  1. [!] A pamphlet is plastered upon the walls of certain institutions of public and commercial correspondences. Others would be spread through couriers and birds to the Aevosian public. “And there was peace and holiness, for the priests had returned from long persecution and spoke the Word of GOD in temples and courts.” Gospel 6:48 PRINTED BY THE IMPERIAL SOCIETY OF EXALTED HOREN 5th of Horen’s Calling, 1970 Dear Reader, As the current carriage of our circumstances travels upon the fickle road of humanity’s future, the multiple divergent paths before us compels me to ask myself and my fellow faithful flock of GOD’s children about our intuitions of an ideal future. I believe we are at the crossroads once again. However, many of us have never been on these crossroads before. This uncertainty and anxiety can brew into a noxious chemical of fear and impulsive reactions to any word that contains the word “human unity.” Nevertheless, such fear is understandable and justly rationalized given the unfamiliarity or less intimate familiarity of our common past. Although records exist of humanity’s past accomplishments since the time of Exalted Horen, the records also contain our failures. We can speak of unity as much as we wish, but without acknowledging the past mistakes and failures of our collective identity and taking it in consideration with our past successes, I fear that a proper consensus of our shared future can never be reached. We must address this lack of communication with the common individual and, rather, converse with them and invite them to share their thoughts on the future of mankind. The Nenzing Proclamation provided a groundwork for the basic ideals which we have attempted to uphold since the progenesis of our civilization: life, liberty, and due process. Proclamation of Nenzing, Joseph I, et. al. (1715). Such a proclamation, seen as groundbreaking at that time, can also be argued as a codification of a bundle of rights already existing within the intricate natural rights of humankind ordained to us through the Scrolls of Virtue and Gospel. This bundle of rights can be seen as a sacred interest in fee simple which should be protected through any means necessary. The question becomes, were such rights properly protected in the most recent iteration of the Holy Orenian Empire? The verdict remains divided. Although it is true that prominent efforts were taken to protect the Rights of Man, the results and consequences of these efforts remain a controversial enigma as of now, especially towards the recent Eighth Holy Orenian Empire. Ser Simon Basrid’s statement famously titled The Tapestry of Man argues that the Novellen Empire did indeed protect and further Joseph Marna’s vision and further enhanced it to create a unified culture, a tapestry of sorts where each thread of mankind’s actions weaved the fabrics of the tapestry of man. The Tapestry of Man, Simon I Basrid (1749). But the chief opposing view tends to criticize the heavily bureaucratic system of the Eighth Empire which some believe was disastrous to faster human progress Dare to Question Aevosian Unification & Imperialism, Erik I Colborn (1967). However, many scholars also articulate a neutral point of view on the Eighth Empire: its earlier bureaucratic institutions provided for a more collected and united human civilization that championed the three principle ideas of life, liberty, and due process; but the further unnecessary expansion of the bureaucracy led to the empire’s stagnation and downfall. The Decline and Fall of the Holy Orenian Empire Volume XII - Epilogue, Justinian Nafis & Adolphis Gloriana (1911). The latter work provides a neutral, albeit less detailed analysis of the recent empire. If the monumental project of human unity is to be undertaken, it is in the best interest of mankind to follow a collective consensus to further human progress. The protection of the Rights of Man should be given priority. The protection of the Canon Faith and The Holy Mother Church should also be given its utmost priority. I am of the belief that for the betterment of humanity, unity is necessary. However, we need not take complete inspiration from the Eighth Empire. Perhaps we do not need to form an empire to achieve unity but rather a union or commonwealth is sufficient, but such a radical idea requires strong foundations and further debate. Nevertheless, it is better to look to and beyond the Eighth Empire, and