Alpha And Omega

--Just a disclaimer-- I played during both Aegis and Asulon, had to take a hiatus do to life moving fast. Feels good to be able to return home. I am going to write this application in three seperate formats. One shall be in depth description of appearance. One shall be a basic layout of her past and her current mentality, and the final will be a roleplayed scenario to express In Character whom my character is. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing.  Also, I will be editing the final skin for use, just using as a placeholder so I can get this application through. --With all that said, let it begin-- *(Further down it mentions 'intimates' that is a more propper saying for undergarments, felt it was neccesary to use that wording instead.)* In Depth Appearance. Kalina Linwelin stays true to her races core beliefs. Her body, and its coverings directly reflect her nature. Tattoos cover her forearms, shoulders, upper back, stomach, and what is exposed of her thighs and calves. The tattoos seem to curl and distort into the shapes of roots, vines, and various other flora (Flowers of various kinds can be seen as well.) The woman's light mocha colored skin would seem silky smooth, each curve of her physique accenting the next. It would be hard to spot any blemishes, however up close one could notice that various scars would be covered up by the dark ink of the tattoo, strategically placed to hide the imperfections.  Her clothing hardly differed from the raw beauty she has perfected over the years. Silken robes adorned with jeweled flowers covered her body, the silver material only adding to the features underneath. The *intimates* below seemed to flow nicely with the dress. The back portion of the dress exposed part of her back and shoulders, showing off her tattoos. Her arms were of the same design, mint green silk forming vines which originated from her bosom flowed freely over the silver underneath, wrapping around her arms and ending in nice mixed fabric gloves. White and Green with a soft leather grip. The arms were exposed more so than the rest of the dress, showing off her tattoos as well. The rest of the dress that went down over her lower half was of the same quality, not straying from the designs above. It ended just above the tops of her feet; which of course were covered by padded slippers. Her hair was curled at the tips, flowing both forward over her shoulders and backwards, quite lengthy. The dark brown/red color accenting her skin and outfit quite well. A silver and green jeweled broach sat on the side of her head, holding some hair back from her left eye. The color of the main gem would be emerald green, much like the colors of her own eyes. Basic OOC Background Information -Born in the year 1521 in Laureh'lin (Vailor) to her veteran father Elrond Linwelin and her seamstress mother Valerica Linwelin.  -Spent her time mainly with her mother as her father was off protecting their home Kingdom of Malin.  -She became quite the seamstress with the help of her mother. However she also made time for her father when he was around, learning the basics of their culture. Hunting, fishing, gatherin, and survival out in the wild.  -By 1571 Kalina was not considered entering into adulthood, but thus her time on Vailor was cut short. With news of the departur from the lands, Elrond, Valerica and Kalina all set off with the remaining peoples, hoping to find new lands.  -By 1571 they arrive in the lands of Axios, naturally they flocked to the the land of their own once settled, the city of Linandria within the dominion of Malin.  -By now the year would be 1610. By now Kalina would have been 89 years old. He adulthood coming along nicely. Her father would not be retired from the military, resting at home. Kalina continued to work with her mother and supply the three with steady minas until 1641. -The siege or Vjorhelm brought pain to many. Elrond was called back into action, to fight again norland. This was one battle he does not return from. -The next years were filled with pain and sorrow for the now remaining two. Deciding to follow along with their brothers and sisters they left their home, in search of new lands to call home.  -Enter Atlas, many years down the road and many great battles led Kalina and her elderly mother to Caras Eldar, the capital of the Dominion of Malin.  -1684 Present Day. Kalina is 163 years old, her mother having passed a few years back. She decided to set out on her own, explore the various lands that were around. Forging her own destiny.  IC Roleplay Posting. (this is all in their native tongue) Valerica: "Shhh.... my dear... shhh... it's alright. Wipe your tears." *The elderly Elven lady takes in a shaky breath, offering a weak but reassuring smile to Kalina.* "Do not cry for me my love... I am not in pain... I am not departing against my will... You have given me so much to be grateful for.." Kalina: *Tears continue to roll down the Elven woman's cheek, her eye lids opened as she stared down at her mother. Valerica's hand would soon move up to rest on Kalina's cheek, her own hand moving to rest atop it immediately* "M-mother... You... you cant leave... not now.... I still need you... I-.... I feel so lost..." *Another shaky sigh followed by a soft whimper escapes Kalina's lips, not daring to blink as she didn't want to miss even a second.* Valerica: "Darling... You have made me so proud... the woman you have become, even during the hard times we have faced... you stayed strong. Your father would be so proud... so very proud.." *Valerica move's her hand down slowly from Kalina's cheek, gently resting it on her chest now* "I will always be here... Both me and your father. We will always be watching over you... Through the trees... the grass... the flowers... We will be everywhere you will be... You are not lost dear... you are confused... angry... sad... But do not be. The emotions will pass on, and once they do... you will flourish. Like a flower after a rainstorm, you may be held down and heavy... but once you dry up you will be better than ever... brand new. Your path is your own now... no one can choose it for you, no one can force you to be something you do not want to be. No one will take ever be able to take the 'Kalina' out of Kalina.... You my dear are one of a kind......." Kalina: *Kalina sniffles more and lowers her head, nodding gently before lowering herself down to rest herself close to her mother; the hand previously on top of Valerica's now interlocking with her own. Her breathing calming softly as she nestled into the nape of her mothers neck, keeping herself close; she does not say a word.* Valerica: "When I depart... I shall greet Cerridwen... as your father greeted Cernunnos... You have nothing to fear Kalina... everything is going to be alright..." *The elderly womans breathing gets a bit more quiet, her chest barely moving up and down anymore. Her eyes closed, lips curled into a gentle smile as she cuddled back up against her daughter.* "Good...night my precious Kalina... I.... love you...." *A sole tear gently beads down from the corner of Valerica's left eye, running down her cheek softly. her chest raising up before lowering. A single long breath escaping her. Her chest laying idle now.* Kalina: *Kalina whimpers and shakes softly as she feels her mother depart, her crying continuing as she held herself close; not daring to let go.* "G-good... n... night M-Mother... I w-will see you w-when the sun s-shines... a.... again..." End. Ending note, Elves are graced with immortality, however with my understanding; they can perish from grief and weariness. Valerica was a pure Elf, but she had her woes. I will be doing a more in depth post regarding the backstory of my Character if/when I am accepted, and placing it in the forums.
