  1. Year 170 of the Second Age 02/03/2024 ISSUED BY: THE OBSIDIAN THRONE ᚨ ᛚᛖᚷᚨᚲᛁ ᛊᛖᛏ ᛁᚾ ᛊᛏᛟᚾᛖ ᚨ ᛚᛖᚷᚨᚲᛁ ᛊᛖᛏ ᛁᚾ ᛊᛏᛟᚾᛖ YOTH BRATHMORDAKIN NA YOTH URGUAN ᛁᛟᚦ ᛒᚱᚨᚦᛗᛟᚱᛞᚨᚲᛁᚾ ᚾᚨ ᛁᛟᚦ ᚢᚱᚷᚢᚨᚾ Preamble The Reign of Grand King Sigrun Stonehammer can be described as one of great success and victory. After the death of the beloved Garedyn Mossborn in a tragic excavation, Sigrun carried on the mantle of the former-king, being voted UNANIMOUSLY by all Greater-Clans into the position of king. Sigrun ‘UndeadSlayer’ Stonehammer continued the righteous will of Garedyn the Emerald, continuing the war against the bloodthirsty Veletz, earning several victories as commander and King in multiple battles, namely: The Siege of Fredericksburg The Siege of Drusco Keep The Battle of Easworth Forest Grand King Sigrun led the Dwarven forces to victory after victory, bolstering the reputation of the Grand Kingdom with his might and ferocity. As the war subsided, with fine diplomatic demonstration, he was able to ensure that Urguan received hefty reparations from the former League of Veletz. That was not the end of Grand King Sigrun’s capable diplomacy. The Kingdom of Vikela had violated the territorial claims of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Grand King Sigrun would not tolerate Urguan’s honor being besmirched, and thus immediately sent out a missive to Vikela, demanding that they leave. Rather than face the wrath of the King, Vikela conceded to the demands, and the respect and integrity of Urguan continued. Grand King Sigrun was also able to utilize his renown across the realm to forge new alliances for Urguan, namely the Kingdom of Numendil and the Principality of Celia’nor. The treasury flourished under his reign, mainly from the reparations and the payment of grudges that Grand King Sigrun was able to negotiate. Under Sigrun’s reign, every Dwed had food in their stomach, and a seat at the table to enjoy Urguan’s wealth. To thus summarize, Grand King Sigrun’s reign has ensured that Urguan enjoyed and continues to enjoy a strong diplomatic presence, an even stronger treasury, and a safe and secure country for the Dwarven people to flourish. Therefore it is a tragedy today that Grand King Sigrun, after a prosperous 7 year reign, has decided to abdicate. This marks a new Dawn for the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, and for those who wish to inherit the legacy of Grand King Sigrun ‘Undeadslayer’ Stonehammer, now is the time to put yourself forward as a candidate for election. A moot shall be held within the coming Stone Day. Urguan shall remain strong and unrelenting under a new King, but we shall all remember what Sigrun has done for Urguan. NARVAK OZ URGUAN! NARVAK OZ BRATHMORDAKIN! NARVAK OZ SIGRUN! Signed, Sigrun ‘Undeadslayer’ Stonehammer Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of The Stonehammers, Priest of Dungrimm, Hero of Dungrimm, Three-Time Grand Champion of Urguan
  2. [!] A note weighed down by a wooden carving of a raven would be found in both The Braided Beard and the legion hall. scrawled on them in wiry handwriting would be the words "Consider this my formal resignation. Life in Urguan has become intolerable. War has turned decent folk into haggard old fools who would have no problem with chopping a brother's hand off if he were to poke you. Terminate my employment all you like. My house can be sold, I won't need it anymore. My axe left on my bedside can be kept as a memento, if you wish, I don't care. Urguan, who I believed were noble dwarves blindly waste resources and precious lives on a crumbling human nation. Answer me this: Are your losses worth it? Will you continue to think so when you crush Oren only to face Azdromoth's wrath? Was that not the point of the legion's activity? You lot have lost all sense. Apparently, it takes the eyes of a halfbreed to see the Grand Kingdom's own decline. I hope you lads are happy with your chosen path, because I know where it ends. Resolutely, Bori 'Orckin' Balinsson."
