The Commonwealth of Petra opens its medical doors once again, under the leadership of the new Surgeon General, Clementine Amadea.
Over the years of Petra, the clinic dealt with simple things such as deep cuts to life-threatening difficulties. Clementine Amadea wants to bring Petra into the present with her current-styles of medicine with a mixture of Alchemy.
With this new leadership, new positions and levels will be implemented to ensure that Petra’s medical clinic advances as far as it can.
Surgeon General:
Head of the clinic/hospital, first in the chain of command. Final seal of approval for exams, oversees the teachings of Herb, medicine and battle field care. In charge of palace care and clinic of the Arch-Duchess and Duke. Holds positions till resignation or death. Will train deputy surgeon in preparation for the position for any given point
Deputy Surgeon:
Second in command to the Surgeon General. In charge of assisting in teaching classes with. Appointed upon the Surgeon general's approval. This position is bestowed upon the future surgeon general and will have personal lessons with the Surgeon general themself to prepare for the positions at any given time. The position is to be held as the right hand man of the Surgeon general.
Herb Specialist:
Collection of herbs and leading expeditions of collection. Keeps ledger of herbs location and stock, creating and administering medicine created in the herb lab. A herb specialist is expected to know what herbs are and keep note of any new herbs found on expeditions and single travel. Having knowledge of herbal medicines and of how to create them. Approved by the Surgeon General's approval. Holding casual training for the Sons of Petra alongside the higher ranks
Herb Apprentice:
Student under a herb specialist’s care. Must be approved for exam by herb specialist This student will undergo a three - four saints day training and must complete the following to be appointed to Herb Specialist:
4 Herb collection expeditions
2 Successful herbal medicines (Successful descriptions)
2 herbal lesson
Passing the herb exam administered by the Surgeon/deputy surgeon general
Upon passing the Herb exam the student will be appointed to Herb Specialist and receive certification in said field.
Alchemy Specialist:
Knowing the natural philosophy of alchemy from its core of science. Symbols and signs, botany and reagents and processing, and potioncraft need to be mastered skills. Need to be at least Tier Three to create the more powerful potions to assist in the medical atmosphere. Knows the critical needs for identification of signs and symbols before the extraction process while understanding the importance of the precise mixing. Alchemy Specialists must make potions on a regular basis for the clinic such as Contact Purifier and Hemo Flow to assist the other surgeons.
Alchemy Apprentice:
Student under the guidance of the Alchemy Specialist. Needs to be willing to work long hours to understand and grasp the concept of alchemy. Needs to start understanding the material alphabet. Will do herb runs alongside the Alchemy Specialist. Alchemy Apprentices will level up once their teachers allow it, as well when they are Tier Three.
Medic Specialist:
Knowledge of caring for wounds, colds, amputations and childbirth. This position must have the knowledge of Medicines and their uses including the individual herbs for such practices. Having priority to treat patients unless cases are extreme and call for other specialists. In charge of the rooms and checking on patients and securing they are well to be discharged under approval. If cases prove to be more serious they will need approval from the surgeon general or deputy surgeon. Having the responsibility to teach Medic apprentices and holding casual training for the Sons of Petra alongside the higher ranks.
Battle Medic:
Someone with basic training of how to care for wounds such as cuts, arrows in arm etc as well as basic knowledge on herbs and their uses. For further training on how to work with amputations and other contact the Surgeon general or Deputy for further instructions.
Medic Apprentice:
A student under the instruction of a medic specialist or higher ranking doctor. Undergoing training to become either a Battle medic or Medic Specialist. With this you will need a Three to four saints day training as well as undergo a Medical exam.
2 successful lessons on medicine and the usage
2 successful suturing lessons on practice subject (dummies)
1 on false on field setting training
Basic Amputation training
(Medic Specialist) In hospital setting training
(Medic Specialist) Amputation training
Upon succeeding these three requirements you will be tested on knowledge then with passing you shall be granted certification in either Battle medic or Medic specialist.
All Apprentices and specialists will be equipped with medical kits, Suturing kit and basic herbs and medicines needed. Loss of any of these items report to the Surgeon general or Deputy for further instruction or replacements
