Yarmo grew up in Kaz'Ulrah along with the other dwarves there. He was son of a merchant, and always wanted to become rich just like him. His mother was a shield maiden and would often beg him to become a warrior like her due to his great arm length. He refused, happy to instead travel the land with his father. One day, when they were ambushed by bandits, his father told him to run, and he never saw him again. He barely managed to get to a city, and cursed his weakness cowardliness. His mother became heart broken and would not pick up the blade again, so he went and joined the guard force. Here, he proved himself quickly, but never took a rank promotion. He was happy where he was and slowly he overcame his cowardice. He swore to be as brave as the Kings of Urguan and left the city to prove himself across the land.
