  1. A PRINCE NO MORE The death of the Prince of Merryweather, Heinrich II Lothar von Alstreim One cold morning in the year of our Lord 1904, there was a great commotion within the white walls of Corwinsburg Castle in the Arentanian Alps. Servants ran from chamber to chamber, carrying towels and water, doctors arrived from the capital, soldiers waited quietly for news. Many footsteps echoed through the corridors that morning, but then silence engulfed the Waldenian castle before a quiet scream echoed in one of the chambers. “It’s a boy, Your Highness. Do you have a name for him?” Inquired a maid “Heinrich Lothar…” Silence was short as a trembling voice of the mother answered the inquiry. On that day it began. It was a warm, summer day in the year of our Lord 1952 when the Prince of Merryweather and his party travelled to Whitespire in order to hold an emergency Royal Diet meeting before a planned conference regarding some pressing international matters. There was no indication of what was to come. Everything was going according to plan until a mass of soldiers clad in purple and black streamed into the castle. They all drew their blades and started killing. It then became evident, Stassion betrayed all the Kingdom stood for. AN ORDER WAS GIVEN, THE VOICE OF A TRAITOR ECHOED “Do not harm the Chancellor, Duke Janos, or Grand Prince Ferdinand! Kill the King, kill the Prince of Merryweather!” Heinrich’s eyes widened as he faced the blade of an armoured soldier of Stassion - there was no escape. The last thing he saw was Johannes running to safety, Boon jumping out of the window, Walter with raised hands and the awful sound of a body being cut open. It was a quick death. It was a painful death. One he feared for years. One of which he told his dear Aleksandra so many times. The very death she did not want to hear of was real, and it claimed her husband. The tip of the blade pierced the Princely throat. The redhead fell to his knees, bleeding out. The man who stood at the head of the state, always in shining armour, held in high esteem by his enemies, was humiliated - cut up like a piglet for a feast. The pain was immense. The last thing he managed to think of was his family. People he loved but failed their trust in the end. His pride would never allow him to admit this failure. Definitely not after he fell to his knees begging for his wife's forgiveness so many years ago. There was no turning back now. Henry managed to mutter out his last words while choking on his blood… “I FOUGHT I LOST NOW I REST” The rest was darkness. He was free of all his burdens. The Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg, Lord of Blackwater, Elected Margrave of Vanderfell, Lord Vandalore, Lord Regent of Aaun, uncle to the King and most importantly husband and a father was now lying dead on the floor of the Hand of Horen, a few meters away from his office. Now the Principality was in his son's hands, safe at last. He failed his family, especially his wife Aleksandra who he loved dearly. He failed many. Heinrich II Lothar passed on that day but he did it with dignity, defending the boy he proudly called his King... On that day it ended. HEINRICH II LOTHAR VON ALSTREIM PRINCE OF MERRYWEATHER 1904-1952
  2. END OF THE RAVEN’S REGENCY Penned by the Lord Regent, HH Heinrich II Lothar von Alstreim in the year of our Lord, 1951 TO ALL CITIZENS OF AAUN, It has been fourteen years since I first sat on the Regency Council in the year 1937 as it was requested of me in the last will of my dear uncle, and your King James I Alstion. I can certainly say, looking back over these past years, that I have made many mistakes. Minor and major ones for which I will repent severely when I get the chance. As a young person I have never had the ambition to rule. As a child I never thought that I would become the next Prince of Merryweather, Lord Vandalore of the Waldenic Diet or the Lord Regent of Aaun, back then it was all so strange and unsuitable for me. Once the power was vested in me I have always had a lot of things on my agenda - state affairs, convening the Diet, affairs of Merryweather and family matters - but I have always been there for you, ordinary citizens, nobles and visitors of this United Kingdom. Now, approaching the age of fifty, I see that everything has turned out as it was supposed to. All the triumphs, stumbles and progress that have been made, are the work not of me or the Council members on their