utilize the successful systems of its predecessors such as the Fourth, Fifth or Sixth Empires, to create a more universal system of human reunification. Notwithstanding the current climate and regardless of my own beliefs I would like to listen to my fellow aevosians on your view of the current climate of mankind. I ask you, dear reader, to answer three questions: What does it mean to be human? What rights should be protected for the faithful flock of mankind? And lastly, if you dare to dream, how should we achieve unity and camaraderie amongst our fellow human brethren? It is justifiable to oppose an empire, for the arguments against one are well founded. However, if we are to achieve unity, a proper system and framework is required to further the virtue of mankind. We need not become unnecessarily centralized. However, fragmentation is not a solution. Thus, a middle ground is imperative. To achieve such, let us look into our past and utilize the tools mankind has gathered through its colorful history to further our future, and create a universal system that may perhaps respect the rights of mankind and cultural autonomy in synergetic resonance. In Your Humble Presence, Ivan var Ruthern of the County of Marsana, Member of the Society of Exalted Horen References: Joseph I, et. al., Proclamation of Nenzing (1715) Simon I Basrid, The Tapestry of Man (1749) Erik I Colborn, Dare to Question Aevosian Unification & Imperialism (1967) Justinian Nafis & Adolphis Gloriana, The Decline and Fall of the Holy Orenian Empire Volume XII - Epilogue (1911)
  2. Upon reading the public missive of Albarosa's first council, the teenage Ivan var Ruthern pondered for a moment. A small smile would soon form upon his lips as he marked the date upon the calendar. "Maybe this would be a good learning experience for me! Coz Jan always said to find opportunities to seek more knowledge of our faith." The young Ruthern would then make his way downstairs to inform his father upon his intention to travel to the Apostolic City in the coming Saint's Days. Perhaps his father would like to accompany him?
  3. The youngest of Liridona's sons, half Amador and half Colborn glanced upon the bridge towards Valdev. A small smile formed upon his lips, for he had spent too long in the wilderness of the northern mountains akin to his father. "Ea missed mea home." Benedict murmured, "Ea hope Elena is alright." He quickened his pace now, slinging his satchel behind his shoulder as his quickened walk now turned into a run and then a jog. There were so many faces he would have to greet. But first, he wished to see his beloved mother, the woman who raised him. "Mamej! Eam home!" If only he knew what news would await him...
  4. A young Ivan var Ruthern reads his father’s written manifesto whilst in Marsana. The teenage Ruthern ponders for a moment. “Papej is right. We should be more united. But…do we need an emperor? Or…we can try something new.” Nevertheless, the male agreed with his father. “What can I do to help?”
  5. I really hope to see you soon bestie! <3 You are and always will be the most wholesome person here, your characters are always fun to rp with. Let's continue to hang out and vc on discord though!
  6. Cesar II De Pelear, The once former Viceroy of Hyspia, upon reading the document from in between his travels in Aaun, The Holy See, Reinmar, and Balian, wonders why certain things were left out. Nevertheless he let out a sigh as he sat upon the grassy field of the lowlands, looking onwards to the skies, taking the time to just travel. “I really do wish they did not hide everything.…Arman said hurtful words…So did Ramona…Not just calling my last wishes to be disrespectful. Ramona did not offer me a position in the council. Jose was there with his hand to the hilt of his blade, sounding quite cold. I wish they just told the truth….I wish I was not blamed for Vicente’s death…I did not order Vicente to do anything. He was just loyal to a fault and angered.” A sigh escaped the aging man’s lips. “It is what it is. I suppose. I just wish things ended on a better note. Not one through threats, manipulation, and emotional duress.” He shook his head as he then got up with an aching breath, continuing to slowly walk down the grassy land. “Soon Karyna…I shall meet you in the Seven Skies…for now, I shall travel…one day I shall find serenity. Through all the hurt I feel in my heart…perhaps It’s better to leave it behind.
