I’m honestly so sick of seeing people comment on applications, basing their definitive opinion of someone on the words of their ‘friend’ or ‘group’. If you’re going to throw accusations at someone that supposedly are true and a reason for the person being so terrible, at least show up with receipts and proof. Give us a first-hand, personal experience of the person that you’ve had, or don’t comment at all. Because otherwise, you look like someone’s minion, doing their bidding.

i would say that someone should make a universal cards against humanity deck for lotc but nobody will get all the jokes?

Who is Libel and why are they upset? A new Admin perhaps?

I hope by now it is clear that most of the ‘toxicity’ that comes around player bases from their leadership is mostly derived from staff pushing the constant need to be on the server at a very consistent play-style, otherwise there is punishment that comes for not having as many people online as your neighbours. Which causes discontent between the leaders of the settlement who wants his little town to flourish and the residents who simply want to have a fun time on a server whilst also living their life outside of the server. Rules and punishments that revolve around time and activity only end up hurting what they are built to support.

hey guys just got a 172 month ban due to my 6th discrepancy falling under subsection a, ruling 72 in the indirect result of me failing to follow guideline f page 1047 sentence 17

not even surprised anymore

@Pun why are you punishing a playerbase because you managed to lose activity data and are incapable of running a command to get the data manually

What is the actual point of there being an age requirement of 13 when it isn’t actually enforced in any way. There are people who clearly underage that are able to continue playing the server. But why? What’s stopping them from just claiming to be 13 (or some other close number) despite in reality being a preteen. LotC has had issue with pedophiles in the past that take advantage of this problem that plagues LotC. In fact, the pedophilia problem is one of the biggest reasons why people who used to play aren’t anymore. The age requirement, from my understanding, is to prevent younger people from graphic roleplay and on the darker side being under the influence of nefarious neckbeard predators that are attracted to roleplay servers like LotC while also filtering and keeping the more mature players in and kicking the immature players out if they don’t seem LotC-roleplay ready (which honestly doesn’t mean a lot these days). So with this in mind, why isn’t much been done to prevent incidents that result because of obvious preteens still playing. This could be prevented to some extent by raising the age requirement a few years higher (to 16 or 17 even) and temporarily banning younger players to ensure that the average maturity among players is higher and to prevent (or at least discourage those) who try to take advantage of young players. Of course, I think removing child predators is a much preferable alternative but unfortunately we can’t get them all until they do something wrong to show that they are one..tl;dr Increase age requirement to discourage child predators and increase average maturity levels.
Yes, I acknowledge it isn’t 100% effective but I know it would be better than what we have now.

I was banned from the Orc discord, because Jandy believed me to be a “Raguk plant,” for RPing a character not wanting a civil war. The absolute state of Orc RP.

we either breach privacy by confirming ages through I.D
or we just push discouragement for a younger audience instead with this risk in mind
both are pretty awful scenarios, and ideally this wouldn’t even have to be a problem to begin with. But it is, and at the end of the day, it’s unfair to force minors to confirm their age through photo ID just to play the game

Imagine requiring moderators to be present and not just doing a field battle against each other, 2 birds 1 stone. No idiots typing about chicken in the chat n u get to fight ez
-
First of all, my name’s literally right there on the page man.
Second of all, I was already travelling 3 hours to see my nan at the time. I was there in spirit, but ultimately I’ll always put IRL before LotC. Already given my fair share of insurmountable and unconditional hours to staff, nan’s more important.

California has banned semi autos. The revolution has begun. We must fight back against the mods and lore team lest they oppress us as California oppresses it’s citizens

Moderation team is recruiting currently so if you ever had complaints about the GMs and think their job is easy then apply and see if you can handle what they do every day

If you could choose anywhere in the world to go for a week, without worrying about safety or money, where would you go?

if youre going to ghost people in brannby can you at least not dm them asking if you can use their rp discussions to insult them later.
i shouldnt need to link the rules to staff conduct or metagaming to you.
cheers.
