Rachel is the daughter of two serfs from the Empire of Renatus and although they were poor, they were able to get by on the few minas their local lord paid them with. Rachel was tired of this existence though and sought to make herself into something instead of becoming a serf like her mother. Rachel ventured to Ves and began working as a barmaid day and night. She saved up a lot of gold coins from the tips she would receive from old men and bought a small black dog named Doby. Doby died in her inn room one night while Rachael was away and all her money was stolen. Left with nothing again, she plans to start fresh once more and save her money. Rachel buried her dog and went to look for better paying work.