  7. Valkskej i Paraiso THE PARAISO AGREEMENT AGREED ON THIS 16TH OF MSITZA & DARGUND, 518 E.S. | 16TH OF AMBER COLD, 169 SA by KING ALEKSANDR II of HAENSE and VICEROY CESAR II of HYSPIA LET IT BE KNOWN, For their dedicated history and alliance, the Kongzem of Haense and the Viceroyalty of Hyspia have for decades come to each other's assistance. 8. The Viceroy of Hyspia, upon hearing the news of the Pontiff's sudden passing, signed the Lorraine with a sigh. "A man who meant well. A man who did his best to guide our faithful flock. Regardless of what could have and what would have, he did his best. He shall be remembered. May he rest in the seven skies." He lowered his head then, "But the dark shadows that ended his life shall not be given mercy."
  9. Cesar II willingly and readily took up the task and willingness to sign this document. He has become older, his age was nearing the end of his middle aged years. There were many things which he wished to do but was unable to in order to keep up his image as a Canonist Prince. Nevertheless, his allies’ words and support gave him the newfound strength to do so. Cesar’s love will always be for Karyna. But he knew Hyspia could be something more, something more inclusive. It is something his Padre would have wanted. It is something his children would have wanted. Thus, he was content with signing this. Henceforth, Hyspia shall recognize all love amongst humans.
  10. Upon taking notice of the missive, the Viceroy of Hyspia prepared his horse for a travel to his neighbor's abode, "As I have promised Abdur, we shall offer our assistance in finding this criminal."
  11. Thank you for your events Petsch! Thank you for being an AWESOME ST! You were always fun to talk to in vc as well. I really do wish you the best in life! <3
  12. Thank you Hamzar! This is awesome!
  13. [!] A red-tailed hawk, carrying a sealed envelope would land by the Kwee'Hayastaani camp. Upon receipt of the envelope, its contents within would read: "To the honorable Senor Maȟpíya @Ibn Khaldun, Thank you for your well wishes and words of congratulations. I pray you are doing well. Although we have met only once, our meeting has left a good impression upon my mind. I hope one day us Farfolk can reside amongst each other in harmony. Just as you pray for our people's continued prosperity, I shall pray for yours. Our people want nothing more than peace, comradery, and cooperation amongst the people of the mesa and desert. May DIOs continue to bless you and your tribe's continued success, safekeeping and prosperity for years to come. Warmest Regards, Cesar II."
  14. “Peace. Let there be peace. Let there be tranquility. May humanity find solace once again.” Cesar II signed the document with a nod, content that his people shall now be able to live in comfort once again.
  15. CLARIFYING THE MISUNDERSTANDINGS An Official Response from the Hyspian Crown Issued by the Viceroyal Crown 14th of Horen’s Calling, 87 D.R. LET IT BE KNOWN, The Viceroyalty of Hyspia does not approve nor endorse the actions of Alexander Llopis and the Hyspian medic. Both missives are not official documents from the government. Neither Alexander Llopis nor the Hyspian physician are members of the Viceroy’s Council. Neither of them approached the government regarding these matters. Posting bounties without the approval of the Hyspian Crown is against the law. Taking official action without consultation and consent from the Monarch and the Consejo, is henceforth a CRIME. Thus, Alexander Llopis, charged on two accounts, and by the order of His Highness, Cesar II, shall be: I. Suspended from all active service duties in the Orden de Francisco for four Saint’s Weeks. After suspension he may re-enlist into the Order at the discretion of the Colonel. However, he shall be required to participate in the defense of Hyspia when called upon, as a citizen militia during this time. II. Required to pay a two hundred mina fine for his actions. This fine is due within three Saint’s days. Failure to pay will result in imprisonment for five Saint’s Weeks. III. Required to rescind all bounties on the capture of Paladins and the Knights of Xan. Furthermore, the Hyspian physician who published such a scathing missive accusing the Paladins of theft, shall be censured. The Paladins have been granted access in Hyspia at the approval of the Viceroyal Crown. They had offered their assistance in investigating the recent Darkspawn attacks that had befallen Hyspian citizens. The Order of the Saint Jude of Holy Mother Church is also providing assistance in investigating the Darkspawn. The Viceroyalty of Hyspia DOES NOT endorse the persecution of Paladins. No charges, nor accusations are brought against them on behalf of Hyspia. The Knights of Xan are still permitted to enter within the territories of Hyspia to assist us against the darkspawn threat. Signed, HIS HIGHNESS, Cesar II de Pelear, Viceroy of Hyspia, Duke of Pacazu, Baron of Arenisca and Del’mar, Lord of Ladorada, Lord of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Gran Maestre of El Orden de Francisco, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, Patriarch of House de Pelear
  16. "Alexander." The Viceroy muttered with an irritated frown. Cesar II would then set out to contact and order his Colonel, Pedro Fuentes @Salviusto find both Alexander and the random citizen who made the missive from earlier. "None of this shit on hunting or accusing Paladins was endorsed by me or the government." He said to Pedro whilst he then continued, "I need you to deal with this. Also, find me Sergei!" In the meantime, the Viceroy went back to his office to pen a letter to Urguan and the Paladins.
