  1. Sounds good to me. On another note would you consider it a creature?
  2. We digress but I'll address your comment. I'm talking about the plethora of ghouls and stalkers we have. At one point there were 20 apps in 2 weeks. That's an entirely different topic and there's no reason to get into an argument about it over a lore post about plant children.
  3. Also on another note to address, I agree with your opinion on the 'Lich, Darkstalker, and Ghoul Pandemic' sweeping across lotc. Thing is I see and hear a lot of complaining INCLUDING from myself but I personally can't see, nor have I seen a legitimate fix against it besides 'Fix it in rp', and until lore or some other means to combat the once 10 a week ghoul/darkstalker application we once had there's nothing any of us can do. However that's another issue entirely and I digress.
  4. I'm not trying to 'destroy your race', do I have issues with them sure, am I allowed to voice an opinion yes. But to say plants can make a flesh and blood child from 'eating meat' or plant organs is ridiculous imho. I'm not saying you can't have children and in fact I stated at the end of my post bryo on bryo is more than acceptable in my eyes. Make it unique, make some plant children and lore surrounding it to add depth and something unique to your race as well. That's a very naive opinion, if something has nothing to do with me I shouldn't have a say in how it interacts with the entire server or community? No. If I see an issue and it's glaring and people in the community have an issue with it along with it being beyond strange in the rp/lore sense I'm going to call it out. I'm not out on a witch hunt, I'm trying to have a civil discussion. I'm just pointing something out that in my eyes is a core issue with the lore, and I'm clearly not alone. My entire argument isn't based around 'does it add rp', it's around the lore legitimacy of it. I've edited the proposal to be more specific, Bryophites can't have flesh and blood children due to the soul and incompatibilities with their organs, I could go into a myriad of reasons such as not being able to sustain body temperature and blood but I'm not a doctor and this is an rp fantasy server.
  5. Personally I don't see what they add to rp, they're in every way normal even lore wise except for the added benefits of...a plant. So besides this particular bit which severely bothers me and is clearly a heavy flaw I'd like to see them reworked to the point where they actively add to rp or just outright remove further creation of them in total. Apologies to those that feel this is a heavy stance, it's my opinion.
  6. Pretty simple. I don't see how in lore it's possible for plants to have flesh and blood babies when they themselves are...well...plants. The Proposal Bryophites can no longer have flesh and blood children. The Reason The reason for this being so, Bryophitism changes the soul in such a way where reproduction is not possible, akin to a kha with a non-kha along with incompatibilities concerning organs and body temperature.
  7. 100 upvotes and I'll post a video of me tearing this charcoal mask off my face, also sup guys I'm back!

  8. Shades auras are not corrupted, just their souls. I don't know why we'd need a shade gem to bind a familiar. That lore piece doesn't seem relevant anymore as we don't use aura anymore but mana to create amber.
  9. No worries it's nice to get constructive feedback on the matter. I see your concerns. It's not like summoning an evocated flame. It takes longer and we're literally slicing off a piece of our soul to do it which hampers our ability to use shade magic afterward. The ability is sacrificial in nature and to be honest we'd probably need someone protecting us to successfully get it off. It's not something we can summon on a whim as slicing off a piece of your soul is no easy or quick task.
  10. Hey Web Developers/Anyone, maybe we should add a discord section under skype, and/or possibly removing the skype line since we've switched over to discord. #Skypeisbloatware

  11. Fair enough, thanks for correcting me. It should be noted though by communing it'll cause issues for said druid. I would assume though this wouldn't extend to Ambercrafting as it's not nature. As for caliginous flame only a select few will have the ability to use it and said shades will have to give up multiple other magics just to go be able to use it. Can't really say much more on it than that. I think it's balanced imo but we'll see what others have to say as well.
  12. Caliginous flame is only an ability utilized by shade fathers and foretakers. Not only that it's something that said shades have to give up 3 magic slots to use. As for druids getting the 'short stick' I was under the assumption that they couldn't heal something unholy which is amber, correct me if I'm wrong though. It's one thing for them to heal blighted land which has to do with life force, it's another to purify tainted mana or a soul.
  13. I'm not disagreeing with you nor saying you are wrong but it's been a part of shade lore for quite some time. Here's a piece from our currently written and approved lore. Mind saying exactly what makes it not work and why?
  14. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty.
