have agreed to an out of court settlement of the case that will avoid further legal battle. The terms of settlement are as followed; The Rhun Oathed reaffirms the authority of the Grand King and Government over the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and all of its citizens and residents. Due to the potential legal connotations surrounding the word ‘Prophet’ via its associations with Da Kirkja Dverga, the Rhun Oathed shall henceforth cease using the term Prophet to describe any of their members in public forums and documentation. The Rhun Oathed have agreed to remain open to dialogue and debate with other religious sects and denominations within Urguan. The Rhun Oathed acknowledges the decision of the High Courts of Urguan that Garedyn is not guilty of the crime of Kinslay, under the cited reason of self defense. Any further mention of Garedyn as a Kinslayer will be ruled as insinuating him to be guilty of the crime, and is liable to charges of Slander and will be punished as a fourth degree crime. So long as the Rhun Oathed adhere to these terms as long as they remain relevant in Urguan Law, they shall face no further prosecution for the crimes mentioned in the trial prior to appeal. Signed, Agnar Grandaxe, Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of Grandaxe, Defender of Kal’Ordholm, Protector of the Dwarves Dagmir Grandaxe, Grand Ambassador of Urguan, Acting Magistrate of the High Court of Urguan Axel Ireheart, Acting Magistrate of the High Court of Urguan Durin Hammerforge
  13. The Grand King looks over the appeal before going to gather the other Magistrates in order to review over the missive presented.
  14. ________________________________________________________________________________ ᚢᚱᚷᚢᚨᚾ ᚡᛋ ᚱᚺᚢᚾ The Trial of Rhun ᛏᚺᛖ ᛏᚱᛁᚨᛚ ᛟᚠ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚱᚺᚢᚾ ________________________________________________________________________________ It appears that many within the Kingdom may not have liked all that transpired in the courtroom during the trial of Ursus Grandaxe. Yet it was within my duty as your Grand King, with the oath I swore, to not only defend and protect our Kingdom but to ensure our laws are upheld. Despite this, I must admit there could’ve been a better way for this to be done yet that is all said and done. As for now, we must look at what is before us, and look towards when and what will take place for The Trial of Rhun. After a few stone days after the arrests, it appeared to me that we must ensure that the Urguani system for fair trials continues within this Grand Kingdom. So as the King I hereby declare that I myself will oversee this trial. Not only this, I call upon the honorable Dagmir Grandaxe to be named as acting Magistrate with another soon to be announced, so that they may be able to assist me in this upcoming trial and to ensure its fairness. Original Charges: I. Violation of Articles 1.1, 1.2. Review: The accusation of breaking these articles may very well be true, yet it doesn’t appear that the High Courts have the right to voice jurisdiction on that case as it is spiritual, not temporal. II. Treason Review: The original charge states for the attempted assassinations of Bakir & Dravil Ireheart. Yet treason is meant for attempted assassinations of a King or someone of high authority. Dravil being neither, put this under question for attempted murder or assault. To which also begs another question of whether or not this ties into the trial known as the ‘Trial of Bakir & Sons”, and if so the charge will likely be highly questioned. III. Vandalism & Disrespect of Holy Relics Review: While it seems a pouring of tanglefoot potion was said, it is unknown if this truly happened or who was to do it. That being said, it’ll be put into question at trial for investigation. IV. Impersonation of a Public Official & Vigilantism & Kidnapping Review: States that the Rhun acted in authority in the arrest of Ursus Grandaxe. Yet Thromdrick, the Justicar, had the right to imprison and act as a high public official in Urguan. It is stated to be illegal within the charge, which is untrue. V. Insubordination Review: The charge of this states about the High Prophet being called heretic and kinslayer, despite being proven in the High Courts under the jurisdiction of former Justicar, Briga Irongut. So this charge will instead be moved to slander as this charge has nothing to do with insubordination. VI. Conspiracy Review: Nothing to be reviewed besides being up for pure investigation during the trial. And will be declared as, Conspiracy of Sedition. VII. Tax Evasion Review: Unknown, will need testimonies and further investigations. ________________________________________________________________________________ Charges after extensive review: I. Treason II. Attempted Murder or Assault on Dravil Ireheart III. Vandalism IV. Disrespect of Holy Relics V. Slander VI. Conspiracy of Sedition VII. Tax Evasion Signed, Agnar Grandaxe, Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of Grandaxe, Defender of Kal’Ordholm, Protector of the Dwarves OOC of Trial Date & Time:
  15. Cleansing of the Swamp ᚲᛚᛖᚨᚾᛋᛁᚾᚷ ᛟᚠ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚱᚺᚢᚾ ᚲᚢᛚᛏᛁᛋᛏᛋ Regarding the events during the trial of Ursus Grandaxe, there was a call for the arrest of the Rhun Cultists that had plagued the Kingdom and the Brathmordakin for the last few stone months. With some investigation by da Kirkja Dverga, it was ordered for the arrest of many of its participants. So with the backing of the Obsidian Throne and the newly reformed Legion of Urguan, arrests were held. The Obsidian Throne hereby declares: - The Trial of Ursus Grandaxe will continue at a later date. But he along with the Rhun Cultists shall be placed on bond until the trial. If none show up they will be condemned. They are free to roam in the city and are not to be harmed. Signed, Agnar Grandaxe, Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of Grandaxe, Defender of Kal’Ordholm, Master of Punji-Sticks, Protector of the Dwarves
  16. The Grand King would loft a brow at the comment of his people and the curse they carry. "Interesting.. best not use that to insult fellow umri again. As it's almost as if we, dwarves, are being insulted."
