Father Ernst inspected the paper with a frown, "I pray these men are not who they say they are, lest they fail in the very essence of their duty." he commented to no one in particular. "Receiving their authority from His Imperial Majesty, they too share in his vows to God; to rule by Canonist creed. Forsaking their people on the basis of economic status is an affront to the moral teachings of the Canon." Ernst stepped off towards the Cathedral thereafter, saying, "May they be men of deceit and liars destined to be caught quickly."

AN ACOLYTE’S THESIS
PROGRESS AND THE CHURCH
On the Matter of the Church and the Modern World,
and Her Place Among the Flow of Progress.Written and Published by Brother Ernst,
Submitted to the Cardinal Providentia.10th of Owyn's Light, 1829
“He entrusted to them the Word of GOD, which were the Virtue and the Spirit,
and charged them to instruct their brethren in the path of holiness.” (Gospel 5:4)Those millennium ago did the first spiritual son of Exalted Horen, Prophet Owyn, bestow unto the twins, Saints Evaristus and Clement the Laurel, and entrusted with them the revealed Scripture, the undeniable and infallible wisdom of God, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It is this Holy Truth which has been passed down throughout the ages along a line of similarly anointed men, sharing a mission that has remained a constant since those days of yore and which is detailed most clearly in the Holy Scrolls; to instruct their brethren in that path of holiness, a path ordained a righteous one and so very necessary by the Divine.
These Vicars of the Almighty God, the High Pontiffs, have guided generation after generation throughout the ages and have and continue to succeed in this most holy objective. As truth this is known for the Church’s reach stretches far and wide, from the Holy Orenian Empire to the great Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, and to the honorable Sutica and Luciensburg, and to many other nations and states. So with the Church has gone the reach of God, yet the Church’s teachings, those derived from the Lord God, nevertheless wane.
Whilst still held close to men’s hearts, as modernity has been ushered forth with it’s great progress in toe, at times the Word of God has been overshadowed by that of culture. With years of progress come new ideals and while greater and fairer rights, representative government, and many other innovations can be lauded far and wide as remarkable achievements of men, there are too developing ideals contrary to that which the Church holds true. Certainly a God who praises the labors of men in the Scroll of Virtue (Virtue 4:6) too commends His faithful for the advancements alike to those formerly mentioned, yet beyond doubt is there (so called) progress which He too will admonish.
The faithful nations of which the Church encompasses remain great pillars of Canonism, yet they nevertheless stumble at times in this age of progress; they labor in virtue but too grow lax in sin, accepting notions born not of God and Faith but of man and culture, views contrary to God’s will and in conflict with the Church’s principles. Yet, I speak not of this directly for surely it has been written of in length by those of higher station and knowledge then mine own. I speak not of this creeping “Age of Culture” but of the Church’s place in it. As a ship out to sea, this most holy institution faces harsh waves which threaten to turn it off course, the calls of some laymen for the Church to progress alongside the world and to not remain “behind it”.
Yet, to this I firmly say no, for it is not the Church’s place to walk alongside the world. While certainly the Church must allow for some change within, as great reformers like Their Holinesses, Blessed Siegmund I, Blessed Daniel VI, and Saint James II have made clear, the Church nevertheless possesses or rather, has received that which cannot be changed (and other things which can but should not be or are not so easily altered). While the great reformers have adapted matters like Priestly celibacy, the codified Canon Law, and other doctrines to the modern day, I remind the reader of what the High Priests Evaristus and Clement received; the infallible, unchangeable, one and single truth of God.
We are not a government of the modern day but a holy institution which derives all things from one, the Lord God, who has, in blessing us with the Holy Scrolls, set clear limitations for the Church in its service to Him. While we may interpret, we cannot fabricate, for it is the Lord God who is without peer (Virtue 1:3) and it is the Church who is not God but of God. Doctrines may change at times (although rarely), yet it is God who does not change and therefore, nor does His Word. It is we who must instead preserve that which we have been given and act as guides on His path, the virtuous path which all the righteous must follow (Virtue 1:9).
It was Exalted Owyn who admonished the Jorenites in the Scroll of Spirit, “So to you sons of Joren I admonish: There is no innovation in faith. For GOD is as he was and shall be, and the holiness of Horen is the holiness of all men, forever.” (Spirit 2:17-18) It is these words written by the man who did bestow the first High Priests the Laurel that are words the Church must hold true to for as said prior, it is not the Church’s place to progress alongside the world. Verily, there is no innovation in faith and serving in the example of Exalted Owyn, we must admonish the world when it’s progress comes in conflict with the Church’s teachings.
The Church is not merely an institution among others but God’s institution and therefore pertains to much more than this world. As the descendants may walk astray from what God deems right, it is the Church which acts as the tether to all that is holy and therefore cannot walk with the faithful but must lead them. While we may make alterations to the institution where necessary, it is forever more the Word of God which remains to be the basis of the Church and if the Church is to ever to part from that for the sake of earthly progress contradictory to those interpretations which we have held as ultimate, holy truths for centuries, surely are we not true to the Church’s mission.
So, to those who are tempted to call on the Church to join the world in progress or those who mean to sway the Church to the culture of modern day, certainly this is wrong for verily this is not the place of the Church. We are shepherds after all and it is not the shepherd who follows the sheep but the sheep who follow the shepherd.
Forever Faithful,
Ernst

Jude II's gaze grew affixed downcast from the blessed surface of those heavens, the Seven Skies, the now two-armed Pontiff's visage, void of scars, characterized by a warm smile as he looked with most joy at his successor's work. With jubilant tone, he did utter unto fellow successors of the Saint High Priests, "Sutica, a Canonist nation. Truly must words of elation spill forth from the mouths of those denizens of the Canonist strongholds few among the cities of the Trade Nation. A prospect once unbelievable now fulfilled." The predecessor of Tylus Primus near chuckled with glee as his two hands joined in faint applause at the work of the High Pontiff and the Canonist Princes, Their Majesties John and Henry.
"May the blessings of the Lord God grace from these Skies the lives and souls of Humanity, foremost my dear friend, Tylos, and may He guide in His wisdom the faithful Georg and Johanna as they restore to Sutica the one true faith." he nodded. "Lo! I can feel the Sun's Smile radiating from that most holy sanctum of the Skies, Seventh among them. God does indeed approve of this action derived from the great missionaries of bygone eras." he mused, "Truly was it I who believed the most pious efforts of the dear Eminence, Pelagius, would be all of it, that way of missions. How wrong I was, mm." Jude affirmed his approval once more with a dip of his head before he, with heavenly pace, trekked to that tower reminiscent of the humble abode of his which laid in the confines of the Basilica of the Final Revelation. He moved to his desk to author another of his Theses, for truly that Blessed Hieromonk was right in comment of the shepherd, "...his work does not end as he enters into the Gates."

“THE LAST CONFESSION”
And so, it was to be his last.
“I'm sorry.” came the whisper from behind that screen, to which the Pontiff’s brows furrowed. Confusion he had for that abrupt reply, yet it was to be confusion no longer. A sharp pain pierced through his shoulder; a blade. Jude II screamed and lurched from his chair as the assailant moved too from the booth and towards the man waiting outside of its hallowed confines. The sunken eyes of that once young Cardinal witnessed that same blade pierce through the other confessor’s stomach and so, the Pontiff pleaded, “Sir! Please, do not do this!” And yet, as that fellow man collapsed, his assailant turned with quick heel and plunged the blade into the Pontiff’s own gut. There, Jude too collapsed and as he looked up at the man--that man who feigned confession--with a bloodied mouth he did sputter, “May God- God forgive you.” With his one and only hand, he attempted to sign the cross but in vain as his arm fell limp, Jude simply opting to clutch at the carpet which laid underneath his decrepit form. As the assassin did raise his blade in fatal movement, things seemed to slow down for Jude, once the humble Manfried, the farmer, the Vicar, the Metropolitan, the Cardinal. From those days he spent with father and brother in the wheat fields outside Helena, to those endearing moments with mother, he did remember. To those days with Griffith of Gwynon, his spiritual brother, or those days in the Priesthood; he remembered all.
Yet, it seemed he would have much reflecting to do in the Seven Skies on all those he knew as friends--as family--for that blow came swiftly. Into his forehead the blade pierced and almost immediately did the sunken eyes of Jude--of Manfried--glaze over and grow lifeless. There, all pain washed away. He would have no recollection of the assault upon his assailants after his death, nor those kind words said before his body. As he laid bare his head of Golden Laurel at that great gate to the Heavens, all he knew was God--all he knew was peace…

A PONTIFICAL LETTER
Maxime Anni Sancti MartyrumIn Affirmation of the Holy Year of 1820
In Celebration of the Martyrs of Our FaithSOLEMNLY PROMULGATED
BY HIS HOLINESS
HIGH PONTIFF IUDAES SECUNDUS
11th of Horen's Calling, 1820Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.
We address you, Our flock, in joyous celebration of those Saints, Blessed, and Venerable men and women recognized as martyrs among the histories of the Mother Church. As declared months ago in the sixth Bull of Our Pontificate, Sextus Aurea Bulla Providentia, the year of 1820 has been declared a Jubilee Year, a time of solemn practice of the tenets of our faith, of penance, and of pilgrimage stretching far and wide throughout those nations of which the Church encompasses.
It is this Jubilee Year, dedicated to those who have sacrificed life and limb for all that is Holy, foremost being God Himself, that is perhaps of most import among times of similar observance. It is the sacrifice of a martyr which is a very embodiment of faith; trust in God and absolute zeal in their commitment to the one truth, that Scripture of which He did bestow unto us through His Prophets. Whether in times of war as now, or times of peace, it is the tales of the martyrs and those teachings derived from their actions which should be held always at the heart of the flock.
And so, it is in celebration of this Year of Jubilee that We entreat all to sacrifice in Virtue; to reject temptations, to be charitable, and to help others as the martyrs did. We too command of the ordained of the Church that mass is to be held in each Diocese, the liturgy dedicated to that creed of selflessness at the heart of 1820.
With that, We do hereby decree Our affirmation of the Jubilee Year of Martyrs and it’s immediate commencement upon the publishing of this Pontifical Letter. May the martyrs enlighten all in Virtue and forever intercede on the behalf of the faithful from those heavens, a place in which they earned in duty to God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Dei Gratia,
Sanctitas, Papa Iudaes Secundus☩INSTAURARE OMNIA IN DEO☩