  17. Cesar II of Hyspia blinks in confusion as he reads this missive, "Que? Who wrote this? And why?" An exhasparated sigh soon escaped the Viceroy's lips. "I get they are angry about herbs. But why are they pointing fingers to Paladins?"
  18. “If he wants peace. He may face us himself. Until then, we march.” The Viceroy, now a grandfather to three grandchildren, closed his eyes for a moment whilst he rested with the Hyspian retinue at Hokhmat. “They kidnap my daughter, they attack us amidst the Tuvmas season. Yet, they ask for peace. There are crimes which must be answered for.” He then made his way towards his fellow Hyspian soldiers, preparing to speak to them of the upcoming march to the hinterlands.
  19. "So I assume Hyspia isn't owed an apology for the raid during the Baile de Navidad in the Tuvmas season. I recall seeing quite many notable Veletzers there with their allies." Commented the Viceroy. It is conceded, the missive does read that such acts during war are justified. Yet, as a devout Canonist, Cesar II thought the act during such a holy season to be more of a betrayal of faith. Perhaps...if they had sent diplomats in the place of armed militants thirsting for the blood of Hyspians, things would have been different.
  20. MARCHING ORDERS: OPERATION TALIONIS IUDICIUM ACCEDIT Issued by the THE GRAND COVENANT on this 6th of The Sun’s Smile, 1954 https://youtu.be/Sk-U8ruIQyA?si=GO-0bonxbnw3OUOy MISSION TITLE: OPERATION TALIONIS OBJECTIVE: ANNEXATION OF THE NORTHERN HINTERLANDS MOBILIZATION DATE: 15TH OF OWYN’S FLAME COMMENCEMENT DATE: 18TH OF TOBIAS’ BOUNTY PARTICULARS: After the success of OPERATION SOLSTICE, all COVENANT forces are to march NORTH towards the HINTERLANDS on the 18TH of OWYN’S FLAME. COVENANT forces shall then meet at the tip of the NORTHERN HINTERLANDS within VELETZ. OPERATION TALIONIS requires the capture and neutralization of the HINTERLANDS. Expect heavy resistance from VELETZ and IRON HORDE forces. KING ALEKSANDR shall assume command of the main COVENANT detachment (taskforce “MITHRIL”), composed of the forces of HAENSE, AAUN, NUMENDIL, HYSPIA, and NORLAND and shall act as the vanguard of the COVENANT assault. PERCY DE LYONS will command a reserve with forces from URGUAN, BALIAN, and PETRA (taskforce “PALISADE”) to reinforce task force MITHRIL. CAPTAIN BANJO and GRAND KING SIGRUN ‘UNDEADSLAYER’ STONEHAMMER shall assume command of the GRYPHON BANNER (taskforce “GRYPHON”). They will fend off any attempted sallies from VELETZIAN forces. END OF BRIEF. AN EYE FOR AN EYE. AN ARM FOR AN ARM. Penned by Cesar II [!]The fresh ink of the parchment attached to the military brief begins to dry. We do not forget. We do not forgive. If your wish is to bend and break the Farfolk under your whims, then their storms of destruction shall befall you. If your wish is to make the Heartlands bleed, then their stones of retribution shall open your walls. If your wish is to see the Balianese suffer, then their tides of ruin shall sweep through your castles. If your wish is to subvert the Haeseni lands, then their blades of vengeance shall fall upon you. If your wish is to subjugate the Norlanders, then their eternal fire shall engulf you. If your wish is to conquer the Dwarves, then the hammers of their grudge shall end your ambitions. You claim peace, yet you attack our homes. You claim diplomacy, yet you bring an armed retinue who openly lust for bloodshed. Your words do not match your actions. You call us snakes, yet the cobra’s eyes twinkle beneath your masks. Your words reek of hypocrisy. A stench so foul, that the entire world of Aevos can smell