  3. [!] A letter would be addressed to the proper authorities of Rozania as an open forum "Dear my beloved friends, family, and countryfolk, on this day the 13th of The Amber Cold, I Brawly Scáth, hereby resign from my positions of sierzant of the KAR and Rozania’s Master of Medicine. I believe that, due to recent events that have unfolded, I am unfit for both titles. I have failed you all regarding the deaths of our fellows during the Massacre of Innocents on the 13th of Sun’s Smile. Too many have died due to my inaction and for this I have but one explanation; I chose my family over the people I swore to protect. In this selfish inaction, 70 lie dead and buried. In addition to this, as Oisin’s second in command, I failed in my duty to support him and prevent this tragedy from occurring. I submit that I am no longer worthy of my titles. I submit that I should be succeeded by either Atemu Zepeli or Mellow for sierzant, however I am unsure of my replacement as Master of Medicine. It is with a heavy heart I write this document of formal resignation, but my Passion forever lies with the people of Rozania, her rightful ruler: His Majesty William Buckfort, and my own fledgling family. If you believe that I have made an error in my judgment do not hesitate to reply. However, I fully accept that I have failed my responsibilities and submit myself to the consequences." Sincerely: Brawly Scáth
  4. I wanted to formally make this post announcing that I will be stepping down as Administrator of the Moderation Team. At this point in time I no longer feel like I can effectively hold this position and drive the server in a positive direction. Once my successor is chosen I will be handing over the reigns. When I first came back to the server, I was immediately filled with nostalgia and excited for all that I had missed and all the possibilities that I could see before me. I got to talk to friends that I had not spoken in over 8 years and I really enjoyed myself. When I came across my least favorite aspect of the server, locked doors, I decided to rejoin Moderation, a team I had not been a part of since I was swiftly removed from Global Moderator in 2011 for building a casino out of world edit. In that time there were many areas of the server I found myself passionate to work on. I built systems which I feel greatly improved how moderation functioned and tried to set precedents of transparency and open communication between the team and the community. That being said, as I climbed from Moderator, to Management to Administrator I became more and more disconnected from the community and the passion I once had. I had bit off more than I could chew and found myself with a hand in seemingly every team. I didn’t have strong enough support systems in place, both on Administration and on the team. At the end of the day, this was my fault and could have been easily prevented if I had asked for more help and not taken so much responsibility on, but at the end of the day I was not up for the task. While I feel like I may have had a strong start, at this point in time I feel like the longer I stay on as Administrator, I am contributing to a stagnation we have seen time and time again on staff. I have fallen short on my duties, often leaving players on read for days at a time, failing to be more active in my communication and my transparency with players which was one of my driving passions behind joining Management and Administration. I have also failed the community in making this a safe place for everyone who comes to the server. While I have improved my efforts over the past two months to more quickly handle reports over safety concerns, this does not excuse the fact that there were times where I did not make decisions quick enough or stalled on reports and I apologize for anyone who may have been hurt by these inactions or indecisiveness. In the past three months I began playing on an alt account, and I saw many areas of the server that needed improvement. I got to experience the server through a new player's perspective but that experience made me realize that I am not the right person for the job. The server, and Moderation needs an administrator with fresh eyes, passion and a desire to make strong changes. Stagnation is a constant threat for Administrators and the server and it's time for me to take a step back and allow changes to be made. Now comes the question of what comes next, I plan to stay on the team and guide the transition process for bringing on a new Moderation Administrator. To the best of my abilities carry out the duties of this role until my successor is chosen. I don’t want to leave the server, but I feel like after almost two full years I need to take my first real break. I will be stepping down from Moderation once my replacement is picked and then focus more on content creation, finally finishing the website update and overall pushing to improve advertising, new player outreach and player retention, on the Community team if they will still have me. I still have a lot of love for this server, but I believe this is the best step for myself personally, for the moderation team, and the server as a whole. Once a new Admin is chosen, I will be returning to my role as Chairmen of the Ex-GM Team. Its been fun. - BasketWeaver/Anore
