Whohoo! Christmas theme is always lovely. 🥰

I am sorry to inform you, but if you stay on the CT long enough your ratio will be doomed forever. It's the sacrifice one makes.
Unless you force applicants to upvote your application responses.😉2 -

I am biased in this name pick. @KaiserJacobIItheir option is obviously the best. Can't argue with that. But it apprently is too long, so CTBestTeam works just fine as well. 😉

I think the current reason why wandering souls can’t see any roleplay channels is because of how the luckperms are set for wandering souls
Absolutely nothing to do with perms. The reason wondering souls can't see roleplay chats, is because people bought alt accounts just to spy on roleplay using a wondering soul account.

What is the most memorable RP experience you have ever taken part in?
Hmm, that's a tough one, but I think that might be witnessing an IRP coup on Haelun'or months ago. I was a council member at the time, only for like 4 IRL days yet but okay. And then during a meeting, this massive group of people came in, fully armed, and they did an attempted coup. There were moderators and all to oversee it, and the roleplay surrounding it was pretty cool to go through. Even though the entire council was couped, I still enjoyed the roleplay.

My biggest regret is also the thing I am most proud of. I sometimes regret joining staff and seeing the server from the staff side instead of the player side, sometimes I wish I just always had stayed a player. However, on the other hand, I never wanted to miss my amazing time on staff, the close friends I made along the way, the work we did, how we helped the server, that is what I am most proud of. Being part of a team, a family, and go into the fight together no matter what. And I am happy and proud of the team when I see them today, full of passion and eager to work.

Hello there! I have been working on a little personal project as of late and it turned out I finished just on time for the anniversary weekend of the server. So over the past two years, Creative Contests have taken place, run by the Community Team. The first one being the Battle of the Arts in June 2019. Now for the feel of nostalgia I collected most submissions to all these art contests for the past two years and put them all together, forming our very own Creative Archive. I hope some of you might enjoy seeing or reading the amazing work produced by the creative minds of our very own community. I can say that at least I did enjoy creating the archive and seeing all the things the community created. I am curious to hear which work is your personal favorite.
With that being said all that is left for me to say is I hope you enjoy it, thoughts, comments, and opinions can be dropped on this post or in my DM's.https://sites.google.com/view/lotcs-creative-archive/home
Have a lovely day.

10 years -sweats- You people are crazy. It's crazy. I've only been here for 2 of them, but looking back at screenshots from 2 years ago I already am caught with nostalgia, I can not imagine how it feels for the people who have been here for the whole ten years. Let's hope I can stick around and see the next 10 years happen in person. Because let's be real, this server is here to stay. No matter what, it always went on.

Only offering positive critique here, no harsh judgement.
Thank you for sharing! Critique brought in a good way is always a way for us to help others improve.
20 hours ago, Sorcerio said:Firstly, do you guys have statistics for the number of retained accepted players yet? If so, that would be a great thing to add to these monthly posts. Maybe do something like adding the player retention from the previous month, etc.
Not yet, the systems have not been coded/inplemented yet due to the massive workload of the Tech Team. However I migth figure something out for that to bridge the time gap.
20 hours ago, Sorcerio said:Secondly, I noted a large percentage of apps being denied right off the bat. While I understand that there is a reputation to uphold concerning quality and criteria to be met, perhaps it would be best if we tried to amend the reason for why so many apps are being poorly made and denied? Is it because of vague instructions, lack of comprehension, etc.? I think if we address this, and ideally correct it, I believe there will be significant improvement, or at least an otherwise reasonable understanding as to why so many are failing acceptance.
Alrighty, sio yes the past months we have noticed a significant increase in denied applications. However all of those where legitimately denied. We act as the gatekeepers of the server and so server criteria and quality needs to be met in order to be accepted, and your appliction must show at least a reasonable amount of effort to be classified as 'Pending.' Applications that need too much on it changed to meet criteria are denied right away since there is so much wrong with it they basicly need to make a whole new application. As for the reason in plumbering app quality I am not sure, for anything that is vague or misunderstood a lot in the application form a admin proposal has been sended out to get it updated.