ENCYCLICAL LETTER
DEUS EST PACEM
GOD IS PEACEOF THE HIGH PONTIFF
IUDAES SECUNDUSIn Response to “O’ Father, where art thou?”,
And Addressed to the Wider Flock.
On the Peace of GOD and the place of the Church in War.HIS HOLINESS JUDE II, High Pontiff of the Church of the Canon, Archbishop of Visigia, Successor of the High Priesthood of the Church, Supreme Pontiff of the Church of True Faith, Keeper of the Canon, Missionary to Aeldin, High Servant to the Exalted's Testaments, Humble Servant of the Faithful and Vicar of GOD.
Lo! War’s relief is Peace, yet there is a grievous cost for Peace.
“You will know him, for with peace he gathers the sons of Horen,
where the sword has divided them.”
(Gospel 7:53)
Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.
We have not been deaf to the cries of war, yet as elucidated by Our brother, Minuvas, in Our silence it seems as if We have. As We, behind these walls have tried to preserve Peace between those of whom We shepherd, it is to the wider flock which We have been mute and it is that neglect which We acknowledge. So, it is in this Encyclical Letter that We intend to rectify this silence and too, clarify Her place in war among men.
As We spoke unto Our flock in Sextus Aurea Bulla Providentia, it has been since times immemorial that Peace has been lauded as a thing of good, a thing of God, both by the Exalted and those who succeeded them as the bearers of the Laurel, the High Priests and High Pontiffs of the Church of the Canon. Exalted Godfrey did bring Peace unto man as he trekked to the lands of Renatus (Gospel 6:12) and so too did His Holiness, Blessed Everard IV in the Encyclical Letter “Pax Dei et Treuga Dei”. Throughout the faith’s storied history, it has been known that Peace is the will of God and so have His Prophets and His Vicars upheld that will of God, God’s Peace.
So, it is war that is a blight upon man and Peace it’s cure. Yet now in conflict, we find ourselves suffering on battlefields and at home as that blight slowly corrupts these lands. This, We say now, is not God’s will; death and misery upon that which He created, that intended to be without sin and enveloped by virtue, is not His intention. We look to the Scroll of Auspice for that answer, there being no war or anger or death in that paradise, that which He shall decree upon the demise of the Enemy; only unity and Peace, from the Seven Skies to the Void. There, there shall be no conflict and only Peace.
That paradise, the end of times, is the very answer to the namesake of this Encyclical. You may ask: how can We say God is Peace? We say firstly that God is many things; God is Love, as is the motto of High Pontiff Everard V and so too is He Mercy, as He is the Most Merciful. We can too say He is not anger nor violence. Too are the end of times characterized by Love and Mercy in the absence of anger and violence. Characterized by many things, the end of times are of virtue, as He is the embodiment of virtue, and so too, therefore are the end of times an embodiment of Him.
The end of times are that which He intended, that which is perfect, and Him being all that is and the source of all that is perfect, so too must all that is of paradise be of Him. It is a paradise characterized by Peace which means that God is too of Peace and therefore, Peace of God. Lo! were the armies of God called to work Peace upon the world by Exalted Horen and so they did, “And by God’s will I redeem you of your failures, and send you to work Peace upon it.” (Auspice 2:9) It is true; God is Peace and therefore, Peace a thing of perfection.
And so, while the Empire may suffer in that great struggle of conflict, as God is Peace, so is Peace eternal. There is no death to Peace; even the most bloody war cannot kill that which is of God. As long as God remains in the hearts of men, so too shall there always be Peace. Therefore, there shall be an end to this war; that of resolution in faith and in God. We shall see Peace again reign supreme upon this terra for God shall always reign and no machinations of man, not even Iblees, can end that which is His.
However, as war is waged, it is asked; what shall the Church do? While the Church shall not fight in this war, as men dedicated to our flock, it is we ordained men who will serve in other ways. To heal the Canonists injured in battle, to recover the bodies of the deceased, to offer the Houses of Worship as places of safety for the innocent Canonist souls, and to pray for the descendants mired in conflict. We can offer a spiritual wealth unparalleled to lands deprived of the grace of God.To administer the Last Rites to the dead and to spread the message of Peace is what we as Priests must do for God is Peace and in a world plagued by that contrary to His will, it is through us that God shall behold the Canonist flock that righteous thing.
Now, while We know that this public letter to Our office was made in the intention of goodwill, We must ask the layman to not doubt the Mother Church when, whether behind closed doors or in the world, it works tirelessly for God’s will which is, in its perfection, that which is best for the faithful. We do indeed work for the greater good of all Canonists, even despite Our silence, and while silence may be deafening, the felled tree may be unheard but it still has been felled. We ask for the trust of the faithful in these times of war, for We are forevermore dedicated to the will of God; that of Peace, for God is Peace.
Written in and published from the Holy See, given to all Our flock on the thirteenth of Tobias’s Bounty, in the year of our lord, 1819, the twelfth of Our Pontificate.

“Pax Dei”
The message of peace is an essential teaching of our faith, elucidated by the Lord God and His Prophets in the Holy Scrolls. Whether it be the foretelling of the third son of spirit, Exalted Sigismund, “You will know him, for with peace he gathers the sons of Horen, where the sword has divided them.” (Gospel 7:52) or the detailing of the life of Exalted Godfrey, “He was called Godfrey, for he brought GOD’s peace.” (Gospel 6:12) it has been since times immemorial that peace has been known as a righteous thing. Interwoven into the tapestry of faith has always been peace, the Peace of God; from the Exalted to the Pontiffs, it has been peace which has been lauded as a bringer of great things and of great faith.
And so, in the spirit of this rather necessary teaching among the verses of the Holy Scriptures, We do make the proposition that God Himself is peace and therefore, to make peace is to will God unto this terra. It is in peace that the Canonist nations prosper. In peace that we are not bogged down by sin but lifted in worship. In peace that we may dedicate ourselves to faith rather than conflict. So, it is God who wants peace for peace brings virtue, unity, faith, and among them all that which He calls us to. Therefore, We call unto you; will God unto these lands by gracing them with that great thing of peace. Ensure in peace that virtue is practiced among the masses and then, truly then, shall we know God.

SECTION VI
As has been brought to Us by such respected sisters as the Mothers Roxelana and Liserli, it has become quite clear that the vocation of female monasticism has been rendered to a duty rarely utilized to its full extent by the Church, even despite a nun’s, at times, unchallenged faith and piety. While We, called to uphold the received tradition, do not see it fit to allow women to take up the vocation of the Priesthood, as there exists no precedent in support of such reform, it is Our intention to see the place of women in the Church neglected no longer and therefore do deem it a righteous mission to see female monastics take a more integral role in the Church.
It was affirmed by Our predecessor, His Holiness Owyn III, that the Mothers among the faithful may take up roles intrinsic to diocesan affairs, without a Bishop’s authority over matters of episcopal purview but retaining its role as a superior over their counterparts of similar vows. We do wish to affirm something similar, forming the offices of Reverend Mother of Providentia, Reverend Mother of Albarosa, and Reverend Mother of Jorenus, all to be under the authority of the Holy Mother and to have direct authority over the nuns within their diocesan sphere.
Their superiors shall too be their episcopal peers in their place as ordained men as well as the Metropolitan, Prince-Archbishop, and Patriarch (depending on which diocese they serve within) so as to allow the integrity of diocesan structure to be maintained.
With these three positions established, We do make these following appointments:
HOLY MOTHER OF THE CANONIST CHURCH, an appointment once bestowed during the Pontificate of Blessed Jude I, to be appointed by the High Pontiff and have full authority over matters of the Sisterhood on Our behalf. Currently held by the Holy Mother, Sister Roxelana
THE SISTERHOOD OF PROVIDENTIA, encompassing the Metropolitanate of Providentia, to be under the care of Reverend Mother, Sister Liserli.
PRIORESS OF PROVIDENTIA, to act as a Vicar of sorts to the Reverend Mother, to be in Sede Vacante.
THE SISTERHOOD OF ALBAROSA, encompassing the Prince-Archbishopric of Albarosa, to remain in Sede Vacante.
PRIORESS OF ALBAROSA, to act as a Vicar of sorts to the Reverend Mother, to be in Sede Vacante.
THE SISTERHOOD OF JORENUS, encompassing the Patriarchate of Jorenus, to remain in Sede Vacante.
PRIORESS OF JORENUS, to act as a Vicar of sorts to the Reverend Mother, to be in Sede Vacante.
With two among three in a state of Sede Vacante, We do charge Our Sister among the Curia, the Holy Mother Roxelana to see these positions filled and in turn charge the Reverend Mothers to ensure cohesion of these structures, care for the wider flock of the Fathers, and in their capacity for motherly love, offer their sage advice to the Bishops of whom We have appointed.
SECTION VII
PROMULGATION OF DOCTRINE
“On the Matter of Autopsies”With concerning developments in the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska on the matter of autopsies, We were called upon by a lawyer of the Kingdom’s most respected courts some time ago to comment on such matters which remained elusive to them. We too found a clear answer to this question rather difficult to find and while We do, in review of the Codex, know of sufficient laws to combat this matter, We nevertheless wish to clarify. In preface, this promulgation will rely upon these two laws, “§4. A person who is gravely irreverent of a corpse, sacred place, sacred object, an individual suitable for veneration, or a relic, has committed the crime of sacrilege.” and, “§6. In any case, the decedent’s body is to be treated with reverence and solemnity.” found in Chapter One under the Second Title and Chapter Four under the Second Title respectively.
It is in Our belief that the body should be buried in the state it was in at birth, where possible, and in contradiction to the preparation of a body for burial which may require similar processes, autopsy is done purely for secular means and investigations rather then with the intent of the laying to rest of the lost soul. It is in this that the integrity of Creation as it was made is deemed to be a priority over the knowledge of cause of death and so forth, the treating of the deceased with reverence of utmost import and surely above knowing such things of absolutes. With that, We do hereby clarify that the aforementioned laws among those of the Codex of Canon Law are to be upheld in the matter of autopsies and that the procedure of an autopsy is an affront to the expected treatment of the deceased; with reverence and solemnity as duly ordained by Our predecessors.
SECTION VIII
WRIT OF DISSOLUTION
Of the Sacrament of MatrimonyIt brings Us great sorrow to pen a Pontifical Letter to dissolve a union intended to be indissoluble. However, in the example of our Lord God, the Mother Church is a merciful one and so, within Our rights as afforded to Us by the Codex of Canon Law, We do deem this warranted action by the precedent set by Our predecessors. Abandoned, now ten years by his wife, His Royal Highness Franz of the House Barbanov raises five children alone and without the help of their mother in her absence. Finding no ways to contact Lorena Marianne Barrow as well as no other avenues to solve this predicament, he has requested of Us this Writ.
While We regard all unions as eternal, We are nevertheless a merciful father and therefore dissolve the union between Franz Leopold Barbanov and Lorena Marianne Barrow on the basis of abandonment. We demand of both to seek Our permit for the officiation of future marriages, lest they be considered invalid. We pray for the safety of Madam Lorena and for the health of His Royal Highness and his children.
SECTION IX
In these times of conflict, it is to the martyrs which Our mind has been drawn; to their noble sacrifice, that of faith and for God. To the martyrs of the Diet of Karosgrad or those of the Franciscan Massacre, it is their sacrifice which is the epitome of faith, the faithful soul unflinching in the face of death, in full trust of God and utmost devotion to Him above all. In celebration of this surrender to God, We do announce the Jubilee Year of 1820, that of the many Martyrs venerated by the Mother Church, to begin in a year’s time upon 1819’s conclusion. In preparation, We do ask the faithful to take part in prayer so as to ready themselves to surrender themselves before God in pilgrimage, penance, and virtue, as did the martyrs.
SECTION X
Through Our Apostolic Authority, We affirm these following venerations.
VENERABLE FATHER, FRANCISCO,
Made Venerable for his faithful service to God, dedication to his flock in his station as Francisco Cardinal Sutica, devotion to peace between the Hyspian peoples, and sacrifice for such a cause at the hands of the late leader of the Norlandic Hyspia.VENERABLE FISKE VANIR,
Made Venerable for his faithful service to God, dedication to the righteous mission of the Mother Church as a layman and long-time Monsignor among the Curias of Pontiffs, and his devotion to the flock of Jorenus, the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska.☩INSTAURARE OMNIA IN DEO☩