own, but of all of us - Aaunites. Our Kingdom was forged in the fires of war and among the ruins of the Harvest Confederacy, we do not seek conflict but surprisingly enough it always finds us, such is the nature of all evil. My advice as a person representing the old generation, brought up during the reign of our beloved and pious Bonnie Prince Charlie, is that you should respect the peace you currently have. My father, grandfather and uncle spent years in armour, on horseback, fighting for a peace that we are able to enjoy now. I have not used the sword but the word and quill to maintain this fragile peace - I have done my best to uphold it for years and I will continue to do it until the strength leaves my body and mind. It is my final document issued as the Lord Regent of Aaun. Through all my years of faithful service to the Crown I have hoped that once His Majesty comes of age he will inherit a Kingdom in a good shape, a Kingdom that suffered a lot more than outsiders think, a Kingdom that he will be able to call his own. Despite the countless opportunities to shape the Kingdom to my liking I have always remained true to the Alstion ideals and how my grandfather and uncle shaped this Realm. To use the naivety of a Boy-King would be a great sin. Instead I have used my knowledge and skills to shape him, the boy, to be a good and fit monarch. I thank all those who believed in me and stood by my and His Majesty’s side through the good and bad, I shall not forget your loyalty. With that I officially step down and thus bring the regency era to an end. I leave this Kingdom to Him, my royal nephew, EDMUND II ALEXANDER ALSTION, our noble King. ~Heinrich II Lothar Signed, HIS HIGHNESS, Heinrich II Lothar von Alstreim, Lord Regent of Aaun, Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg, Lord of Blackwater, Elected Margrave of Vanderfell and LORD VANDALORE
  3. NACHFOLGE DES HAUSES DES BLUTIGEN RABEN Succession of the House of the Blood Raven Penned by the Prince of Merryweather, Heinrich II Lothar in the year of our Lord, 1947 [ ♪ ] TO ALL THOSE WHO MAY BE CONCERNED, Times are challenging. Poverty, hunger, the risk of war - each of us fears what the next day, week or month may bring. Fear must not paralyse every day of our precious life, it is too short to be afraid. The last few years of peace and relative seclusion have allowed me to spend more time with members of my family, at least those who stay by my side at all times. It is only now that I have realised that I am getting older and my children are growing up really fast, faster than I have anticipated, soon to be adults and will start families of their own. Faced with the inexorable passing of time, it is time to think about the future, about what awaits this House after I am gone. Therefore, today, on the 5th of Tobias’ Bounty in the year of our Lord 1947 in accordance with the resolution of the Fürstenrat, I declare my son Johannes Lothar von Alstreim the Count of Whisperwood and heir to the Principality of Merryweather. If my son is unable to succeed to the throne after my passing or abdication, his brother Corwin Ulrich is next in the line of succession. If neither of the brothers is able to lead the Principality, my youngest son, Karl Franz, is to sit on the Blood Raven Throne. May merciful God watch over Merryweather and the Princely House von Alstreim. GOTT MIT UNS, HIS HIGHNESS, Heinrich II von Alstreim, Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg, Lord of Blackwater, Lord Vandalore
  4. AFFIRMATION OF THE BARONY OF BODBWODZ Issued & Confirmed on 11th of Godfrey’s Triumph, 1940, Merryweather Over the past few years, our attention has been drawn to Master Cunimund's activities within our United Kingdom of Aaun. Working for the royal court and transcribing many documents by hand has made him famous among my countrymen. I always believe that honest work should be paid for, and especially if that payment can make someone very happy. The Cingedoz have had no home since Vistulia was destroyed back in Almaris. They wandered around the continent of Aevos with no place to which they could always return after their distant wanderings - to rest, eat and set out into the world again. In recognition of Cunimund's deeds, I am granting him a piece of land at the top of Langkette, where he and his brothers and sisters in culture will be able to build a home that, if merciful God allows, will last for many years and host