it from beyond your borders. Your intentions are clear in your actions. As a wolf disguised in sheep’s clothing you attempt to threaten us into submission. You have no care for the wellbeing of others. We have attempted diplomacy before the war, yet it was met with a threat. Rather, you would lay in bed with the Orcish Horde who crave to see humanity suffer or submit to their imperial rule. You have danced to the tunes of conquest more than we have. If that is your wish, then so be it. You may hide in your straw castle, but the Covenant shall blow it down. For your crimes against humanity, for your lust for conquest, for your desire to sow chaos, you shall be punished. Heed my words Gaspard. Follow my warning Grommash. Judgment is coming. END OF TRANSMISSION WARCLAIM Wargoal: COMPLETE ANNEXATION [Attacking tile 38 from tile 43] Attackers: The Kingdom of Haense, the Kingdom of Balian, the Commonwealth of Petra, the Viceroyalty of Hyspia, the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, the Kingdom of Norland, the United Kingdom of Aaun and the Kingdom of Numendil DEFENDERS: The League of Veletz and its Allies LOCATION/WARPATH: DATE: SATURDAY, January 27th, 2:30 PM EST
  21. The Viceroy of Hyspia was honored to have the Qalasheen live amongst his people. “May they prosper beside us.” He mused with an approving nod.
  22. "War." Cesar II muttered, his narrowed gaze falling upon the wounded orc before him. "It is a necessity for survival." With a harrowing thrust, the Hyspian Rey pushed his longsword down upon the orcish warrior's chest. "I will do anything to see our people thrive. If Gaspard and Grommash wish to see us fall, if they wish to threaten us to kneel before them. They may do so in their unfulfilled dreams." He held the longsword now with his mechanical hand, a reminder of the struggles his people now face against the Orcish threat. He used his other gauntleted arm to clean the blood of the orc he had slaughtered before making his way back to his Viscount's side. @Nymstra The Viceroy was now in his middle aged years. He had longed for a peaceful reign, a peaceful era for his people. But he knew what had to be done. The Hyspian state will survive, only once their threats were all abolished. This was their peace.
  23. Cesar II couldn't believe it! He was a grandfather now! Oh how adorable did the little one look. "The future of Hyspia couldn't be ever the more brighter." He murmured as he held her in his arms when his daughter offered the young Santana to him.
  24. The Viceroy of Hyspia, a fellow Nation Leader, kneels before the altar as he prays for Celianor to finally get a mine. “Please DIOS. Give our elven friends a mine.”
  25. Cesar II enjoys reading the Kactuz Weekli, for it is quite an informative newspaper. However, the Viceroy scratches his head at the recent developments regarding this other new Qalasheen tribe. He searches through the library within the palace, finding the treaty which he made with the Qalasheen not too long ago. He read through its contents as he then murmured, “Perhaps I should send them a letter. We did offer the good Qalasheen their own land, government and autonomous community, for we respected their interest in settling the desert. We even offered to purchase land for them as well. After all, their religion is something which I deeply respect and can relate to through my own Canonist faith.” The Viceroy would then pen a neatly written letter, sending it to Sultan Mehmed afterwards along with the copy of the pact, hopeful for some diplomacy with the good Qalasheen folk who themselves had helped Hyspia many times.