YOUR SERVANT,

PONTIFICAL LETTER
ON THOSE REVERED FIGURES OF FAITH
SOLEMNLY PROMULGATED
BY HIS HOLINESS
HIGH PONTIFF IUDAES SECUNDUS
9th of Godfrey’s Triumph, 1818
Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.
Brothers and sisters. From times immemorial, it has been the lives of virtuous men and women, decreed by God through miracles in this mortal world, who we have venerated, their lives celebrated among the days of our Liturgical Calendars and their actions revered. Exemplars of faith and piety, it is these men and women, so profoundly moral in their service to God, who we look to for guidance in our daily lives, striving to act akin to them as they devoted themselves to the Lord. It is they who we pray to for intercession and who we know, through the miracles of the Saints or the deeds of the Venerable, that assuredly reside in the Seven Skies.
It is too from times immemorial that the Church has passed down and chronicled the stories of these Saints, yet not of such immense scale as Our more recent predecessors did. It was the last Legenda Sanctorum, written and compiled with the imprimatur of Blessed High Pontiff Daniel VI, which was published nearly a century ago, in the year 1724. From this time, there have been many men and women who, by the grace of God, have been revealed to be among the Saints, the Blessed, and the Venerable, and therefore Canonized, Beatified, and Venerated by his successors. With that said, We have written, compiled, and published here the Second Volume of the Legenda Sanctorum and pray that it shall serve the flock well as we all strive to serve our Lord best, in the examples of the Venerated.