many generations of Cingedoz. From this eleventh day of Godfrey’s Triumph in the year of our Lord 1940 I name Cunimund the first BARON OF BODBWODZ. With the granted title, Baron Cunimund is allowed to form a local militia consisting of other Cingedoz in order to guard the land granted him in this document. He is expected to pay a yearly tax of fifty Mina. In addition to that, as an official subject within the Principality, Cunimund is granted a seat in the Fürstenrat of Merryweather. All men and women living within the Barony of Bodbwodz are allowed to promote their culture and freely teach and use their native language within the Principality of Merryweather. GOTT MIT UNS, HIS HIGHNESS, Heinrich II von Alstreim, Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg, Lord of Blackwater, Lord Vandalore
  5. ERNENNUNG DES ERSTEN FÜRSTENRATS Appointment of the first Princely Council Penned by the Princely Scribe, Konrad Lipa in the year of our Lord, 1940 [ ♪ ] With the completion of construction work comes new responsibilities. New tasks and challenges await our Principality every new day. In accordance with the positions announced at the inauguration of Merryweather and by the authority granted to me as the Prince von Alstreim by His Majesty, the King, I announce the establishment of the first Princely Council of Merryweather. The council will consist of six members and its main task will be to assist the Prince of Merryweather in his reign and to advise him at times of need. Members of the Council, with the exception of the Bailiff, are appointed for an indefinite time period, which stipulates that the end of their term of office is marked by resignation, removal from the Council by the Prince of Alstreim blood or death. Each Council member must have been a citizen of Merryweather for at least five years prior to appointment and must have demonstrated skills that will assist them in fulfilling the duties of their specific position. Each person who sits on the Council is accountable to the Prince of Merryweather directly, without any intermediaries, as it is the Council members who enact the laws of the Principality and should ensure that these laws are respected. DER MARSCHALL VON MERRYWEATHER UND DER SHERIFF VON APFELBERG The Marshal of Merryweather and Sheriff of Apfelberg For his continued support of the Princely House von Alstreim, now as in previous years, the title is bestowed on Walter Vanderrecht. He is the first Sheriff to be stationed in the office located in the heart of the Principality, right outside of the Schloss Ulrichsburg, and the same office will be the seat of the next Sheriffs of Apfelberg after Herr Vanderrecht retires from office. As the Principality's chief law enforcement officer, the Sheriff has the authority to: I. Arrest suspected criminals and hold them in his personal cells located within his office building until the arrival of the Commander of the Merryweather Rangers or the Prince of Merryweather himself. II. Dispense justice in matters where the Prince's presence is not needed - theft, armed robbery, burglary etc. III. Issue bounties for criminals and use the Princely Seal to validate their worth. IV. Wear a specially crafted star-shaped badge that represents the power of his office. DER KOMMANDANT DER RANGERS VON MERRYWEATHER The Commander of the Rangers of Merryweather Dietrich Faust is someone who needs no introduction to anybody in Aaun. A capable and loyal soldier, always standing at the side of Prince von Alstreim. His faith in the Alstreim cause is supported by his brave deeds, for it was he who tracked down and then killed many spawns of Iblees on behalf of the Prince. Now, officially for his service and merit, he is appointed the Commander of the Rangers of Merryweather so that he can continue to track down darkspawn and bring them justice in the name of God and the House von Alstreim. As the Commander of the Alstreim levy, the Commander has the authority to: I. Promote his soldiers to a higher rank. II. Track down, in coordination with the Sheriff, darkspawn on his own and fully at the expense of the Principality. III. Execute, publicly or privately, not only the spawns of Iblees but also criminals if the situation requires such measures. DER LANDVOGT VON APFELBERG The Bailiff of Apfelberg Anyone who has spent time among the people of Merryweather knows the master trader, champion at cooking, Boon, very well. His presence as well as his