COMMUNITY TEAM UPDATE LOG
MARCH 2021
INTRODUCTION
Hello all! Here is your monthly update on what the Community Team has been doing as of late. In the past month we have been through our staff applications once again and selected five individuals to strengthen our team. We saw a total of 28 applications for the Community Team and so it was a tough call, made after hours of discussing. Furthermore our roster is now strengthened again and we are rolling out some more projects.
MARCH DATA
- Overview -
This month, we saw a total of 416 apps handled, with 166 new players welcomed onto LotC. With an accepted/denied ratio that is some below 40/60. Overall it’s been a ride once again and we hope to move forward in this direction throughout April. Unfortunately there seems to be a little lowering in application numbers and so the magical 500 number has not been reached yet. Let's see what the next month brings us.

Wiki Update
Howdy everyone! During the previous month, the Wiki Caretakers continued to work on maintaining, updating, and adding additional things to the Wiki. As always, we believe that the Wiki is a valuable source, and we wish that players can reference it often as a reliable source of information. If you wish to contribute to the Wiki or have any questions or concerns about the Wiki then please feel free to contact one of the Wiki Caretakers. The current Wiki Caretakers are @HogoBojo & @JokerLow. To find out what each member has been up to during this month then check below for the individual update of each Caretaker.
During this month I worked on updating out of date pages and improving pages with weird or hard to navigate formatting. One page which I believe that an update was overdue was the homepage. So I spent a considerable amount of time this month working on the new sleek redesign. The homepage is the first thing that users see when navigating to the Wiki so I believe that it is important to make a good impression. My primary focus for the redesign was that I wished for it to look more appealing and to not overwhelm the user with excessive information being listed while also listing the necessary important information. This led me to categorize everything into sections and linking some of the information to other pages instead of displaying it on the home page. That concludes my update for this month. If you'd like an account set up to help contribute then you can request one in the LotC Discord. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Wiki then please feel free to send me a message on Discord: @HogoBojo#0001.
March was a month filled with changes, for the good future of the wiki, alongside with the biggest addition to the server wiki's. This month I've focused more on the players and community, so it is in my plans to begin recruiting Wiki Helpers to aid the wiki in its efforts to be up-to-date with the current server times and lore. Me and my Wiki Helpers are beginning with updating old magic lore, as well as removing out-dated magic lore from the wiki. It is a first big step into the soon future of what the wiki will be, a reliable and way easier source of information for the players. Besides that, I am happy to announce that one of my admin proposals has been accepted, that being the approval of the LOTC Community Involvement discord server. On it, players will stay in touch directly with not only the Wiki Caretakers, but with the Community Team and Moderation Team. It is the first step into my agenda to turn the wiki into a more efficient place. If anyone wishes to discuss with me wiki matters, my dms are open. JokerLow#6666
Community Involvement Discord - All Community Staff
So as Jokerlow touched briefly earlier we now have a Community Involvement discord. This will be a cooperative discord for the Community Team, Wiki Team and the Moderation Team. For the community section of the discord there will also be a part for nation representatives. Each nation interested has delivered one person to represent their nation towards the Community Team. This will include receiving app data regarding their settlement (race), receiving inquiries from the CT such as open family guide help, common character tropes, and more. Mainly maintaining an advising position towards the application process of Lord of the Craft. There is room for more data to share with them on the road, taking real time events into credit. For suggestions or questions on this, please DM me! To join the discord, follow this link: https://discord.gg/gDwBw95zTM
Community Meetings - @snoopie12
As it stands right now there will be another Community wide meeting happening in May, making use of Discord’s new channel called ‘Stage Channel.’ This makes these meetings more interactive and participants can request to speak in order to express possible concerns, ask questions or contribute to the topic. So keep an eye out for that one, and I hope to see you all there!
APRIL’S DIRECTION
Last month was about continuing to improve the team and roll out some more projects. In this process we regrouped under new management and brought in some new members.
Last Month’s Goals
Our goals for March where to keep improving the team and roll out some more projects.
This Month’s Goals
1. Clear out the new player application pages by spreading out apps more between team members.
2. Restructuring the team to one that can hold the workload and truely be there for the community. If you have any questions or comments about the direction that we are going in, feel free to leave a comment down below or reach out to a team member.