SAINT NAFIS OF AL-DIRAHK
UNCUT DIAMONDPatron Saint of Farfolk, Fishermen, Diamonds, Converts and Revolution
Nafis of Al-Dirahk, born Nafis Yar in the Caliphate of Khalestine, was an orphaned boy born of Qalasheen descent, taken under wardship by House Kharadeen. With this background of a patriotic upbringing, Saint Nafis himself grew too to take pride in his nation and nationality, aspiring therefore to take up arms as a soldier for the Caliphate. This he did, involving himself in the purges of monsters and dangerous foe of the Vailorian Khalestine. Yet, even in times of peace, Nafis sought no rest, instead providing for his family by means of fishing at docks or by ship. It was thereafter that he would serve, only briefly, among the ranks of the Order of St. Lucien, departing from the Order then to instead become a mercenary at the Duke War’s conclusion, later forming his own mercenary company dubbed the Hallowvale Contracting Mercenary Company, it’s ranks filled with many who he fought alongside in the Kingdom of Oren, along with disenfranchised Qalasheen. This would lead to Khalestine coming under the rule of the recently formed Kingdom of Vandoria which was led at the time by Frederick “Decimus” Rovin, once a pupil of Nafis.Despite his many successes, Saint Nafis was nevertheless captured by Urguan during the Eighteen Year’s War, held for four years and only to be released as Imperial forces advanced, freed from his prison by said Imperial forces. It was then that he returned home to Vandoria, only to be awaited by the Grand Empire of Vanderguan which had become successor to the late Kingdom after House Winter, Kharadeen, and the Dwed had united to form this new state. This angered Nafis, proceeding to lead a rebellion against the Dwed, named the Qalasheen Spring.
After little success, with the employing of guerrilla warfare, it was Nafis and the rebellion which came out as the victors, the Saint taking the seat of Lord Protector over the restored Kingdom of Vandoria thereafter. With the Caliphate dismantled by his hand and reformed into a Sultanate, the newly made Lord Protector enshrined Canonism as the state religion, having been introduced to the faith and baptized by High Pontiff Lucien III during the Dukes’ War, after he had conquered Vandoria. Nafis would later die of Black Lung, old in age, his impact and legacy lasting, those accomplishments among them being the Sultanate, his actions as Lord Protector which would later affect the spread of Canonist rule for the better, and his legacy continued by his son and daughter, Almas Yar-Lowedge and Rakim Yar.
MIRACLES:
1.In battle, the son of Saint Nafis, Rakim Yar, adorned the metal mask of Nafis, which the Saint had worn in combat with the undead. It was then that Rakim was hit by an arrow from the enemy which pierced through the mask and knocked him unconscious, only to wake at the battle’s conclusion, unharmed and his armies victorious.
2.A group of soldiers, stranded in the dead, tainted River Piscatoris, prayed to Saint Nafis for his intercession, soon to receive a bountiful catch of monkfish which swam in from the sea. Free of taint among dead and impure waters, the catch provided enough food for them to find their way safely home.
3.With an unfair tax levied upon Canonist Farfolk residing in Emir Osman al-Mubak’s nation, a missionary of the one true faith would seek audience with the Emir on numerous occasions to request the removal of this tax, rejected each time with the threat of death at the last. After the missionary prayed to Saint Nafis however, Emir Osman was found dead with diamonds pouring from every orifice of his body. Replaced by a new Emir, the tax would be removed and the Canonist Farfolk compensated with those diamonds from the body of Osman.Canonized in Prima Aurea Bulla Ves
HIGH PRIESTS, SAINTS CLEMENT AND EVARISTUS OF PARADISUS
LEFT HAND BEARING A LAUREL RIGHT HAND BEARING A LAURELPatron Saint of the Keepers of the Canon Patron Saint of the Keepers of the Canon
Born of the same womb, the brothers, Saints Evaristus and Clement’s tales are known widely within the Church as the first heads of faith; the joint bearers of the Laurel of which would be passed throughout generations to their successors, the many High Priests and High Pontiffs of centuries to come. Anointed dual High Priests by the second Prophet, Exalted Owyn, they would be bestowed the Laurel and therefore charged to guide the faithful in that manner which God did ordain righteous, “Owyn obeyed the command of GOD and anointed the brothers Evaristus and Clement, who jostled in the same womb, as joint bearers of the laurel of Horen.” (Gospel 5:3). Evaristus and Clement would be entrusted too with the Scroll of Virtue and Spirit respectively, becoming Keepers of the Canon, a title all their successors would share. It was at the command of Exalted Owyn that the High Priests would guide man as shepherds over their flock and would form at the Prophet’s behest what was the early Church, ordaining the first Priests of the Canon which would travel to convert and teach those who the two Saints could not reach, “At Owyn’s command, the brothers set shepherds over the flock of men, and so created a priesthood for their instruction, in anticipation of the second son of spirit.” (Gospel 5:5) It would be Saints Evaristus and Clement who would be responsible for the early, wide spread of the Canon’s teachings, ensuring not only that God had faithful but learned faithful who knew truly the Word of God and that way of life which He does deem virtuous.
MIRACLES:
1.It is recorded, after the sacking of the Priestly See of Pontian I, that upon their relocation, the bodies of Saints Evaristus and Clement were discovered to be incorruptible, their earthly forms unravaged by the centuries of assumed decay since their deaths.
2.After the man James had been anointed by Exalted Godfrey as Pontifex over the Church (Gospel 6:59-61), the apparitions of the first High Priests descended from the heavens to the residence of the newly made Vicar of God. It was then that they offered him their blessing and guidance.
3.It was the toll of child birth which brought a young mother to the brink of death, bearing twins. Yet, after her family prayed to the Saints who had jostled in the same womb, Saints Evaristus and Clement, the pair of infants were delivered safely and the mother saved from that grim fate, going on to raise her children due to the pair of Saint’s intercession.Canonized in Octavus Aurea Bulla Helenam
SAINT NOAH OF PETRUS
AN EGGPatron Saint of Bishops, Mayors, and Confessors
Saint Noah knew humble beginnings, born to a rancher near the renown city of Petrus. There, in that city which served as the capital of many of the great Human Kingdoms and Empires, he became a watchman, dedicated to the city’s protection. Yet, it would not take long before he was inspired to take up the cloth; a natural inclination, surrounded by the Canonist faith in such a city as Petrus. There, he would be ordained and serve many years as a clergyman in the Duchy of Adria before being appointed it’s Bishop, administering the Episcopal See for many years as it’s shepherd. He was known to be a dedicated and virtuous man, as well as a famous Epulonist, committing his time foremost to the people of which he served, even being elected Mayor. In this dedication to his service, he would find himself devoted to the selfless defense of the Brelus Cathedral during the city’s sacking. For this, he was lashed in retribution by Augustus d’Amaury, yet in strenuous will, survived this terrible injury and continued to serve his flock, even being granted the honor of becoming the personal confessor to Bl. John Sigismund.
MIRACLES:
1.A starving family, having had a barren harvest before winter’s beginning, were practically dying. However, after the father had prayed to St. Noah of Petrus, unofficially confessing his sins in preparation for looming death, the next morning when he and his family awoke, they would find that their hens had produced dozens upon dozens of eggs over night, feeding them for the next week and allowing the father the strength to head to the far away market in the village over to purchase food to allow them to survive to the winter’s end.
2.Having taken on a penance of his own, a man was going on a pilgrimage, trekking to each Cathedral on the continent. As he walked the longest road of his journey to his final destination, the man was exhausted and so, knowing him to be one associated with confession, prayed to Noah of Petrus. Upon waking up to continue his pilgrimage, the man found a basket filled with eggs and a Bishop’s crozier, allowing him a full meal and an aid so that he could make it the last way.Canonized in Octavus Aurea Bulla Helenam
SAINT TARA OF PARADISUS
PEONY FLOWERPatron Saint of Captives, Wives, and the Wilderness
A figure known from Scripture, Saint Tara of Paradisus was the wife of Saint Joren of Paradisus. To be a devoted wife, the woman born in Aaun was known for her virtuous disposition and kind hearted nature and so, caught the eye of Saint Joren who would later marry her, “It came that Joren Son of Horen found a wife of virtue and dignity, who came from Aaun. Her name was Tara, and her kindness warmed the halls of Joren’s keep, and he resolved to wed her.” (Gospel 4:6-7) However, accepting Harren’s invitation to be wed to her in the Holiest of cities, it was known to be a trap and Saint Joren and Saint Tara would be beaten, chained, and captured. It would be seven years later, upon the defeat of Harren by the second Prophet, that they would be freed by Exalted Owyn, Saint Tara having held resolve in her captivity through prayer and faith.MIRACLES:
1.Upon her being taken captive by a malicious man, a young girl would pray to Saint Tara of Paradisus. Upon the fourth night of prayer to her, the young girl would fall asleep, to be met by the apparition of Saint Tara in her dreams. When she awoke in the midst of twilight, she would find the door to her room unlocked, freed from her captivity and allowing her to escape and flee to home.
2.A woman’s husband had been taken by forces unknown and had disappeared months prior, leaving the wife alone to raise three children. One night however, after a prayer to Saint Tara, she would too be met by the woman once held captive in her dream, yet not personally. Instead, she would be led along the roads outside her village by a petal from a peony flower, to a window of a rundown house. There, she would see her husband inside, only to wake up soon after. Reporting this immediately to authorities, they would be terribly skeptical but nevertheless pursued it in a lackluster fashion to calm what they thought were a raving woman’s leads. They would find this house however, as directed, and too, her husband inside, allowing him to be returned to his wife and children.Canonized in Octavus Aurea Bulla Helenam
SAINT TOBIAS OF ROSEMOOR
BLUE RIBBON OR BLUE STRIPESPatron Saint of Emperors, Restorers, and Benefactors
A man known for his steadfast dedication to virtue and faith, Saint Tobias of Rosemoor was born to Exalted Sigismund and one of his father’s successors on the throne of the Holy Orenian Emperor. Characterized by his devout faith, he is remembered fondly by the Church as an Emperor dedicated to Her wellbeing, making a historic donation to Her, that being the granting of land from the Imperial State to the Mother Church in the “Donation of Tobias''. It would be, after thirteen years adorning the Crown once worn by Exalted Godfrey, that Saint Tobias would abdicate his throne which would pass on then to his son, Alexander I.It would be the remainder of his life that he would devote to the mission of avenging his son as well as fighting against the forces of the Undead. Through prayer and faith, he would persevere and pass on forty years after his abdication in the year of 1520, at the age of one-hundred and twelve years lived.
MIRACLES:
1.As a man surrounded by undead awaited death by their grievous hands, a bright light would shine before him. From that light grew the apparition of Saint Tobias, a saving grace sent from the heavens. Before these undead foe, he raised an illuminated hand, sending each fleeing for their graves. Saint Tobias would disappear thereafter, the man saved and allowed to live another day.
2.A Church in the countryside was surrounded by demonic forces. The laity within cowered in fear, praying for their saving. Soon enough, it was reported that a blue ribbon flew through an open window and floated throughout the hallowed chamber as if carried by a supernatural breeze, guiding the laymen to a more secluded door which allowed them to escape without hindrance from near death.Canonized in Octavus Aurea Bulla Helenam
SAINT ALEXANDER FREDERICK OF FURNESTOCK
THE MURAL CROWNPatron Saint of Democracy, Imperials, Rights, Lovers, and the Impoverished
Born in Atlas as an Imperial Prince to the Empire of Man, his early years were spent in deep study on such topics as compatriotism and the principles of democracy, taught by scholars from the Republic of Holm and Raevir Cossacks. After these formative years, he would dedicate himself to the sword, fighting against the Vaeyl Insurgency which embroiled the south of the continent, making an intrinsic effort in bringing the Canonist faith to places where it once could not reach. As an advocate of democracy, he would be permitted, under careful scrutiny, the position of Lord Privy Seal under Aurelius I and formed the Imperial Parliament. As an advocate too for the involvement of the Church in affairs of it’s Canonist Princes, this representative body, first of its kind, allowed the Mother Church a voice in the Empire. After having a miraculous experience, being reported to have whispered to a candle (which later burned his eye, causing it’s removal), he would abandon his material wealth as well as his birthright, instead taking up the cloth to serve as a preacher in the Earldom of Nordengrad. He would then relocate and serve in the Bishopric of Cyrilsburg, leading the Palatine Guard stationed there. Years later, he would reveal that that candle spoke with the voice of God, commanding that he abandon that birthright, the Principality of Alstion, and instead devote his life to steadfast service in the Church.
In his twilight years, as a man of frail frame, he would continue to devote himself to those values which he was taught during his childhood, returning to the Imperial Capital and being elected to the seat of Helena. He would later officiate the union between Joseph Clement de Sarkozy and Anne Augusta Helene which would create the House Novellen. He would pass on in the year 1754, aged one-hundred years. Remembered for his humility, he was found on various occasions sleeping on the streets as a vagrant and too, famously had six consecutive wives.
MIRACLES:
1.A vagrant and former companion of Saint Alexander was assaulted by a criminal and stabbed by a rusty blade, much the same as the wound inflicted upon the Prince at a battle against the Vaeyl. At first, he did not seek medical treatment, however, after reportedly seeing the apparition of the Saint, he made his way to a clinic and made it just in time, having avoided the onset of tetanus due to the apparition’s warning.
2.As Saint Alexander was replaced in the Imperial Senate after his passing, Bl. James II found himself becoming skeptical of democracy and its processes. Due to this concern, he drafted a public statement in condemnation of it, however while he wrote it, a flame from Saint Alexander’s candle leapt from the wick and fell unto the page, rendering it to ashes. His Holiness took this as a sign from God, calling the Diet of Helena and establishing democracy as a policy of the Church.Canonized in Tredecimus Aurea Bulla Helenam
SAINT FOLTEST OF AELDIN
AN INFLAMED TREBUCHETPatron Saint of Bastions and Siegeworks
Saint Foltest of Aeldin, known for his steadfast service to God in virtue among those of the Kaedreni culture, Foltest remains to be a figure of much import and inspiration. Through his life, he was known to defend God’s Creation, both Man and land, with great devotion, from threats heretical, undead, and so on which hindered the influence of God on His terra. Characterized by selfless sacrifice and bravery, in ages past, accounts tell of his rescue of Canonists from the burning Brelusian Cathedral which threatened to kill all inside, the Saint fearlessly entering the maw of flames so as to save the congregants within from an untimely demise. Too, many accounts of his victories in battle against those aforementioned heretical and daemonic foes continue to be told among the Kaedreni to this day, his life known as a heroic one and one molded by virtue.MIRACLES:
1.During his rescue of the congregants within the Brelusian Cathedral, a miracle occurred. As the flames continued to ravage the Church’s structure, Foltest of Aeldin would exit unhindered and uninjured by the flames which would have singed his skin at least or killed him at worst.
2.A lone, Kaedreni soldier, surrounded by demonic foes during a battle against the Inferni Incursion, prayed to Saint Foltest for his intercession (whether that be strength and defense, or safe passage to the Seven Skies). Upon this prayer, his sword began to glow a bright white, allowing him to cut each demon in one strike, saving him from such a grim death.Canonized in Prima Aurea Bulla Providentia
SAINT TYLOS BARCLAY OF KALDEN
A WHITE STALLIONPatron Saint of Stonemasonry, Cavalry, and Lost Causes
A man of common birth, Saint Tylos Barclay would be of little renown until the war which would consume much of his lifetime. The War of Two Emperors would see Tylos of Kalden become a soldier, pledging himself to the Emperor, Joseph I, joining among his armies to battle against the Pertinaxi-Horen dynasty. Devoting the entirety of his savings to purchase armor and a horse, Saint Tylos would set out with little else to war and would fight in many, resulting victories for the side of Joseph. Befriending many fellow men of the Josephite forces along the way, such as the future Lord Protector, Adrian de Sarkozy, all these men would soon be tested as their successive victories would eventually come to an end.As the forces of Oren sieged the Capital City of the Empire of Renatus, Helena, they would soon see defeat as they were successfully pushed back by the Pertinaxi forces. Upon this defeat, the banner of Joseph I was weakened, various states once devoted to the Orenian side, now deserting it. With this, the Pertinaxi armies tore through the countryside of Joseph I’s Empire, yet Saint Tylos, ever brave and devoted, dedicated himself to, along with fellow troops, to an offensive of guerilla warfare. This effort would be relatively unsuccessful, being vastly outnumbered, yet their self-sacrifice would do immense good, even allowing the citizens of Reza the time to evacuate before a Renatian attack.
Upon the conclusion of the War of Two Emperors, Saint Tylos would once more dedicate himself to battle, joining under the banner of Ludvig VII in Kalden. While once more the greater war would be lost, in his own acts of heroic bravery and battle, Saint Tylos would act as an exemplar of virtue in such times of bloodshed. Nearing the end of his life, he would give up sword and shield to instead take up the mission of recovery, riding throughout the countryside and spreading the word of God whilst aiding in the healing of the nation. He would pass on after decades of devotion to this final work, ending a life of virtue and dedication in service.
MIRACLES:
1.As the city of Reza was expected to be besieged by Renatian forces, Saint Tylos and his small contingent would devote themselves to helping in the city’s defense and the citizenry’s evacuation. Beginning construction on an outer wall, they would soon be faced by a deficit in resources. Readying himself for a night of slumber, the Saint would lay his cloak over the small pile of rocks. Yet, upon rising the next morning, after a night of prayer, revealed under the cloak would be a miraculously large pile of stones, allowing the construction on that outer wall to be completed.
2.During the latter years in Arcas, at the height of the Inferni Incursion, the apparition of Saint Tylos appeared on a white steed within the confines of the city of New Reza, a miracle witnessed by many within the former capital of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska.Canonized in Prima Aurea Bulla Providentia
SAINT HARALD VUILLER
A SILVER EAGLEPatron Saint of Priest Combatants and Demonic Banishment
Born as the heir to House Vuiller’s holdings, Saint Harald spent his formative years in the city of New Reza. However, at fourteen years of age, the Vuiller would instead take up sword and shield and join the armies of Man. As he traveled the continent alongside his brothers in arms, Saint Harald’s interest would be piqued by the work of the clergy, finding himself at the Cathedrals and Churches of each city the army brought him to, worshipping alongside the laity there. Even among the armies did he keep true to the teachings instilled in him by his family, dedicating his time after each battle to the burial of the fallen troops. He was dubbed “the Battle Bishop” for this particular devotion to virtue. After sixteen years of service, his parents passed and he was called home from the field by his sister. Having buried his parents, he would return to the capital city of Hanseti-Ruska with the ambition of joining the Brotherhood of St. Karl, yet from them, was met with nothing but animosity. Thrown out of the city, Saint Harald was not aware that it was because his sister had been accused of witchcraft. From deep prayer came vision, revealing to him the fiendish cultist, a man of Iblees who had cursed his sister. He would hunt this man down and successfully so, yet not in time to save his sister. She would be sentenced to death but at her execution, she would break free of her bindings and escape death by drowning, swimming far from home and away from wrongful punishment.
Years of hard work had brought about wonderful results; he had cleansed his family name. Joining the Brotherhood of St. Karl as their chaplain, he would later be ordained by Boniface Cardinal Ves. Yet, even among such triumphs of these years, there were too great tragedies, most prominently the kidnapping of his wife who would never be found. However, through prayer, worship, and service did he endure. Making great donations to the Church, such as the relinquishing of his ancestral home of Vuillermoz to the Church, which would become Her Holy State, Saint Harald would too dedicate himself to simpler studies, spending time reading the Holy Scrolls as well as many Theses of theological renown. He would meet his end with sword in hand, defending the city of New Reza from the attack of a demonic entity and saving thousands of lives in the process.
MIRACLES:
1.After strenuous battle with the demon before the walls of New Reza, Saint Harald would be raised high in the air by the demon, only to be petrified; turned to stone. Yet, after many blows were delivered to the demon by the Vuiller’s brothers-in-arms, he would be relinquished from the demon’s grip, only to fall through the air. However, his body was saved as a beam of light struck its stone surface, causing it to float safely to the ground.
2.Decades after his death, the apparition of Saint Harald would appear to such figures as His Holiness, Bl. James II, Sister Roxelana, and High Pontiff Jude II, and others on various occasions, espousing fatherly guidance to all he met, akin to that which he told during his life.Canonized in Prima Aurea Bulla Providentia
SAINT ANDRIK VYDRA
A FLEUR DE LIS SCEPTERPatron Saint of Victory, Military Excellence & the Schism war
Born Andrik Vydra and known regally as Andrew I, the Saint is remembered as the King of Akovia and later, a King of Oren. During his time as Sovereign of such a Kingdom, Oren went through vast reforms under his rule which led to a nature of prosperity which had not been known and would not be known for years before and after. He is too remembered for his involvement in the Schism War, his great faith and bravery in battle leading to the victory of the Canonist League and the disbanding of it’s schismatic counterpart, Godfrey Horen ceding the City of Petrus to the Saint and after, a peace treaty signed, leading to a reformed and united Kingdom of Oren. He would pass on in the year 1498 at the age of thirty-seven, leaving a legacy of a man beloved by his people; one of piety and of devotion to his duty as a crowned Sovereign.MIRACLES:
1.In battle at Milvian Bridge, facing foes innumerable of all races and the Undead armies of the Enemy himself, the forces of Saint Andrik would achieve victory and the Saint would leave the field unharmed, despite having faced many of those foes at once as a lone combatant.
2.As an Akovian peasant, Saint Andrik would stand before the near entirety of Humanity in the confines of the Cloud Temple, of which all would bend knee to him, seeing his Holy Mandate to be one of truth; to unite mankind. Within hours, all temporal rulers would recognize him as the King of Oren.Canonized in Tertia Aurea Bulla Albarosa
HIGH PONTIFF, SAINT EVERARD II
THE CHECKERED EAGLEPatron Saint of Forethought, Divine Retribution & Pontifical Statehood
Born Edmond de Montfort, the nephew of the late Saint Daniel I would grow up to rise swiftly through the ranks of the Church and, upon the death of his predecessor, Blessed High Pontiff Daniel II, would be elected the Vicar of God, the last of which to be raised to such a throne unanimously. Known for his stable rule, Saint Everard II would serve as an exemplar to his successors bringing about what would be considered one of the longest Golden Ages the Church had ever known. Dubbed ‘the Watcher’ and ‘the Wise’, he was well regarded among clergy and laity alike and would greatly impact the world stage at large throughout his Pontificate.Responsible for such things as the restoration of the Horen dynasty with the coronation of John I, the founding of various missions to both Elven and Dwarven nations, as well as being the first among Pontiffs to codify Canon Law, His Holiness’s works would affect the Church and all fellows of Canonist faith for centuries to come. However, among those who supported him, there were dissenters who objected to his expansionist policy and Pontifical restoration, most notably John Turnball. While the majority of the schismatics would be arrested and executed at a Diet called by John I himself, those remaining would assassinate him in 1537, causing the abrupt end to his twelve year long reign. He passed on at the age of forty and would leave behind him a legacy of piety, stability, and the Everardine Age.
MIRACLES:
1.During what is known as the Redmarck massacre, where the entire Adrian retinue were murdered by the de Sola’s, the High Pontiff would leap from the highest point of the castle and land safely despite its immense stature, going on to report it to the authorities.
2.In Luciensport, the Archaenguls Michael and Gabriel would descend from the heavens before the High Pontiff, requesting aid in their fight against Iblees. Afterwards, witnesses reported that for an entire week, Saint Everard was illuminated by golden, heavenly light.
3.Everard II would stand between John of Carnatia and his army, and Augustus Valkenwrath, the mayor of Alsace, during the citys’ sacking. As the High Pontiff spoke unto the men, it would alone freeze the troops of John of Carnatia, allowing the people of Alsace the time to flee.Canonized in Tertia Aurea Bulla Albarosa

