  1. "Even mea children aren't this bad." Jan Otto Kortrevich said, slowly realizing how terrible of a parent he actually is.
  2. THE LAST STUDY A final gaze cast upon the Ashen Folk Silence has plagued our kin, dear reader. Silence is all the Mali’ker know now, and even I am guilty of it. The Ashen Folk have always had the tendency to remain secluded and hidden, minding their own business and not bothering themselves with the politics of foreign states. After all, they never had the best interest in mind for our most blessed people. This seclusion however does not always work in our favour. What use is a state for the Ashen Folk if the Ashen Folk themselves do not know of its existence? The dream of Renelia is one that has long passed, our people once again proving themselves to be unworthy of a uniting state. The silence I spoke of has proven itself counter-productive for the longevity of the Mali’ker state. The Stygian Hollow, a state founded by the bloodlines of Velulaei being one such example. It is not only them that further encourage the schism of the Ashen Folk, however. Curious times are upon us dear reader, for the heretical lines that spawned out of the Onyx Sanctum have solidified their grip over The Domain of Vortice. The Jusmia Clan, a collective of Uruk worshipping mutts have managed to take control of an already heretical state. Their goal is not to create a safe haven for the Dark Elves however, but merely to push their own blasphemous agenda’s for their personal gain. If anything, this has proven itself to be a wasted opportunity to challenge the Hollow and its former hegemony of our kin. We find ourselves in a point in time where a state with no competition wasted all of its chances to finally bring our people together. A true shame, but a curiosity at the same time. We have seen Dark Elven states rise and fall in the past, but no others have made attempts to rise up. A collective finds themselves within what little remains of the Hollow, and another group within the Empire. Neither of them walk the path the Forebears laid out for us, and neither of them care about the greater good and future of our kin. It is with great contempt that I look upon those I gave the right to carry the ‘Asath name. I, Alyndel Yl’Asath, speaker of Velulaei and rightful head of the Yl’Asath bloodline do declare the following: That Clan Velu’Asath is dissolved fully, splitting back into the two bloodlines they split from. That only my own children may continue to carry the Yl’Asath name. The descendants of Lorvan Yl’Asath are henceforth illegitimate, so that the Yl’Asath name may be secured under the Speaker alone. That anyone still bearing the Velu’Asath name shall be seen as a traitor to the Forebears and their Speaker. That anyone still bearing the Yl’Asath name, when not of the line of Alyndel shall be seen as a traitor to the Forebears and their Speaker. May you all stay true to the words of the Speaker, so that the Forebears will not look down upon you with shame. Let us all hope and pray that a great Uniter will rise up, and not leave our people in disarray and degeneracy any longer. Let us hope that the dream of Renelia is not lost for all eternity, and that a Mali’ker pure of body and soul will redeem us all. Signed Alyndel Yl’Asath, the Speaker of Velulaei
  3. Jan Otto Kortrevich gives his ambassador a thumbs up, feeling glad knowing his vote ended up with the right candidate!
  4. Jan Otto Kortrevich beamed with joy, preparing himself to attend the coronation of his youngest sister!
  5. Jan Otto Kortrevich, holed up in the Jerovitz library smiled as he passed the missive to his wife. "Look Tatiana, Lady Vyronov's nie longer Koenas. It's about time, it all got to her head. A koenas treating the Haeseni Peers poorly is niet deserving of the respect of those same Peers. Maybe if she actually left the Prikaz more often she wouldn't have ended up like....this." @Juli
  6. Jan Otto Kortrevich stumbled upon the invitation purely on accident, as he was on his way to attend his sister's wedding. "Huh, interesting. Ea suppose it would be a shame to miss out on such an event."
  7. "Because a rally matters so much when all they do is lock themselves up in Reinmar. Perhaps this should be a reminder that vyr attitude towards vyr peers, along with vyr contributions are what matter here. If vy aided the Kongzem more than House Baruch, then vy would have kepy vyr Duchy." Jan Otto Kortrevich remarked, staring at the missive with an amused smirk. "Quality over quantity!"
