  1. @Caelria The point I was trying to make was that mistakes are going to be made regardless (which is fine), and it's unlikely we're going to have a map perfect for everyone's preferred playstyle (which is fine) Should've been more clear in that in hindsight. But yeah, making a map for a server like LotC isn't as easy as it may seem

  3. An 'Aheral cackled in a place between civilization and blissful nothing, wandering the feigned edge of lost and aware, found and not. "Know, no; Change."
  4. A corcitură taken by unchallenged thirst had become little more than a beast. His mind could not comprehend, not come to the conclusion that someone he wished to have called his ally was now gone. The semblance of mortality that was left in him would certainly grief, if ever it became dominant once more.

  6. Hey all, I'm looking to set up a writing group for (non-lotc related) long-form fantasy / sci-fi writing. Think weekly / bi-weekly feedback/critiques and keeping accountability on consistent writing. If you're interested, shoot me a PM on discord [ Nick#2014 ].

  7. A nameless mage stopped in his return, the faltering winds and that sensation of safety alerting him. Turning to the heavens, the man hollered to the emptiness above. "You've failed before, you fail again!" Then only whispers came from him, that bitterness that came with age hidden from that god that unbeknownst to the mage, did not exist, "You couldn't save them before. You couldn't save them." And that bitterness grew, cries to an illusion lingering in the air, not meant for that which had come, but for a salvation that would never come.
  8. Shouldn't have sat there for free pex... who the **** made me orange >:(

  10. Favorite character of mine? Music? Favorite RP experience? Favorite character you've played?
  11. >:) If I were more active maybe I would have, but I don't expect to be around that week / those days so I thought I might as well do it now and rep farm the fact I'm stepping down from CT management a little If this is admin approval for the name Sh1tposting I will, but I'm still scared @itdontmatta will shoot me So I left for a little while, maybe 1-2 years (I'm bad with keeping track of time, don't yell at me if I'm a bit off), and in the end I decided to come back because I honestly just really enjoy meeting new people with similar interests. And storytelling has always been a big vibe. You know I love grimdark... Probably either military roleplay or hunting RP. Neither have ever really appealed to me and they just feel incredibly slow. Which is kind of weird because I do enjoy political roleplay from time to time, even though it can be just as slow. It's hard to say what my favorite place would be. I generally go all over the place, but recently I've been hanging around Oren most since it's the easiest place to find activity plus the kind of roleplay I'm looking for in my timezone (carefully dodging the stuff I'm not looking for). I really enjoy tight communities a lot more than I enjoy big nations. Least favorite is hard. I don't really despise any place, but places like Haense or Elysium really just don't offer the kind of roleplay I'm generally looking for. And that's fine, power to them and to the people who do enjoy the RP there. I think I am? My inspiration for RP differs a lot between characters. I try to change up both the way I write and my characters as I switch from persona to persona, though I often slip back into old patterns in my writing. I like to grab ideas from what to do with my prose from books I'm reading - And in the rare event I'm making a new character, I tend to stitch together some characters from the stuff I've been reading. With this, I try to focus mostly on types of roleplay I haven't done before but I'd like to try out and try to fit a character to this. And then music is always a good vibe for when I'm playing a character. Honestly hard to say. I've really enjoyed RPing with @Johann's elf. Been good stuff. I thought one word was another word and it turned out to be a bad word (that I won't put on the forums 'cause I'll get shot (if I can even get shot as a tech member)) You're pretty cool B) Maybe when I unshelf him >:)
  12. omg me too 😳 I was very tempted to copy @Gemini's post and respond to everything with the following in some way shape or form, fill in urself: Honestly I enjoy rping with you a lot but doing random stuff around the mages guild a couple months ago while you were playing on Vulmir was a lot of fun, so I'd say Vulmir (Also because I have a shit memory and that's your current most active char :^), but the others have been great fun as well) For you specifically is hard uhhhhhhhhhhh three random shits in the dark, Ocean of Colors (Part 1), I-Human because they're supper underappreciated, and Seelie by CLANN because it's some good eldritch vibes. Honestly as much of a dumpster fire as it was I had a lot of fun in Thania when that was around. Stuff around the mages guild past summer / autumn was also honestly really fun, even though we never really did anything big there. I had some rly good RP back on Atlas (Arcas? I don't remember) with @Ducklingator. But honestly I just enjoy hanging around with people and writing fun narratives - Most of it has been pretty good, unless OOC gets in the way. LotC makes me reach my mental limits almost daily >:). But software is fun, haven't really hit a ceiling there yet regarding what I seem to be able to grasp, so that's good. You think I have to hack into LotC, yet I can do it without hacking. Checkmate. @NotAPanI take back what I said above. My favorite moment on LotC was definitely riddled with OOC and was @Moribunditymaking a certain typo at 2am during a diplomatic meeting with Oren, shit's still got me grinning to this day even though it's months ago My lawyer told me not to comment on you "people"'s comments. See you in court.
  13. im cool No comment I don't have favorites (but you're pretty cool) Only in court. I haven't run a settlement / vassal or anything. I've done some nation politics here and there, but I generally hate it. Maybe somewhere in the future, who knows. I dunno. Don't have as much time nowadays as I used to back in the day. Plus I rarely ever see people around in Norland, so I doubt it matches up with my timezone. Though hit me up at some point and I'll try to swing around on one of my characters 😎 i know ur ip (127.0.0.1)
  14. cringe but okay im not ye to ask if im done with urs yet so she can come sure My lawyer has told me not to comment on anything relating to what happened with those "people". No I didn't Sorry my toxicity just spreads Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson is good if you haven't read it yet. Some others in no particular order: Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson, Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, Broken Earth Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin, Powder Mage by Brian McClellan, and Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson.
  15. Been here for way too long Did some cool stuff, did some stupid shit CT-management (though stepping down soon), tech Ask me anything Also give me rep
  16. ye basically what everyone else has already said. -1's are useful from time to time, +1's really don't do anything. The only real exceptions are getting a lot of comments on your application or getting none at all. And even then management might decide something else. Personally I appreciate a heads up in a manager's DMs more than a public call out on someone's application, but y'know. Case-to-case thing.
  17. "Cycle?" An elf too old for his age asked himself in quiet remembrance. "Does this fit in?" His questions became louder then, the sanity that had been growing in his mind spilling into his words and actions as he lifted his voice and his gaze to the sky, shouting at whatever might be among those stars above. "DO YOU FEAR IT?" The words echoed through that empty place where he stood, far from civilization again, though sometimes he visited. There were no answers in these cries of this madman, not on this day. Though unlikely, perhaps this change would bring the answers.
  18. I'm cancelling you back. This is the end.

  19. Hi Music? Favorite rp moment? Favorite memory in general? Something you'd change about the server if you had the power?
  20. Nah. For once, I agree with Kunuk. This seems a lot like mental magic was back in the day, other than it requiring touch. I personally don't think mental magic has any place on the server, but that's a different topic. The current state of Illusion magic, being as loosely written as it is, already allows the caster to do a lot and does not, in my opinion, require any more spells. In addition to that, just because a spell is written as a combat spell does not mean it should solely be used in combat. I'd honestly say this is shallow view of the possible applications of illusion as a magic in its current state.
  21. A young 'Ame with an extraordinarily long name quietly complains about having to climb his way into the upper district of the city after requesting access to the Eternal Library because none would let him up. "So much so for... Belonging to all of us."
  22. A man who's mind had been slipping cursed, "We were supposed to translocate a building," He complained.
