The Horde would begin to amass in Krugmar listening to the address of the Dominus.  It was apparent to all that new and old Uruk alike were gathering in alarming frequency within the massive walls of this sacred Goi.   It was only a matter of time before these Elves would make their move.  With each passing day the Horde continues to grow.  Malgunuz would stand atop the gates of Krugmar looking down upon the chosen people of Krug.  This was their time.

Malgunuz would wipe the blood from his sword, ash falling from the cactus green in his mouth.  He would hear some small men shouting insults as they hid within their keep.  The last seven defenders of the keep were unfortunately too craven to face the assembled horde.  He looked down the road as Haense escorted the saved princess back to their city.  With so many dead ferrymen the gathered horde began to roll their rotting corpses into the river to clear a path back home.

"Mi tink dat diz klomp bi ovur.  Hozh work every azh dat helped!"

Uruk could be seen streaming out of Krugmar in massive numbers.  Clearly new and old uruk alike have returned to bolster the warbands of the Horde.  Massive siege machines were beginning preparation for the war should Elysium not accept the Rex's demand.   A red Uruk would shout from behind the growing WAAAAGH.

"UG, ELYZIUM HAZ NUB REKOURZE BUHT TU ZURRENDUR.  IHTZ CHOPPIN' TIK!"

"Mercy..." a young elf huffs out, sarcastically "Orcs are gross creatures. Someone should move to help these poor Elysians. I had to watch an 'aheralic oem'ii a month ago almost getting slaughtered by these monsters. When will we save the many Elves in Elysium? We have the strenght, don't we?" the same elf asks, no one in particular...

Malgunuz would grin at such a statement.  "Deez twiggiz fink dey goht zum teefz."

Malgunuz would gaze at the burning city as the banners of the Horde danced around outside.  Today marked the day of the siege.  The long awaited day had come at long last.  The red uruk would heft up his sword as he returned to Krugmar to assist with preparing the trebuchets to finally tear the walls of Elysium down.  No longer could they hide from Krug's will for no walls can withstand the might of the Horde.

"Ouhr trebuchetz will beat upon latz wallz lyk a drone ubbun ah druhm.  Bettur fynd a bub'hozh hideeng playze!"

Malgunuz would grin as he began pushing the trebuchet he was assigned to the front-lines of the siege.

Mon/Thurs 6:30 PM EST the Orcs of the Iron'Uzg run a trading caravan.  You're more than welcome to join us if you have any wares to sell or trade.  You can also earn minas by travelling with us and acting as hired guards for our caravan.  This nets you about 25 minas a trip.  We venture to many of the different nations of Almaris, paying extra care as to what nations have activities going on during our route times.  This maximizes potential profits.  We typically trade rare ore, ST Weapons, Armor, and other various trinkets.  We do have specialized roles within the caravan such as Smiths that can forge our ore we sell into daggers and swords for use by our customers.

When it comes to making minas you need to think about what people care to buy.  This is typically only signed ST items or items of roleplay significance.  While you could theoretically open your own bakery and player-sign your items with special lore text, this will only be as valuable as the name thats attached to your item.  If you're not an ST, fair chance that item isn't going to be worth much more than ten minas.  Feel free to reach out if you ever want some tips on making money always happy to help a new player on their journey.

A Red Uruk would be seen loading a very large wagon filled of goods that they planned to give to their brothers and sisters in the Silver City.  The sunshine would beat down upon him as he observed his goblins all strapping down the precious trade goods.  He would raise his hand to shade his eyes as he prepared himself for the long journey ahead.  "Da Twiggiz will lyk diz zhipment ub trayd guudz wi goht ihn ztock mi tink.  Kant wayt tu peeyp da look on durr facez!  Chox!  Mayk zur lat ztrapz down da orez tytli, yub.  Bub'hozh!"  With that, the Iron'Uzg Trading Caravan would be seen heading to their allies in the Silver City, gifts in-hand.

This article serves as formal agreement of the defensive pact between the Iron’Uzg and the Kingdom of Norland, henceforth referred to as The Frostfire Pact.

    ARTICLE I : DEFENSIVE ALLIANCE

The two nations will come to one another’s aide should an enemy conduct an offensive strike against either nation.

The two nations will allow their military to work independently of one another to maximize effectiveness of their respective established leadership.

As the two nations are now in such an agreement, an attack from any foreign adversary is considered an attack on both nations.  There can be no blurred lines between such and both nations will act with ruthlessness to uphold this agreement against any such enemy.

Additionally, the warriors of the signatories, uruk or human, agree to military correspondence in order to orchestrate joint training and further cooperation within military affairs, working alongside each other to tackle the threats of this realm.

ARTICLE I.II : DECLARATION OF FRIENDSHIP

The Signatories recognize their people’s ongoing friendship and promise to act in good faith when acting on the geopolitical stage, pursuing further cultural exchange with each other in the name of sharing knowledge and mutual respect.

