  1. Barbara Morovar, seated in the square of Karosgrad, seemed curious as to the sudden flurry of hushed whispers, gasps, and giggles elicited by some unseen document being passed between a gaggle of court ladies. Keen to remain on top of the latest topics of note, the lady bid a few moments to observe the collection of parchment pages for herself. After a few minutes, the publication was passed back to it's original owner with nothing more than an indifferent, if not disappointed, shrug. Turning upon a heel, the Morovar moved to return to her seat as a quiet remark on the matter was uttered. "How...Orenian, of her."
  2. Barbara Morovar observes the publication with keen interest, seeing it as a guide to the current figures of note within Karosgrad and the broader dual-kingdom. An intentionally judgmental glance is cast towards her elder brother Leopold, accompanied by a click of her tongue. "Papej ought to be much displeased with us...this advisory council is lacking in Morovars," She'd state, almost in challenge. The Baron's only daughter pondered upon that fact as she retired for the evening within the walls of Ghaestenwald.
  3. Not sure why this guy's issues are being blown off instead of being looked into. Maybe a few conversations would help him out, rather than people just making fun of him for feeling like he isn't welcome? I've seen Lion and Chenn already offer to speak with him. And also, there are PLENTY of 'terrible people' still around in that community. But birds of a feather flock together and tend not to rat eachother out.
  4. Standing at the foot of the smoldering cathedral, the mali'ker Andromeda Vandi'ir stood in silent contemplation. Though she had missed the initial calamity, the elfess had been present for the succeeding spectacle that garnered the attention of what many had thought to be an aengul, sent from the valah-Creator himself. She had her doubts of the being's true intentions, a thumb rubbing over the bronze medallion that hung about her neck.

  8. The young Adeliza-Gisèle Warlai marvels at the affirmation of peace, having been allowed the opportunity to witness Savoy's own terms being laid out and decided upon just a saint's day previous. "I hope I can be so important like you someday, Princess!" She'd smile then, in awe of her guardian's statesmanship. Unbeknownst to the girl, her connection to the entire conflict was far greater than she might ever know or comprehend. The universe had blessed her with such ignorance.
  9. Adeliza-Gisèle Warlai sat at her guardian's side, taking care not to prick her delicate fingers as Renata instructed her in needlework. The little orphan seemed to brim with excitement at the idea of attending her first wedding as the invitation was read, hoping the Princess of Savoy might bring her along.

  12. Charlotte lit a candle at her family's altar to Saint Judith, to aid in the guidance of the Pontiff's soul to the Seven Skies. Afterwards, a glance was cast to her daughters. "We shall see if his successor is as firmly-staunch in his convictions."
  13. Charlotte's eyes fell closed, taking in the news of yet another needless casualty amidst all of this conflict. The Presbyter had attended to her family at the memorial of Philip Aurelian, consecrating his burial ground and speaking against the excommunicated who had dared to step foot there. Now...she was dead. "I only spoke with her a mere two saint's days ago...she swore that she would continue her work in Providence, no matter the danger," She'd relay to Josephine, "This is how they repaid her." The imperial drew in a breath, "If the person who committed this claims to be of GOD's flock...they follow no GOD that I've ever met." And so, the Pretender-Empress began to author a public statement on the loss of the faithful and loyal Presbyter, who died hoping to free a nation from temporal tyranny.
  14. "The heir to Othaman, you say?" She queried to her daughter, Josephine, as she aided the Pretender-Empress with sorting through the various missives and letters crossing her desk, "The blood of Mary Carrington, you mean to say," She'd correct her then, that final statement carrying more meaning than she relayed openly. "A child, made to speak on behalf of those who have sworn off GOD in favor of, as the Presbyter said, temporal power. I will pray for him, and for those other children that will likely be made to author such letters. Especially when he must contend with the taint of murder upon his lineage atop everything else." To the imperial, it seemed murder had become a minor blemish upon a person's character in her stepson's empire. It would not be in hers.
  15. "May he haunt you no longer, my darling Moliana," Charlotte spoke as the revelations were revealed to the world. The aged Imperial was glad that her children and grandchildren might now have support, in their attempts to be rid of this shadow-dwelling menace that had seemed intent upon tormenting them.
  16. Charlotte let free a small sigh of relief, secretly glad her daughter had left that accursed legacy behind.
  17. Charlotte has an archived missive dispatched to the Baroness St. Lothar, following her reading of this reply to a missive unrelated to her. Though it saddened her to think so many truly believed she had been caught abed with the Grand King, it worried her more at the perverse nature of the Orenian leadership's active imagination. Did they imagine her often, lying with multiple suitors? She was twice-widowed, and a mother. A meeting on potential peace seemed to have spiraled into nothing but some great misogynistic fantasy...that now even her fellow women seemed to perpetuate. Did they so swiftly forget all the good deeds she had done, once her husband's life had been taken? She dwelled upon these eerie facts, concerned for her homeland now more than ever.
  18. The Dowager-Duchess of Adria, in the midst of this news being delivered to her, finalized her writings with a crimson-wax seal. "For Philip...and all those whose lives have been wasted upon this sinful pair."
  19. Julia of Furnestock continues to flip McBrae Burgers for the famished defenders of Du Loc as the conflict intensified, hoping another home wasn't taken from her again.
  20. Charlotte Augusta, from her newfound dwelling, received the news of her childhood friend's demise in stony silence. A flurry of memories flooded her mind, of innocent days spent at the estate of Sunholdt and within the confines of the Augustine. Of their debut together and the many words of confidence that had passed between them. "Someday soon, my dear Maisie...I will get us our Oren back. I hope you'll be watching over us, to see that day to fruition." She spoke solemnly to herself, brooding over yet another death that would leave a long-term scar on her heart and soul.