Jude II, within the confines of the Papal Apartments, receives the document with a smile, "A most joyous day when the publications of our Canonist nations focus not on those matters day-to-day but of those of God. A wonderful contribution made by the Patriarch and an act to be applauded by Their Ladyships." The aged Pontiff commented to an Acolyte nearby before setting the paper aside, proceeding to pray for those unions impeded by marital troubles, "May Saint Julia intercede for our brothers and sisters united in union, who face the struggles so often seen, and through her prayers, have their shared bond of love be made ever lasting by the power of God who did ordain marriage between man and woman a righteous thing."

PONTIFICAL EXHORTATION
VIDE VICTORIAM PER UNITATEMOF THE HIGH PONTIFF
IUDAES SECUNDUSADAPTED TRANSCRIPT OF PONTIFICAL MASS
The Feast of the Final Revelation11th of Horen’s Calling, 1815
Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.
Brothers and sisters. Today we celebrate a most joyous occasion, that of the Feast of the Final Revelation. It is during this most merry yet too, reflective time that we as Canonists draw our attention to one particular Scroll, that being the final revelation itself: the Scroll of Auspice. It is this which speaks not of our faith’s history or any particular teachings as the Scrolls Virtue and Spirit do but instead, what is to occur in ages to come; the end of times. It is the resolution of sorts to the Scroll of Gospel, in the contents of it’s three visions speaking, or rather foretelling the final rise and death of the Enemy and, after that, the fruition of God’s plan and the coming of Paradise.
However, while this image in and of itself, that of God’s sole rule unimpeded by Iblees, is most inspiring, there is a message not so likely seen among those sacred verses and yet, so very relevant in this day and age. This message is that of unity. We call your attention, most beloved flock, to verses five and six of the Vision of Strife,
“Lo! The virtuous dead are descending, and at their fore are the sons of spirit, and the sons of the first man and woman. And leading them is Horen renewed, and he ordains the estates of their armies.”
Imagine that, brothers and sisters. This imagery depicts millions of faithful souls, all the virtuous, descending from the heavens to finally vanquish that enemy which has tempted them and their brothers for millenia and has, in sickening defiance of his Creator, so wretchedly betrayed Him. They will now, UNITED, defeat that age old foe of their Lord, of our Lord, and bring unto this world, His peace. We ask you all: how does that, as a Canonist, make you feel?
We know personally, it inspires Us greatly, not only as a Canonist but as a brother to Our fellow Canonists. It is these three Visions, whether it be the verses describing the stance of the virtuous, that live, against Iblees in the Vision of Portent, of the armies of the virtuous dead in the Vision of Strife, or the united souls in union with God in the Vision of Paradise, which bring in such a stirring manner, to mind the relevancy of unity now more than ever. For peace, for prosperity, for faith itself, it is unity which is paramount to our mission as those servants of God and paramount always, mind you; not just then but yesterday, today, tomorrow, and those days after it.
So, with this message, We pray, kept close at heart; do take heed of Our words. We call you now to be a brother among brothers, a sister among sisters. It is unity which shall always be relevant in the faith for, We assure you; if it is how we win the final battle, by God will it be how we win each battle before it. As the descendants fought, united, the Enemy in Gospel or how we, so very recently, fought the demonic Inferi, it is through unity that we shall prevail. So be united and so too shall we be victorious; for Godani.
Given in Karosgrad, within those hallowed halls of the Basilica of St. Henrik, to the faithful flock of Hanseti-Ruska.

“Do Not Betray To Defend”
It has been a constant throughout the faith’s history that it’s defense is paramount to our duty as Canonists. Yet, even in such virtuous defense of the faith, there are troubles, those being the measures of which one is willing to take. There are those of the flock who find it necessary not only to guide but to accost and in so doing, betray the virtue of which we as Canonists preach. It is these men and women who, in the face of the sinner, neglects their spiritual duty to admonish and instead resorts to insults and harm. Mind you, We speak not of the heretic or the apostate or such men and women deserving of due justice, but instead those who could and are willing to seek confession and yet, are met with the unkind and absolutely horrid affront to the Canonist Scripture from those who are called to abide by it.
It is these men and women who display such a contradiction of Canonist values that completely undermine their defense of the faith. It is these men and women who betray to defend; betray the values which God does call us to keep close at heart while naming themselves the defenders of those said values. It is these two things which clearly present themselves as absolute opposites and therefore, it is to those of the flock who betray to defend that We admonish. We call unto you; if you find oneself succumbing to the prejudices of the day which are exacted in such an unwarranted manner against those who would find much more value in guidance rather than attacks, We beg of you to instead admonish. Follow the example of the stern father; speak unto them the righteous path and guide them to the confession booth so that they may seek absolution. This is the only true defense, for how can we defend what we do not follow?

