  1. "We're all stories and songs in the end,"

A fair haired elf uttered as he peered over the pages of the many stories which filled his library. His trail around the room had brought him to the balcony where he overlooked the setting sun, a smile setting on his features as his stark gaze turned up towards the rising moon

"Though not a single note will be forgotten of yours."

Through trials and tribulations, the Concord of Llyria remains as stalwart and steady as it always has. With its roots firmly pressed into the soil below, her branches grow to shelter the errant scholars of the world who seek homage in a place of knowledge and magical well-ness. With so many having fled from our home with the threat of war, we seek to reach out to embrace those who willingly return. It has been deemed so by the Office of the Princess of Compassion, and the Echelon of Oversight, that the denizenship system shall be revisited and wiped clean This system requires that information is provided to the government for documentation purposes, and will act as confirmation of your citizenship in the Concord.

Formed on the 11th of Amber Cold, 1728, The Omeryn Constabulary was drafted and created by the reigning Empyrion, Ithrendas Regis, following the outcry of abuse and corruption within the ranks of the previous and now fallen Traceless Order. Despite their oaths, the Traceless failed in their task to keep the people and the city safe.

For a great while, and by the absence of the reigning throne, the city was a lawless and hostile state open and willing to permit the treacherous and foul. It was upon the return that the Empyrion declared and instituted the Constabulary to ensure that their home was kept free of poison and crime.

It is thus that the Prince of Endurance, and the Prince of Rationality, stand united and in arms to keep the Concord safe and from harm. With Vigilance watching over the Judicial sector, and Endurance maintaining the Constabulary, the Arm of the Law is once more enforced and the city is protected once again. The Omeryn Constabulary is bound and dedicated to ensuring that crime and justice are served, utilising the arts of de-escalation and management to keep people safe and secure. No longer shall a guard of our great home levy arms against its denizens and will stand as benevolent protectors of the people of the Concord.

Had enough of your lies and bluster for one sitting Thomas. You are not the victim here, this isn’t massive.

Remove the sign, or accept the fact Llyria is receiving special protection from the Staff.

    Its that simple.

I’m not going to negotiate with someone who is actively going out of his way to target and call people out based on years old opinion with no proof or reason. If you read a word of what I’ve said, I’ve actively stated that Llyria is not the victim. The majority of the raids, and this war, is deserved, and it is being dealt with in roleplay. For the sake of remaining civil, I’m going to stop responding to you now because I do not believe this conversation to be productive whatsoever.

Look man, I did experience the whole Ves thing, and I’m not even sure I agree.

    Llyria’s “treatment” has been

    • getting a war stalled over baseless accusations of metagaming,
    • getting raid cooldowns re-implemented on the server despite a promise from telanir that they wouldn’t come back,
    • getting GMs to place a cooldown on all “banditry” happening in the city.

It’s gone from the point where we’re simply helping your playerbase out to where the server rules are being bent exclusively for the benefit of Llyria. All of this has implications for the server beyond whether your playerbase is having “enjoyable” conflict roleplay that doesn’t happen “every two seconds.” The rest of the server has to live with these rules. And you’re making things worse for us, by not stepping in and telling your players to actually spare the effort to defend themselves.

I will speak with the Staff and my player-base and see what’s happening. While I disagree quite fervently with some of your points, I 100% see where you’re coming from and I do not believe that any select player-base should have any form of special treatment. If it’s a rule for one, it should be a rule for all.

You (and by that I mean emmalinea and others) built two large expansions to the city. Throwing up a palisade is out of your depth? You don’t have a build server, where’d those come from?

Look, I think a lot of the conflict roleplay surrounding is probably very unfair, and it leaves your playerbase without a lot of time to roleplay. But you have to at least put some effort in. Right now you have no effective guardforce, no walls, both of these things could get fixed in a day if you delegated the task to someone capable. I don’t personally buy that you’re all that invested in your playerbase when you basically leave it to the GMs to protect them from what is essentially acceptable conflict roleplay for everyone else.

Then build a wall like every other nation, it shouldn’t take very long. I’d like to know which gm placed that sign there to begin with

Within the last two weeks I have been moving and have not had a build server. The expansions they had were from a leftover litematica file. We didn’t build a wall to begin with because we’re still expanding. A few weeks ago we were still a charter and expanding into our region, we had plans to make walls once the construction was finished. This war has expedited that necessity, and it is being worked on. As for what GM it was, I don’t know you’d need to ask them.

We are putting effort in, I can assure you of that. I’ve been indisposed, and now that I’m back we’re working on walls, a gatehouse, a fort by the city, a working and functional guard force. The whole point of that is to stop GMs having to get involved. I do not disagree that Llyria should be raided, 100% it should. It’s made enemies, and is at war. But there’s a huge difference between actual conflict and creating RP that is enjoyable for those involved, and screaming every two seconds. I cannot build a wall in one day, we are working on it.

Its pretty hard to do that when you have the staff making up new rules for you to protect you. Perhaps you will have a rule that 50% of the skirmishers on our side have to hop on one foot instead of actually play? Maybe they have to use wooden swords?

You speak about enjoyable conflict yet you’ve made this one of the worst OOC filled wars I’ve ever seen, stalling, wailing to staff and unwritten rules. It brought me out of hiatus to come bonk you proper for your shenanigans. Ridiculous.

We did not make this an OOC war, or about stalling. We dealt with, and agreed to terms almost immediately. Staff do not make up rules for us. That’s a ridiculous notion. No one is wanting special protection. Rules are invented to protect players as a whole, not individual player groups. We are all looking forward to the Skirmish, all of us. Why do you need to make this such a fight on a personal level?

The War was halted, in the beginning stages, because there were legitimate claims of metagaming surrounding the whole situation. Once everything had been cleared up, it kept going. What could we possibly be stalling for? What benefit does stalling give us? I have been proactive in accepting and working out decent and fair terms in the War Chat, and making sure that my players remain as courteous as possible throughout this so that this doesn’t devolve into an OOC mess. The Leaders of the respective nations in this war have all been great about this, every single one of them has cooperated and actually stuck to RP, I don’t understand why you can’t do the same.

also (and I feel like I’m really ragging on this thread) this is just a joke

ask literally anyone who lived in Ves if we got ever a “bandit cooldown” despite weeks of nonstop raiding

I don’t know what happened with the whole Ves thing. If you guys were being non-stop raided, literally back to back at all hours of the day, 100% you should have gotten the same treatment as Llyria right now. That’s, unfortunately, down to the Moderation Team. I don’t know much about that.

  7. Just now, Archbishop said:

Might you be messaging a gm to remove this sign then, as you don’t want special treatment.

As I said. There is a difference between being outright against an idea, and understanding the reasoning for it. I don’t care for it, personally, but my people do. I will not subject over one hundred players to back-to-back raids every 2 seconds with little to no RP substance simply because I personally do not like the rule.

If any other nation was raided as much as Llyria was in such a short timeframe, they’d be given the same treatment.