support is invaluable. From the very beginning, he faithfully stood by our cause, providing us with quality meals and good company. Now comes his time of trial, as he is appointed the first Bailiff of Apfelberg for the next four years. As head of the Merryweather community, Bailiff has certain authority: I. Collection of taxes from residents of Apfelberg and other parts of the Principality. II. Organise local festivals where every culture present in Merryweather will be promoted. III. During the election of the next Bailiff, the previous Bailiff can vote for himself with the power of one vote or another candidate with the power of two votes. DER FÜRSTLICHE HEROLD The Princely Herald The tasks of the Princely Herald are given to one of my two eldest sons, Johannes Lothar. The boy has always shown an interest in writing and court affairs, although until he reaches the age of sixteen, his Lechian tutor, Konrad Lipa, will pen documents on his behalf. The position of the Herald comes with no authorities other than using the Princely Seal to submit the written documents and announce the decisions made by the Princely Council. DER GRAF VON WARSOVIA The Count of Warsovia His Lordship Waclaw Jakub Jazloviecki, as a subject to the Prince of Merryweather is granted a seat in the Princely Council until his heir replaces him as a reigning Count of Warsovia. The Count is granted all the rights and authorities included in the affirmation of his title from the year 1909. DER FREIHERR VON TRIGLAV The Baron of Triglav His Lordship Mikhail Stefan Jazloviecki, as a subject to the Prince of Merryweather is granted a seat in the Princely Council until his heir replaces him as a reigning Baron of Triglav. The Baron is granted all the rights and authorities included in the affirmation of his title from the year 1927. 6. DIE EINWEIHUNG VON MERRYWEATHER The Inauguration of Merryweather Penned by the Princely Scribe, Konrad Lipa in the year of our Lord, 1939 [ ♪ ] Until a few years ago, the name Merryweather raised questions as it was hard to spot. After all, until recently it was an empty hillside, meaningless to the people who passed by it with complete indifference. It took us many years. Collecting the stone, cutting the wood, preparing the furniture to fill our halls and chambers. After this long time, our work has yielded a harvest. In the year of our Lord 1939, we completed the construction of Ulrichsburg Keep and the main administrative part of the township of Apfelberg. Despite the hardships and tough, rocky terrain, we built our new home on the slopes of the Langkette Mountains. May it serve us for many years to come and, after our death, for the next generations who will inhabit the territory of our beautiful Principality. To mark the completion of the construction of Merryweather, we are holding an inauguration at Schloss Ulrichsburg. There will be food and refreshments. The Prince of Merryweather will also address those gathered and appoint members of his council. Invitations are given to the following: His Majesty, Edmund Alexander Alstion, King of Aaun and members of House Alstion. All members of his Majesty’s Regency Council. His Serene Highness, Ferdinand Alexander Barclay, Grand Prince of Minitz and his noble pedigree. His Grace, Istvan Matyas Ivanovich, Duke of Stran and his noble pedigree. 7. DER FÜRSTLICHE BERICHT ÜBER DEN BESUCH BEI ATHERAN SALVUS The Princely report on the visit to Atheran Salvus Penned by the Princely Scribe, Konrad Lipa in the year of our Lord, 1937 [♪] It has been exactly one year since my ship left the port of Whitespire for the long voyage to Atheran Salvus, the place where I spent my entire childhood, where I learned to write, speak and read. Once I reached my destination after three days of sailing the Syndic of the Salvian Syndicate welcomed me very warmly and made sure that I had the best possible conditions during my stay at Salvus. My visit lasted only a day, but that one day was enough for everything I had planned. It was truly wonderful to visit the Royal Salvian Academy as well as the Basilica of the Intercession of Saint Ottomar, located within the city of Fausten, which I know so well. On the occasion of my visit, Mass was celebrated in the Basilica in the morning. It was the same place at which I was baptised as a small child more than three decades ago. Later the same day the scientists of the Royal Academy of Saint Ottomar presented to me their research