  8. Jan Otto Kortrevich can't help but wonder why this took place in Aurveldt.
  9. "And this Viktoriya, is why ea asked vy to take notes." Jan Otto Kortrevich said to his daughter, as they were once again holed up in the Jerovitz library. A quiet room, where on the occasion one of Jan's many toddlers would storm in either way. "Maybe we can let Lord Baruch know, yam sure he would be interested in hearing of this development!"
  10. Jan Otto Kortrevich knew the day would eventually come, he could not delay it either way. As excited as he was for the wedding of his sister, a sense of dread overwhelmed him all the same. He sat himself down in his study, a place where had been holed up quite frequently as of late. This time it was not with any of children however. He would have to let go eventually, just like had with Amelya. He had faith in Sigismund, but the prospect of having to see his sister leave Jerovitz proved a great burden on the Count. He took his pen and began writing one final letter to his lauvas, and to Sigismund.
  11. "It seems this new Monarch lacks diplomatic competency...how odd!" Said a certain Haeseni Lord, chuckling to himself.
  12. I've seen you grow from a CT I hated with a burning passion and an immature bandit pugsier to a person who cares a great deal about his writing and the rp narrative he provides. It's been an absolute pleasure having you around Noz, lotc is losing a much loved member of its community. You have my discord, and I'm always happy for a chat. Take care, enjoy your freedom
  13. Jan Otto Kortrevich began to look over various letters he had exchanged with the previous Norlandic diplomat, and the ones he had sent the King himself. "Heh. Perhaps they shouldn't have gone back on the treaty they were nearly begging us for after all. How odd of them to refuse to reply to terms for something they came up with." He mused as he was seated within his study. "Take notes, Viktoriya!" Jan said to his daughter, who one day aspired to be a diplomat just like him!
  14. This is starting to feel like a throwback to Arcas and I don't like it

  15. Jan Otto Kortrevich, still bedridden but recovering had been informed of the recent abdication by his most loyal manservant Tuvya of Jerovitz. "Dobry, it's about time. Ea was worried for the future of House Ludovar. Be sure to congratulate the new Vikomit for eam! Ea have high hopes for him and the future of the family."
  16. Jan Otto Kortrevich, still bedridden would send word to the Lord Speaker via his most loyal manservan, Tuvya of Jerovitz. "I will follow along with Herzen Baruch, can show my support to Lord Mondblume. I vote aye on his nomination for Lord Handler." Signed Jan Otto Kortrevich, Count of Jerovitz
  17. A certain, only slightly radical 'ker stumbles upon the missive. There he stood, face to face with a name he had hoped to never see again. "Jusmia? The mutts are out writing public letters again? Whoever this Vulmir might be, he did well insulting the heretical beliefs of these Mali'Uruk. They are nothing but traitors to the Ashen Folk, whatever honor this one speaks of I have never seen in my life." After having made his point only to himself, Alyndel Yl'Asath folded up the missive, as he decided to keep it on him.
  18. It's actually my one talent so I'll gladly continue
  19. Oblivious to the world and the death of his mamej, Grigoryi Demitrius was born! The baby Ruthern would face a life of hardships, and would perhaps be blamed for the death of his mother. It did not matter much, as in true newborn style, the first thing he decided to do was cry!
  20. The first part moved the issue, but did not fully fix it. I'm not here trying to discredit the work you guys have done. I'm simply stating that the retetion numbers improved by a small margin, and while it most likely can be attributed to all the previous measures you mentioned they did not drastically improve things. Instead, the time people quit was moved by a week, basically. As I said before, the things cteam are improving on are not the only part of the problem, and there are a lot of issues that lie far beyond anything the Cteam can do. The player retention plugin is a project that Kowaman himself was assigned to, and I recall a post being made that there was progress on it. I'm again, not here to discredit anyone, as you guys are putting in the work and I appreciate that. I'm just not fully agreeing with the way the results are being portrayed. I just see a lot of PR for results that mean far less than they are made out to be. They're a start and a start that should be appreciated, but just also one that has a lot of factors to it that you can't easily pin down.
