To start off, I'm going to note I have spoken to many GMs, LTs, and other staff about the topic of being a Venator. Generally I've been told yes, but others have told me no, and some others have said they'd get back to me. I've heard nothing on that account. Therefore I have chosen to post my application here for it. I had quit LOTC, but I plan to come back if this works, as it is my dream persona to play. Thanks! APPLICATION Habitat: Jungle, warm, forest, plains Description: Venators are basically velociraptors, and are violent killing machines. They are very advanced and intellectual. They usually hunt in packs, though I could RP as if my pack had died if there are no other Venators. They stand at 2 meters, and can run at 40 miles per hour in an open area. It is a killing machine which generally hunts in packs (though since I know not of other LOTC Venators, I would probably RP it alone or as its pack had been killed). They live and hunt in plains, forests, and jungles across Vailor. Generally they live in warm environments, often with some form of shade. They are bipedal creatures, and stand upright at two meters (approximately 6.56 feet). With extreme advancement and intellect, it would be unwise to tangle with a Venator. Not to mention, they can run up to forty miles an hour (approximately 64 kilometers per hour) in an open area, and are great jumpers. They have long tails used for balance, better jumping ability, and for fighting (including with descendants). Venator colors differ depending on pack, ranging and changing depending on their group. I also very much like dinosaurs, and I feel that playing one would be a dream come true for me. Why am I qualified to play a Venator?: I have RPed various creatures in my time. These include a massive Olog based on a different dinosaur (Tyrannosaurus Rex) and a troll (Trull). I also played a fairly unauthorized monster, which was a severely mutated and murderous human (An Abby). What could I contribute by playing a Venator?: By playing a Venator I could do a lot for the RP of others by exposing them to a new sort of creature they probably haven't RPed with before. I also, as I mentioned before, love dinosaurs. This means I know about velociraptors and would love to contribute to lore if I could. There are so many options with RP: someone could fight and be eaten by me, could kidnap and exhibit me, send out a search party to fight me, observe and document me, etc. I think me as a Venator would contribute a lot to LOTC. Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Just a few tips for this section, so as not to be too overbearing, because this is all about creativity: Try to avoid naming your character off of something else such as a LotR or anime character Typical story tropes with killed parents are frowned upon by the Application Team because we do not want every character to have the same generic backstory. Make sure to read some of the lore of the server and include it in your application. A good source of lore is the LotC Wiki Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Character’s sex: (male or female?) Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) -Races can be Orcs, Dwarves, Elves, Humans, Kharajyr or halfling and any subtype of those races. Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) -Elves are considered mature at 50 and not 18. Halflings are considered mature at 33 and not 18. Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to include server lore such as cities, religions, wars, realms, etc.. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) His father always said that he was found as a baby on the streets of Arethor. his father who was called Greylum lived on the edge of Hanseti.He was a hunter and his mother was a weaver. Sevran had 2 brothers one went missing when Sevran was seven, and his other brother who was called Malex was a soldier and died fighting the undead . That meant Sevran was alone with his mother and father most all the time. When Sevran was 8 his father tought him to hunt and climb and when he was ten his father would let him go hunt with him. Sevran was a natural with a bow and arrow and could take down big and small animals. The Undead attacked when Sevran was 16 and Sevran left in hope to find a better life somewhere else. (TapeSauce) I was consulting with many of the orcs and kha' of Krugmar, and we want to see the arena hosting shows more often. We request that we, (the people of Krugmar) are allowed to host arena shows daily, or whenever we see fit. (Mainly daily) People of all races are allowed to come, they will be 5 minas on 1 of 2 combatants. Whichever combatant wins gets the half of the bet money placed on them. The bet taker (I am also requesting that I would be the bet taker, but it's fine if I'm not) will take the other half of the winner's earnings. The rest of the money goes back to the audience members who won the bet. We will need an equal audience so that the winners get their earnings, until we have enough fundings to have an uneven amount of bets. AS FAR AS COMBATANTS GO Combatants will be volunteering characters/players. Today, I had many kha' at the arena, but we cancelled the fight because we thought we needed admin's consent. Also, the fights are PvP fights, and the combatants will have equal equipment on each other, as we found a chest full of wood swords. The order of St Amyas. The Knights Chapter of The Grand Lorraine Truths The Knights of the Grand Lorraine recognize four basic truths of this world as absolute fact 1. The creator is the ultimate power and wisdom of this world, and all worlds. 2. The Creator’s word is law, in this world and, all worlds. 3. The chapter exists in service to the The Almighty Creator, his Clergy and his Divines. The Chapter acts as Warriors, Clergy, and Historians for the Church of the True Faith and the Divines. Men of the order are taught to practice self-discipline, study scripture, armed combat, and record historical events. Vows Men of the order take vows to The Creator, The Divine Emperor, The church of the True Faith, and the High Pontiff himself. They are to ensure the stability and loyalty of the order. These vows are as follows: Celibacy. The vow to abstain from and avoid the temptations of lust, wicked is the temptation of fornication and leads men to stray from the creator's light. Poverty The vow to abstain from the sins of greed, to forsake worldly possessions and pledge all of one's self, material possessions and wealth to the church of the true faith. Obedience The vow to remain obedient to the faith, the Church and the order. Piety The vow to remain true to the creator’s word. To remain faithful to his law, his name and his glory. To follow scripture, pray and praise his name. Patience The vow of peace and temperament. To ensure no member of the order is needlessly bloodthirsty or angry, this vow is to ensure a calm mind and heart. Hierarchy Master of Order - Master of Arms- Master of Scrolls Knight of Lorraine - High Chaplain of the Lorraine High Sergeants - Chaplain Sergeants - Scholar Child of the Lorraine Rank Descriptions Council Master of Order: The Master of Order is responsible for maintaining political ties, managing the order’s finances and teaching High Knights and High Chaplain’s the importance of social interaction and patience with the outside world. Master of Arms The master of arms is responsible for the training of High Knights and High Sergeants as warriors and in discipline, planning battles and leading charges against enemies of the church. The Sentencing and prosecution of heretics, oath breakers and deserters. Master of Scrolls The Master of Scrolls is the head clergyman and Historian of the order, responsible for recording and safeguarding church and order declarations and history. Preaching the creator’s word to order members, overseeing the studies of High chaplains and Chaplains and dispersing clergy of the order to missionary work. Combative ranks: Knights of Lorraine. Responsible for the training of a child of the Lorraine, taking one of them under as a ‘squire’, leading small fighting forces comprised of Sergeants and High sergeants into battle. As well as physically conditioning themselves and attending chapel. High Sergeants. Responsible for the continuous training of Sergeants, reports to the Master of Arms for training and to update him on the progress of Sergeants. Sergeants The basic footmen of the order, responsible for their own upkeep and following the orders issued to them. Clergy ranks. High Chaplain. The followers of the faith, responsible for directing chaplains and scholars in activities, scripture readings and chapel sessions. May be called upon by the Master of Scrolls for missionary work, along with chaplains. Chaplain Responsible for recording small sections of history and scripture for the order’s collective library. As well as working alongside Sergeants to teach Children of the Lorraine the creator’s word. Scholar: Responsible for studying only, not allowed to preach the creator’s word until deemed fit by a high chaplain or the master of scrolls himself. At which time they become a chaplain. Child’s rank Child of the Lorraine: Children, usually orphans in the care of the order, taught scripture and made to work under a knight until adulthood.