Jude II paused as he heard the echoing, hurried footsteps within the Papal Apartments, his terribly scarred hand setting aside the ink tipped quill he held. The aging Pontiff, seated at the desk within his study, called out then, "I am up here!" "Ah!" the attendant called, stepping up to the third floor in an ever consistently hurried fashion, "Your Holiness." The attendant bowed his head before placing upon the mahogany surface that freshly written parchment, "THE EMPEROR IS DEAD. LONG LIVE THE EMPEROR."
"Your business has become that of death, hasn't it." The attendant offered a dry laugh, "..I suppose so, Holy Father." Jude nodded then before his burnt hand, still bandaged at either side, extended to take hold of a new piece of parchment and too, his quill after that, "Thank you. God bless." he said to the man, to which he departed.
The sexagenarian, for hours, would pour over that paper in his study; the eulogy he would give for the late Emperor. Yet, even despite it's unfinished state, those hours later, the Pontiff would part from the desk and instead move to the balcony. There, among a growing collection of candles, did he place another. With match and the assistance of that same attendant, he would light it and there in silence pay respects to Joseph II.
"A prayer?" Jude glanced to the man at his side, to which he nodded, "Of course, Your Holiness." and then bowed his head along with the Pontiff. "Oh Lord God, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. I, Your most humble Vicar, do beseech Thee to behold the late Joseph, eternal peace. It is among the halls of Augustine that, despite the duties of office, did the Emperor keep faith, and it is among those halls and those outside Augustine's confines that his sage advice and rulership did keep the Empire of Exalted Godfrey afloat." Jude paused for but a moment, before concluding, "It is in this; his duty of rule that he did serve You faithfully and so, I pray for his soul. That You, Oh Merciful Lord, might reward him the heavens."
The burnt hand of the Pontiff rose then to head, chest, and shoulders as he crossed himself, "In nomine Patris, et Horenus, et Exaltus Honorem. Amen." And so, "Amen." did the attendant repeat. "May God bless him."

PONTIFICAL LETTER
WRIT OF ANNULMENT:
OF THE SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONYMost Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.
We write this declaration from Our most Holy Office with sorrow to hear of such incident in a union which has lasted decades. Yet, in peaceful agreement, each spouse has come to the conclusion that they cannot continue and after much discussion between the Pontificate and the two spouses, so do We concur. Therefore, We hereby declare the union of His Imperial Highness, John Charles, and Her Imperial Highness, Wilhelmina Beatrix, void, annulled on the grounds of their marriage being an unconsummated one and too, severe impairment of this union, characterized by separation, distrust, and other such factors spanning many years which have created an air of struggle amidst this bond of over thirty.
We do pray for each of the pair and hereby demand that each seek Our permit before entering any future unions. May God bless them.

After having been presented, at the Monastery of Saint Robert, it's finished architectural plans, Jude II found himself in quiet thought. Still somewhat pained by the scar upon his already terribly burnt hand, the tired gaze of the aging Pontiff was particularly drawn to that injury, much to the confusion of those attendants around him. Suddenly, Jude's lips parted, "Shall we pray?" Hesitantly, the Priests and Monks which surrounded his chair nodded, bowing their heads along with the sexagenarian.
"Oh Almighty God, King of Kings, Lord of Lords." he began. Much like he had done for Bishop Hernando, he too did for Father Alfonso, "I do beseech You, as Your most devoted Vicar, to behold my beloved brother, Father Alfonso, eternal peace." There he paused, "--Why--... Leave me.. please." he asked, to which those around him once more hesitated, "Leave." came in a more stern tone from the Holy Father, a command they heeded, departing to the other room. A long sigh would escape the Pontiff, "Why... must he be taken, Father?... Why not I?"
Jude then arose with struggle and, keeping pressure off his feet, took hold of candle and then matches, lighting it at the table near his chair as he had become rather accustomed the past days. To his friend and for that friend's sacrifice, he dedicated that candle with guilt, "May he be granted eternal peace, Lord. Surely, he is deserving of that..."

MATRIMONIUM SUBCRIPTIO
THE MARRIAGE REGISTEROF THE HIGH PONTIFF
IUDAES SECUNDUS1814-Present
“And as I made for you the worldly pleasures,
so too have I made the pleasures of the spirit,
and the love of the husband and wife.”
(Virtue 3:5)Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.
It has been throughout this most holy institution’s history that the Sacrament of Matrimony has been so highly regarded, founded firstly by the Lord even before His Church’s inception. The love of the husband and wife is first seen in the example of Exalted Horen and Saint Julia, that lasting bond seen so strongly between the pair, their marriage providing guide for those joined by the Sacrament in millenia to come. Yet, it is until the reign of High Pontiff, Venerable Pontian III and the tenure of his Auditor, Boniface, that a Marriage Register to keep in record those affirmed unions was sparse in the Church and no official record was kept.
It was after the migration from Arcas to Almaris that the Marriage Register of Venerable Pontian III’s Pontificate went defunct, something of which We wish to rectify so as to ensure unions are as the Lord intended; ones of virtue and of those laws which God did deem righteous. Therefore, as the former Auditor of the Tribunal did outline, We too outline these rules of which shall be expected in this iteration of the Mother Church’s records. Firstly, We expect all unions to be recorded here if they have not already in the previous Register, so as to ensure clarity for Us and Our clergy. Secondly, these records shall be private, only to be accessed by the clergy themselves.
Precedent set by the previous Register shall stand; law enforcement agencies of Our Canonist Princes may request information from these records when investigating such crimes as fornication, adultery, miscegenation and all those relating to these marriages of which we of the cloth alone may unite. They will not be given access to the records themselves but shall be presented with information by means of copy or word of mouth during investigation or at court by a Priest of the Church’s choosing.
Unlike the first Marriage Register however, those administering the Sacrament are expected to record those Sacraments affirmed by themselves. However, if it is easiest, those unions of the past or those administered before the promulgation of this register may be recorded by either party. If so, only one spouse must record their union, not both. If you, a spouse, are recording your own union and have forgotten the clergyman who did administer the Sacrament, you may instead write down the name of a legitimate and trustworthy witness who the Church may contact.
Lastly, any found lying or misleading Our Pontificate’s records will be brought before an ecclesiastical court under that diocesan administration where they live.

As Jude II strolled the Palace Gardens of Providence alongside his attendant and friend, Sister Catherine, and two Holy Knights of the Supreme Order, the Pontiff found his mind occupied by the death of his loyal Bishop, Hernando. Setting his papers aside, Jude would carefully ease onto a secluded bench among the trees a bushes which dotted the pathways, "Sister, Holy Sirs... shall we pray?" The trio nodded their heads, standing close beside the bench. As their hands clasped before them and their heads bowed, so did the Pontiff's, "Oh Lord God... as we think of- Mmph... today, I, Your most humble Vicar, do beseech Thee to behold my beloved brother, Bishop Hernando, eternal peace."
After a short pause, the aging Pontiff would continue, "It is he who served Thee devotedly in his episcopal office, even finding the sacrifice of life in his service to his flock, in trust to them and in You, Almighty Lord. Yet, sadly there were those who intended to deceive and so, Bishop Hernando lies dead and has, I pray, ascended to the Seven Skies." A long pause was given, Jude leaning back in discomfort on the bench, "I pray to Thee that You may grant Bishop Hernando bountiful reward for his actions in life, as both man and shepherd. This I pray, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Amen." The burnt hand of the Pontiff rose from his lap to press against head, chest, and shoulders, Jude crossing himself along with those attendants present upon the prayer's conclusion. The tired gaze of Jude then rose to the sky, in contemplation--prideful contemplation of his brother's life and service.

Within the confines of the Papal Apartments, it would be at daily morning mass, celebrated in the small Pontifical chapel, that Jude II would hear of the news. Amidst the blessing of the congregants, the aging Pontiff would set aside the aspergillum, instead beckoning those present to join him in prayer. Having received both news and copy of the Obituary from the courier, Jude would kneel at the altar, setting carefully upon it's surface that parchment. It was then that he prayed:
"We give you thanks, Almighty God,
For the bountiful blessings you have bestowed.
Look with favor on your people,
Great descendants of Joren, Siegmund, and Karl.
We pray that we might be delivered from all trials,
And that our children be safeguarded against all evils.
Grant us peace and may Your virtue reign supreme.
Sustain your chosen ruler, our king and his successors.
Give them insight and wisdom to govern wisely,
And to honor the holy testaments of Your word.
This we ask in the name of the Exalted and saints, Amen."
It would be that morning mass, or the remainder of it, which was dedicated to the beloved Cardinal Benedict, as he had done for Jude upon his enthronement to the Pontifical seat. That night however, was of more personal mourning and there, upon the balcony of the Pontifical Residence, he lit a candle for what he prayed was the last death for a long while, "May God bless brother Benedict, duly deserved for his work here in life, with peace in the heavens." The Pontiff nodded, "God bless, Benedict." before he found himself once more in the seclusion of those halls.

Jude II nods in approval upon seeing the General Order, commenting within the halls of the Papal Apartments, "Despite conflict, we are all human. I pray these grieving families and the men who..." The aging Pontiff paused, allowing a sigh to escape him, "who find themselves- themselves passed on, on either side get the time of grief and rest they deserve, respectively." Jude signed the cross then, to which a present Acolyte did in tandem. "May the Orenians and Sedanites will God upon these torn planes, for God is peace and so shall He bring calm in this time of war." The Vicar of God proceeded to begin writing a letter to the Arch Chancellor and the Committee on Public Safety; one of thanks for laying his concerns to rest.