results on war machines, shipbuilding and architecture that is so unique to Atheran Salvus. In the evening, just before I boarded the ship to return home, I spoke to the Syndic himself about the Waldenic Diet and the relationship between the Princely House of Alstreim and our former Colony of Fausten. The meeting was a success. We both spoke highly of Sir Daris, the Salvian Syndicate's envoy to the Waldenic Diet, and his numerous reports on the current state of affairs in Almaris and Aevos over the course of the years. As a farewell gift, my ship was loaded with a variety of colonial goods not available on the continent. The Syndic has also suggested opening a shop in Whitespire or Merryweather that would sell goods imported from the Colony of Fausten, as these could be profitable for the Principality of Merryweather and the House of Alstreim. My next visit was not scheduled. It is possible that such a visit will occur after my death, during the reign of the new Prince. May our relations never deteriorate and may the cooperation between Merryweather, Waldenians and Salvus be as fruitful as always. GOTT MIT UNS, HIS HIGHNESS, Heinrich II von Alstreim, Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg, Lord of Blackwater
  8. DER FÜRSTLICHE BESUCH BEI ATHERAN SALVUS The Princely visit to Atheran Salvus Penned by the Princely Scribe, Konrad Lipa in the year of our Lord, 1936 [♪] It has been fourteen years since I have last seen the golden shores of Atheran Salvus, the place I called home for most of my life. In order to change this state of affairs, I sent a letter to the representatives of the Salvian Syndicate that reside within the lands of Atheran Salvus to ask about the possibility of a visit. Recently I have received an invitation from the Syndic of the Salvian Syndicate to pay their land an official visit during which I will visit places both familiar and unfamiliar to me thus far. The length of my visit is estimated to be around one year. My letter was intended to be short, but recent events will not allow it to become so. The enemies of our good Principality of Merryweather and the United Kingdom of Aaun have again raised their weapons against our people. The despicable Caelians have once again used orcish power and, for the first time, mercenaries to terrorise our people. It cannot stay like that. My mentors in Atheran Salvus always said to negotiate first and fight later, but what if negotiation and peaceful diplomacy doesn't work? The answer is one - you have to fight. If not my people themselves, then I will get those who have violated our peaceful lives and along our stone-paved roads drag their corpses to show those who still doubt my words that the colour of the Alstreim raven is bloody for a reason. GOD be my witness. Before I begin my journey to Salvus I have a request to make to my uncle, our beloved King, James Leopold Alstion. Issue a Royal Ban and let us avenge those we lost. This is the will of House Alstreim and the people of Merryweather. In my absence, all matters concerning Merryweather will be overseen by my wife, Aleksandra Milena. I entrust all my affairs to her and pray that her wise decision will be final in all matters. The matters of the Legion are in the hands of Lieutenant Louis Owyn Haverlock. May GOD protect Aaun and Merryweather during my absence. 9. DIE OFFIZIELLE KLAGE IM NAMEN VON BOON UND BANE Official Complaint on behalf of Boon and Bane Penned by the Princely Scribe, Konrad Lipa in the year of our Lord, 1935 [ ♪ ] It has been three years since the bloody war between the Canonist League and the Free Duchy of Adria came to the long-awaited end. For most of us, it was the day we felt like our lives were going to be normal again. This was the case until the quiet and unobtrusive life of my two subjects, the internationally famous, merchant brothers, Boon and Bane, ceased to be so. Working by the sweat of their brow, making their quality products, the brothers have long been the subject of ridicule, insults, threats and defamation against the brand that the brothers represent. If that fact was not enough, all the insults and rumours come from the mouths of our citizens. People who, like these two, God-fearing brothers, serve the King and country. Both brothers are not afraid to advertise their local, Aaunic business across all lands of Aevos - from Talar’nor in the west, to Lurin in the east, from the heat of volcanic plains and frost of