if you dont want big crp, dont go looking for it. Raiding a city should have consequences in RP, you automatically welcome a big defensive reaction in RP if you go attacking city squares. I hate the argument that "dark mages wouldnt have a chance otherwise!" for CRP Lock
CRP Lock was introduced to protect smaller and DISCREET attacks from forming into a giant battle. CRP lock was NOT introduced to strangle conflict and force encounters to be to the attackers advantage in massive raids

Goofy for Satin to get banned (unless there was more that we don't know), but it was just as goofy for him to commit low tier online vigilantism instead of reading a book or literally anything else to improve himself than wasting his time over "hehe wheel person".

@JentosYeah my bad to suggest that Satinkira spend his time doing something more productive, there was 100% more than a single 'joke' to have been made for moderation to decide to ban him, right or wrong, there was infinitely better ways for Satin to spend his time and he wouldn't have been banned over something menial. The only reason I felt compelled to say anything isn't because I'm mad or anything, but because I walked that, I was pissed due to situation that happened, so I quit the server for about two years, read books, learned some Java, built a server box, as that was a better use of my time than trying to be a passive aggressive troll, even if it would have been considered justified.

i dont think anything the server could 'do' could ever 'increase trust' given the sheer amount of scandalous activity that happens bi-daily on this horrendous community, other than 'shut down out of protection for our users'

I think more so the point is that LotC's biggest struggles is the relationship between staff and players, it often drives players to resort to a crude form of 'online vigilantism' to protect the community, without little regard to the consequences of doing such. The other matter is I have seen or heard of situations which just gives myself and other players little faith in the server, there is always talk about how "we will do better", or washing away accountability because it was that one staff member that actually did the abuse or some other excuse. Never really any proper owning up to the mistakes and laying out a plan of action for the players to see and give input into and being able to keep staff accountable to the changes that have been committed to. There is more I could add but not really suited to a status reply.

@UnwillinglyI feel like that is always the story with things, almost seems like it goes from one extreme to the next, rather than doing what should be done and make a solution that balances the ability for players to make new places and have some checks in place to prevent everyone and their mother making a Realm.

Imagine being an assistant nurse in European healthcare and they disqualify you from WCs because you would not log on under dead hours for AFK walking around.
And you also do not have time to enjoy proper RP because every event is EST-centric, the only way is to sacrifice your sleep schedule... what a joke.