ENCYCLICAL LETTER
QUI DOCTRINAM EX DIVINA INSPIRATIONE
THOSE TEACHINGS OF DIVINE INSPIRATIONOF THE HIGH PONTIFF
IUDAES SECUNDUSAddressed to the Bishops, Priests, Deacons,
and the Laymen of the Church of the Canon
On the Necessity for Canonist EducationHIS HOLINESS JUDE II, High Pontiff of the Church of the Canon, Archbishop of Visigia, Successor of the High Priesthood of the Church, Supreme Pontiff of the Church of True Faith, Keeper of the Canon, Missionary to Aeldin, High Servant to the Exalted's Testaments, Humble Servant of the Faithful and Vicar of GOD.
The next generation, taught not by the secular but by those teachings divinely inspired.
“And so I shall guide you in a theater of virtue,
and the virtuous shall not live except by My Word.”
(Virtue 1:7)
Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.
It is God, the Most High; the Most Merciful, Singular, and Omnipotent (Spirit 1:1) Who is all-knowing and Who, in His nature ever omnibenevolent, endows upon the faithful of Creation the potent wisdom divinely inspired. This wisdom is the basis for all things good for its source is the all-good and the source of all good things, that which has bestowed upon His Creation the virtues and the goodness of the soul, only to be perverted by the Enemy. It is this wisdom which is paramount to our societies, those of Our Canonist Princes, for it is that wisdom which is, as stated prior, the basis of all things good that mold those nations of Canonist creed into ones befitting that label of Canonist, forever identified not by name alone but by the virtue of the society and more importantly, those individuals which it encompasses.
It has been Our goal, throughout and ever still now in the sixth year of Our Pontificate, to stress the necessity for the Lord in all things; and yet, in such a modern day and age where apathy to the immoral action of the unrepentant sinner runs rampant, it is a task of great challenge to bring once more into the concerns of the faithful the issues of iniquity, relativism, secularism, and so on which eat away at the very foundations of Canonist society. However, to restore all things in God, measures must be taken to see this challenge overcome. To do this, we must organize our nations from the ground up in the way which God did ordain and such a foundation is that which God delivered to us through His first Prophet, “And so I shall guide you in a theater of virtue, and the virtuous shall not live except by My Word.” (Virtue 1:7).
CHAPTER ONE
“The Wisdom of God”In millennia past did God create the planes of existence and so too did this spark the creation of that which would deny Him: the Enemy who spoke unto God in sickening defiance of the omnipotent Lord, “And Iblees replied ‘For you name us as servants, and I shall devise of no virtue until I am your equal.’” (Gospel 1:23) However, the Denier too said this, “And now my touch is the touch of the Void, and it is with all things in your creation.” (Gospel 1:24) It is this curse, engendered by those words spoken by Iblees, which has plagued us, His Creation, with those temptations and sins contradictory to His design.
Those temptations are the inception for the necessity of His wisdom, for it is we, whose free will has been corrupted, that need the guiding hand of His word to be drawn into the fold, molded once more into that which He did ordain the nature of things; that which is good, brought forth into life through His Goodness. The very necessity for His wisdom is interwoven in the necessity for salvation; eternal salvation or everlasting union with God. In fact, it is salvation which relies solely upon His wisdom, for if it is in our natural nature to sin (Gospel 1:24), then it is only through His wisdom that we may be corrected and made worthy of that which entails the virtue of the individual.
CHAPTER TWO
“Canonist Education”As We have reflected upon God’s wisdom and its key role in the eternal deliverance of salvation, We now reflect upon the necessity for Canonist education over that of the secular world, using not the teachings of fallible ideology born of man but of the infallible and single truth of God: His wisdom. As said prior, to restore all things in God, a necessary facet of such a movement is to instill the Canonist morals and values of the faith from the foundation upwards throughout all of those nations of which the Church encompasses; for to restore is to build and to ensure that such a restoration endures, it must be built on a strong foundation.
As many have, We consider the foundation of our societies to be the next generation and so, to see to it that the Canonist faith and the virtue of which We preach finds itself at the heart of those nations, We do believe that to have those that shall inherit the Empires and Kingdoms of Canonist conviction receive a proper, Canonist education is paramount to the restoration of God in all things and the insurance of salvation among those of the Canonist faith. After all, it is the wisdom of God which we know molds us into those of virtue, for it is the virtuous who shall live by nothing else except His Word.
This is the importance of Canonist education, for it is not spoiled purely by the fallible but instead ensures the endurance of the Canonist life tenfold in the coming years, decades, and centuries. It molds our children and their children and their children after into virtuous men and women who see the wealth of virtue and the necessity to see Him in themselves, in their households, and in the societies in which they live. It is they, the generations to come, which shall be the movers and the shakers and to see to it that they are learned in Canonist values is to see the world made in God’s image not just now but too, in many years forward.
So, to find those words of Scripture in the classes of our children is to mold them into those that shall mold the world, not solely motivated by the secular world nor of any secular ideology but first and foremost, of the faith of the Lord. It is to see them impacted with values which shall last a lifetime and ensure their eternal souls in, what We pray, a century to come. It is too to see the souls of the nation in which they reside enduring in Canonist faith, the people of years to come, always willing God to be in each and every hall of governance and of leadership, securing the light of God in places which can so easily become dark and depraved in His absence.
CHAPTER THREE
“The Canonist and the Secular”Yet, We wish to clarify that Our intention is not to demean or discredit the secular education of which many of Our Canonist nations promote, for the sciences and certain philosophies not necessarily of the Church are nevertheless of great value to the progression of Creation on God’s path moving forward. However, what We do demean, discredit, and vehemently deem abhorrent is the philosophy of relativism which, in the absence of Canonist education, permeates throughout our societies and does not raise but harms the next generation of which shall inherit those nations of the one true faith and the many souls within them. The philosophy of relativism teaches that such things as morality are derived from man and it’s societies and cultures and are not absolute, ideas in contradiction to the Church’s doctrine on such matters.
It is this philosophy which leads to the horrors of the feared modern day and age where the people shall not live by the morals derived from God, those absolute and infallible, but instead purely of their culture which are, as man is, imperfect. It is Our point that an education purely secular permits such a philosophy to spread like a plague for it is not founded upon the one truth but upon those truths that man finds convenient. It is this fact which makes a secular education, deprived of God’s wisdom, which is a dangerous thing, one apathetic to the plights which God recognizes and instead, either consciously or unconsciously concerned with creating a rift between religious and secular.
For this reason, balance is necessary, for while the secular ideas are useful, they are deprived of good when deprived of God. It is a balance between that of the secular sciences and so on, melded with the Canonist doctrine and that truth of the Merciful, Singular, and Omnipotent Lord which is necessary to see our nations lifted up in light and made tools for God’s Plan and not tools for Iblees; for God did create us, planting in each of our hearts the seeds of love, of hope, of joy and all that we hold dear, yet it is Iblees who did curse us with sin and therefore, damnation and death. It is with the education born firstly of God and His Word, then secondly of man which will be able to fulfill His plan. Education born firstly of those virtues and morals built upon a foundation of truth and secondly upon the observances and thoughts of those great men and discoverers.
This is why We call upon the educators to heed Our words and begin to mold the curriculum, if lacking, into one born firstly of God’s Word, lest the next generations drive the societies of man away from God instead of to Him and therefore, away from salvation. It is His Word which delivers us and the inventions, beliefs, and machinations of man mean little before and with God. So, while not neglecting those ideas and innovations of the secular world, We too call upon all to never neglect the Word of God and implore them; nay, demand that they admonish those who do. Instruct our youth in God and all shall be worthy of salvation, for it is the next generation which is our foundation and a faithful youth shall make our restoration all the more enduring.

PONTIFICAL LETTER
ON THE MATTERS OF OREN AND SEDANSOLEMNLY PROMULGATED
BY HIS HOLINESS
HIGH PONTIFF IUDAES SECUNDUS
13th of the Tobias’s Bounty, 1812Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.
It is these past weeks which have brought concerning developments in regards to the matter of the chapter of the Supreme Order of Exalted Owyn, the Goats of Sedan, and the Holy Orenian Empire. While We had hoped to see a peaceful resolution to this matter, it seems that tensions brewing between Our Holy Sirs of the Supreme Order’s chapter and the Empire have forced Our hand in this discord among them. With that in mind, under clear conscience and through Our Authority as the Vicar of God, We do affirm that the oaths of the Goats of Sedan are hereby dissolved by the Pontificate of which did swear them in as bearers of the defense of the Mother Church, the reasoning being the necessity for neutrality and the maintaining of relations between the Church and Our Canonist Princes.
If conflict is to break out due to such discord, We first and foremost disavow and condemn such hostility. We call both parties involved to find peace among them if such feud is to turn into bloodshed, for God is peace and where there is the Lord, may there too be that joyous gift.

Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.
We read this letter with sorrow. To hear of such allegations against one of Our appointed Bishops brings Us a melancholy most foul, and yet, your dedication to justice reminds Us of such faith among the Hyspian flock. As the Bishopric remains to be a most prestigious, revered, and trusted seat within the Mother Church, We find such actions in this position, if true, most disappointing at least, absolutely reprehensible at worst (of which We lean towards the latter). This shall be investigated and a conclusion shall be drawn on the basis of these allegations against Bishop Leumont. We thank you for this steadfast mission to truth and shall consider and review all accusations most carefully in the coming days and weeks.

SECTION I
“The Necessity of Fraternity”
Throughout the storied history of the Canonist faith, a common value has been promoted year after year; the value of brotherhood, of fraternity in faith and more largely, fraternal love. It is that fraternal love which serves as the bond between the faithful, the uniting force which keeps those devoted to God forever devoted together. You may ask then; why is this important? We begin with the necessity for unity in that regard, reminding Our brothers and sisters of Auspice in which a united faithful defeats Iblees. It is not through one man but through the many that Iblees was killed and just as such a lesson is applied then, too should it be applied in the common day and age.
It is that unity which is important to the Canonist faith and so, in the same vein, so too is fraternity. As We said prior, fraternal love is the uniting force which binds the faithful together, and therefore, a fraternal faithful is one which is united and one assured victory in foretold times. It is that necessity of unity which makes fraternal love too a necessity, for it is collectively that we all must worship, not separately. Our voices must be called in praise to God, not as one voice but as many in unison. We must not worship alone but together. We must not tread this path in solitude but surrounded by those called to the same mission. However, that is not enough and without true brotherhood, unity is but a hollow thing. This is why We call you now to fraternity for fraternity is what binds all together and fraternity is what shall assure God’s victory in every age and era.