The Signatories shall exchange warriors and scholars for trials of proving honour; the Ashguard of Norland shall endeavour to pursue the right of Honourary within the Iron’Uzg, and the Horde of the Iron’Uzg shall endeavour to pursue the right of warrior training within the Kingdom of Norland.  In addition the Iron’Uzg Trading Caravan will set up a permanent space within the Kingdom of Norland to ensure their people are supplied with the finest goods and weapons known to Almaris.  They shall be allowed the right to trade within the Kingdom of Norland at any point in time.

The Kingdom of Norland shall be given a permanent embassy inside the Iron’Uzg to store goods for the Trading Caravan and to conduct delegation with the Horde.

    ARTICLE II : RELIGION

The signatories agree to respect the religious differences of both nations, whilst also seeking to educate each other on both the Spirits and the Red Faith to promote further friendship.

    ARTICLE III : PAYMENT

As the truest friends of the peoples of the Horde, the Kingdom of Norland will not need to pay any protections and tributes.

The Kingdom of Norland will thus refrain from taxing Horde-owned land within the Kingdom of Norland such as stalls, embassies, et cetera.

ARTICLE IV : PASSAGE AND LAND

The Signatories will allow free passage for civilians and refugees through their respective territories. When visiting either signatories’ territories, citizens are expected to abide by the laws and customs of that territory, or colony, or embassy. This is enforced fully by the laws of the Spirits, The Red Faith, the Will of The Rex, and the Will of the King of Norland. Recognizing their respective lands and colonies as their respective homelands, and theirs by ancestral rites.

Should an issue or conflict arise which breaches this article, the Signatories agree to handle the matter via appropriate, diplomatic means.

    ARTICLE V : DURATION

This pact will remain in effect for twenty years. Initially for a period of eight years, will the two be tied, and after that time is up, a reaffirmation will be held to maintain our strongest of bonds.

    Signed,

His Highness, Ragnvald Eiriksson Ruric, King of Norland, Duke of Varhelm and Alisgrad, Lord of Eiriksgrad, High Chieftain of the Rurikkid, Chieftain of Clan Eiriksson, Protector of the Highlanders

How to join our caravan as a Merchant or Guard?

The Horde of the Iron’Uzg employs a plethora of different races to participate in its massive caravan.  Without this employment, we could not source the highest quality of goods to bring to you, our customers.  We do not discriminate between any races that wish to join our caravan.  Guard roles are typically only given to those with prior military experience or body-guard protection.

We seek to employ additional guards and merchants to join our caravan in order to find the best goods this land has to offer.  Please fill out this slip and provide it to the Caravan Master to join us on our next expedition.

Why have you decided to apply for the Moderation Team?

I have the drive to be a positive force of change to those I meet and I hold a great deal of optimism for the good work I could accomplish on the Moderation Team.  In the past, I used to get extremely frustrated with Moderation and the countless decisions I considered to be poorly made. I think nowadays rulings are a bit more fair and in-line with what I would come to expect from a Moderation team.  I have a good amount of spare time with my job being mostly remote and my college being on break. I could dedicate around 15-25 hours a week towards ticket resolution, player-moderation, community building, and working towards making the server a more welcoming place.

I would really like to help out with war and general community assistance.  Taking up GM support tickets, handling conflict resolution, just helping everyone get along.

What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?

Moderation's willingness to be part of multiple communities and embrace the playerbases that dwell within.  I want to bridge these gaps that players may have and the difficulty that probably comes from that in regards to communicating with one another.  Not everyone gets along and being able to help everyone work towards becoming a more connected community is my end-goal for my time on the team.

What are your best & worst qualities?

My best qualities are my time-management, my communication skills, and my ability to build relationships with those around me.

My worst qualities are my varied play-time and sometimes having to step away from my desk unexpectedly.  It's hard for me to remain consistently online for periods of 4-5 hours or greater.  I have a job that can pull me away from the desk at any time. I also have school but this is a non-factor for the next three months.

If there is a rule you disagree with— which one is it, and why?

None as of now.  I really like the current rules we have in place.  I would have posted the old raid rules regarding defender default had I been forced to choose one but they have since been updated.

Link insightful feedback that speaks personally to you.

Orcs have for a very long time felt like their voice have not been heard from those who handle the lore/magic on the server.  While I don't think that something like this changes over night, I think feedback/your view threads get us closer to where we need to be.  At least these kinds of threads encourage dialogue, feedback, and perhaps even open some eyes as to problems that certain communities are encountering.  Paying close attention to threads like this are how we can work to make sure that every voice is heard on our server.

Malgunuz would stare into the pit, his gaze distant as he felt deep sadness with what he was about to do.  Times have changed and it was something he knew the spirits would be pleased with as his offering meant dearly to him.  More so than anything else he possessed in this world.

He would begin removing the necklace of tusk fragments from his fallen child, Khorgak’Raguk.  He would hold them over the pit, agony stricken across his face as his massive hand felt the aged rope necklace slowly fall from his fingertips into the murky abyss below him.  His eyes felt with intense sorrow as he watched it fall gracefully down into the pit below.