We offer Our brother, Father Alfred Ruthern, the best of wishes and Health and Pontifical Benediction in future endeavors.
SECTION V
It brings Us great dismay to hear of the news of Our mission’s failure in the Apostate Nation of Norland. While we had great hopes for the City of Leumont and further, peaceful conversion efforts in the wider dominion of Norland, with the conversion of Our primary diocese within their borders, this mission has come to a close. Along with such things as an inordinate tax on Our clergy as well as word of mercenaries prowling the roads of their dominion, and too, hostilities between the Church and Norland’s vassal states, We have seen it fit to rescind all ecclesiastical efforts in Norland and maintain the Diocese of Leumont as a titular title.
With Our ever persistent goal to see the unsaved one day among those in salvation, We maintain too all Diocesan titles encompassing Norland as titular ones, being the Diocese of Leumont which has been previously mentioned and too, the Patriarchate of Jorenus which possesses wider purview over the pagan nation. It is God who weeps at the sight of Norland, those who reject His Covenant which He did make with the Prophet, Exalted Horen. He who is wroth at the sight of those who reject His Word when they have been molded by it. Yet, while We do harken back to the words of Bl. High Pontiff Everard IV in the Encyclical Letter, Fide et Obedientia, “We the Pontificate do find that the cultists of the Norlandic people have condemned themselves an eternity of damnation by virtue of the wrath of Almighty GOD and His Exalted Prophets and saints.” We too remember these words from the Prophet Owyn, “Grace to thee and peace from our Lord GOD, the Most Merciful, Singular, and Omnipotent.”
So, while We may condemn and admonish those who reject His truth, the one truth, the only and singular truth, We too remember that He is the Lord, Most Merciful. With that, We have hope that one day, those apostates who abandon so foolishly that truth of which has ordained them at birth as the faithful eternally, shall see their folly; their mistake in breaking the Covenant with the Creator and that this shall bring them cause to devote themselves once more to the Lord Almighty. That is what We have, are, and shall pray for these days, weeks, years, and all time to come, for it is short of an eternity that they have to redeem but an eternity that they have to enjoy, only if they are to be what has been written in stone: Canonists.
SECTION VI
Francisco Cardinal Sutica
1768-1810Cardinal Francisco, a dear friend of Our’s has died by the hands of those he hoped to redeem. It was a month ago that we received word of His Eminence’s execution in the domain of the Apostate’s Hyspia by their King, the very man who the Cardinal had once treated as a brother. While the Cardinal’s death has not gone unpunished, for which We do so sincerely thank the involvement of Haense and their Koeng, His Majesty Heinrik II (@Rudi), We must still remember a virtuous man who devoted himself forever to a cause which would one day make him a martyr.
Cardinal Francisco was a man We met when We were but Manfried Cardinal St. Julia, a man who cared for Us in times of dire need, visited Us often as We recovered from injuries so commonly correlated with Our image. It was he, in his worry for Us, that We inferred was to be a great and caring shepherd to his flock. We were not wrong and the Cardinal lived out his life, to his final breath, in service to those who, in this priestly vocation, he had been called to guide and to defend. It is this spirit which truly embodied Our goal in Norland and in the Apostate’s Hyspia and We are saddened that it must end in this tragic manner. Yet, We forever retain in Our memory the service of Cardinal Francisco and pray that he may enjoy joyous eternity with the Lord God.
SECTION VII
As We witness a great expansion of the ranks of clergy in this holy institution, the necessity for record keeping becomes ever more apparent. With this in mind, We call a sacerdotal census to take place for this coming year of 1811 so as to truly assess the Church’s numbers. The sacerdotal census will be released in the coming days and We expect the participation of every ordained man. In the past, the consequence for not participating in the census has been the defrocking of that cleric absent in the Church’s records. This shall not be continued in this sacerdotal census, however, the Priest absent in Our records shall not be recognized by this Pontificate to be able to participate in such things as Ecumenical Councils, Diets, and so on if they are called.
SECTION VIII
In the past months, a certain scandal involving the unions of the Imperial Family has been brought to Our attention. In this, We worried for those involved and immediately sought audience with Our Canonist Prince, His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Joseph II, to hear answers on this predicament. While We were concerned, those worries soon disappeared as We were told of Lord Peter d’Arkent’s consent to the union by the Lord, Peter himself and too, the situation of the union involving Lady Margaux and Prince Robert was clarified by the Emperor who stated it was but an offer, not a forced matter.
As the predicament has been explained to Us, We have deemed it of no issue to affirm the marriage. Therefore, We have permitted the union between Peter d’Arkent and Josephine Augusta, officiating it Ourselves, and too shall permit the offered union if express consent is given, in person, by the pair involved. With this in mind, We are happy to see this resolved and offer Our good will and prayers to the newly weds.
SECTION IX
It has been the Order of Bl. Wigbrecht which has, throughout many years, served the Church, both clergy and lay faithful devotedly; forever steadfast in their mission. With the return of His Eminence Bram many a year ago, he has now sought to revive the monastic order of which he had led. It is their ranks, filled with such men as His Eminence, as Cardinal Jorenus, and many others, which will Us to share in this necessity. Therefore, We affirm the Order of Bl. Wigbrecht, to remain under no authority within or outside the Church but the High Pontiff and their Superior General. We too affirm their Rule and pray that in this sanctioning of their order, they may continue their service in the name of God, forever keeping at heart the Canonist ideals of Bl. Wigbrecht.
SECTION X
Through Our Apostolic Authority in the Pontificate, We do affirm these venerations.
VENERABLE FATHER JAVIER
Made Venerable for his faithful service to God and the lay faithful, showing great dedication in his vocation as a Priest of the Church of the Canon.VENERABLE FATHER JAGO BROWNFOLK

ULTIMUM PRODITIONE
THE ULTIMATE BETRAYAL
On the Matter of What Was Intended By God Upon Creation,
and the Corruption Thereof by the Denier, Iblees.
Written and Published by Father Ernst,
From the Abbey of Saint Robert of Metz.
The 10th of Sigismund's End, 1829.
“And I am the Lord GOD without peer,
and My joys are the holy joys,
and My comfort is the virtuous comfort,
and all the blessings of the Virtue shall fall
before the righteous who do not indulge.”
(Virtue 3:10)
Many aeons ago, before man walked the world, there was nothing but God (Gospel 1:2). Yet by His will, the planes were formed and said planes partitioned in three, those being the Seven Skies, the world, and the Void. It was the plane betwixt the Skies and Void, the world, which was God’s primary focus and so He commanded the Aenguls and the Daemons to shape the world as He deemed fit, the Immortals proceeding to fill the seas with their waters, the deserts with their sands, the plains with their flowers, and all the world with the treasures which God invested it. It was as God intended, yet alas was not to last as Iblees, an ant before the Mountain (Virtue 7:7) was nevertheless prideful and wished to be equal to God, traversing that forbidden by the Lord he had forsaken: the Void. In so doing did he corrupt the world and all that would inhabit it.
It is Iblees who is, in essence, the progenitor of sin, having cursed all of the descendants, of past and of present, to be tempted by acts contrary to His design, “And now my touch is the touch of the Void, and it is with all things in your creation.” (Gospel 1:24) It is that very fact which is the basis for this Thesis on what sin truly is, being the intention of God corrupted into perversions of nefarious aim, perversions of which God condemns. Quite plainly is this so, for the Denier is no creator, and therefore his sin is the adulteration of the treasures of God which He did endow with the world, these temptations devised of for the sole purpose of begetting new betrayers, deceived by his ugly hand as the encampment of Exalted Horen was deceived by Saul in those days of yore.
Perhaps the most prominent example of this fact is the act of procreation, bestowed unto the descendants so that they may love, raise and teach children who will walk the same path as they, that of God. This, the forming of Canonist families, was truly the intent of the Lord and is not without instruction, “So I am the Most High, and in pursuit of My Virtue, I bid my faithful this: You shall not lie with your kin, nor those of other tribes, and none shall lie together but in holy union.” (Virtue 3:9) Yet, we must ask; why is this instruction necessary? God’s intentions most certainly are of the purest sort, however the Denier’s touch is of the Void and it is with all of His Creation. By way of his evil have a multitude of temptations sprouted from that most blessed act, temptations which have driven many to languish in debauched sin. The Lord has instructed us to never lie with our kin, yet men lie with those of their own blood. He has commanded us to never lie with those of other tribes, yet humans lie with elves and orcs with dwarves. He has bid for men to lie with women only when bonded by matrimony, yet men fornicate with women nevertheless. The Lord God has given us such instruction so that we may know His intent in a world mired by Iblees's influence.
There are too others. Among His natural treasures are those that we consume, such as alcohol. It was God who did invest the world with it’s wines and brandy, gifts to alleviate the toils of men in their leisure. Yet, He too taught us to take it with temperance; to enjoy, yet not to indulge, “And you shall take them carefully, and shall not become a creature of worldly indulgence as the beasts of the earth.” (Virtue 3:8). However, for the touch of the Void is with all of His Creation, there are men who are tempted to let their cup overflow and transformed into drunkards, chained to their sin as are all men who indulge.
Too, is their humility, “the root of all other virtues” as said Blessed Pius of Sutica. Elucidated upon by the most wise Armiger, Edmund Brunswick Olivier von Manstein, in his recent publication “On Humility”, he stated most wisely that whilst true humility is based on truth, there are too distortions of humility which are born of deceit. The Lord God has deemed the humble man a righteous man; one who recognizes his gifts (charm, intelligence, handsomeness, etc) yet knows them as what they are: gifts from God. However, there are too men who partake in the humility of deceit; men who, despite having received great gifts from God, sequester them in their self-hate and deem themselves worthless and absent of those grants of the Lord. It is these men who despair and fall to a “dangerous form of pride” as the Armiger said.
Too did God call us to work diligently, for by way of our toiling in the fields and in the mines and in the shops do we grow closer to Him. However, as said prior, the Lord God has granted His faithful many pleasures of the world of which we may enjoy in leisure, and while it is the virtuous man who takes leisure itself with temperance (a comfort before he soon returns to his labors), there are other men who fall to sloth. These men neglect their work and in so doing, they neglect God, “So I am the Most High, and in pursuit of My Virtue, I bid my faithful this: You shall not be idle, nor forget your duties in favor of sloth.” (Virtue 4:8) They lay still on His Path due to their laziness, for verily, it is God who said this on our labors, “For I have blessed you with My miracle of creation, and you shall draw nearer to My throne by your labors.” (Virtue 4:6) Laid plain to see is work’s purpose, for it is our most vital mission to tread the Path of virtue (Virtue 1:9), and if we nary draw nearer to His throne, most surely do we not walk the Path.
Whilst certainly there are many more examples, surely is the true nature of sin plain to see in those few alone. Finally, we ask why. Why is this understanding of sin so very important? In this modern era, it has become routine for us faithful to regard sin as simply a bad act, and while this is true, it is nevertheless dangerous to know sin by our worldly purview alone. From our worldly view, the term “bad act” can too be used to describe anything from theft to assault (in the context of criminal offense). While there is difference in severity and in penalty, they are nevertheless confined to worldly severity and worldly consequence. A crime will be punished before a court of peers, while the judge of sin is God. Sin is not merely a crime but a deed contrary to His will and an act which levies inconceivable consequence. We can no longer confine sin to the act itself, for such things as intemperance are not merely intemperance but a betrayal of God. We must know it as what it is; the perversion of God’s intent by the Betrayer.
This understanding enlightens the masses to the very reason why we abhor sin, for in knowing sin in truth, we know sin as forsaking all that is good and holy, the Almighty Lord, and while we can try to excuse intemperance and sloth and pride, no man can excuse the treachery of the sinner which is the machination of the Enemy. We must, with tooth and nail, fight sin with all our hearts, seeking ablution at every turn, at all times knowing virtue as God’s intent and therefore, what is good for all. We must do this faithfully and if so, verily will we be one with the Lord, lest when we meet our judgement, our face be that of Iblees and we find only despair in that place farthest from Him.
Forever Faithful,
Father Ernst