frozen tundra in the north, to the warm sands and jungles in the south. The brothers had long restrained their tongues so as not to complain about their tormentors, but when an axe was pressed to the chest of the larger of the brothers, and the second was harassed by two masked men, after he was seen speaking to the people working at local pizzeria - that was the last straw. As the Prince of Merryweather, I will not tolerate intimidation and oppression of my people. All incidents were supported by the words of witnesses, so there is no question of confusion or deliberate framing. This lawsuit concerns two individuals - Ramwold von Bardenwig and Gofdazz, the orc. Charges brought against the two are as following: Ramwold von Bardenwig, on accusation of: I. DEATH THREATS II. SLANDER Gofdazz the orc, on accusation of: I. DEATH THREATS II. HARASSMENT III. ARMED INVASION OF PERSONAL SPACE IV. SUSPICION OF INTENDED BREAK-IN As their reparations, Boon and Bane, demand justice to be served and those who had threatened their lives to be punished. The merchant brothers in their modesty required that the punishment should be appropriate to the committed crimes. They await: From Ramwold von Bardenwig: I. Formal apology, signed by the accused and his relative, the Baron of Arentania. II. A sum of 250 Mina paid by the accused himself, for all the insults and death threats the brothers had to listen to. III. Stop spreading harmful rumours about the brand “Boon&Bane’s”. From Gofdazz the orc: I. A sum of 500 Mina or or leave the Royal City of Whitespire and the Principality of Merryweather with no possibility of return for the next 10 years. If the terms are not met within a year since this document is published, this case will be taken to the city Court of Whitespire. The merchant brothers have never wished for any of this to happen, yet it was the fright that pushed them to bring this matter before me. It is not my wish, as their liege lord, to make the accused face the Whitespirian judges but if they decide it is the way they wish to solve this matter, let it be so. The King has voiced his support for this case. Our nation is built on democratic values of law and justice and so both shall prevail for many generations to come. GOTT MIT UNS, HIS HIGHNESS, Heinrich II von Alstreim, Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg, Lord of Blackwater
  10. THE LEGACY STRENGTHENED Penned by Marlene von Alstreim On the 6th of Harren’s Folly, 1932 On the 5th of Harren’s Folly, 1932, a mere year after the nuptials of the Prince and Princess, the House of von Alstreim is titillated to announce the birth of not one but two children. After an especially healthy pregnancy, the Princess delivered the first boy with ease; but observing family, physicians, and nurses were just as surprised to find her still in labor. Mere minutes later, she delivered the second son. Both bore proudly the color of reddish Alstreim hair like their father and the curious gazes of their mother. Subsequently, while the order of birth is unspecified, one was named CORWIN ULRICH VON ALSTREIM (@Mannyy) after two great patriarchs of the Merryweather bloodline, and the other JOHANNES LOTHAR VON ALSTREIM (@Balthasar) after the first Queen of Sutica and his father, Heinrich Lothar. And after much deliberation over the unexpected nature of their bringings into the world, the Princely couple have decided to withhold the honor of naming an heir so the boys might have equal claim to the throne, free to choose a life of their will. As the boys grow, they shall be observed delicately until they reach the age of maturity, where a grand trial will be held. Whichever boy proves themselves more capable and adept then the other will get the honor of being named the COUNT OF WHISPERWOOD. This choice, although not taken lightly, is to ensure that the selected son has the best interests of Alstreim and Waldenia at heart and is able to grapple the vast world with the same greatness as their ancestors, rather than them growing slothful and expecting such a grueling role to be granted to them. But for now, far from the competitiveness of adulthood, the Princedom of Merryweather and the Rhine invites those close to gather with both sons of Waldenia and the House of von Alstreim in a lighthearted celebration to pay homage to the mother and infants. Beckoned as a “Postpartum Party”, the Princess of Merryweather requires all those who attend to bring a gift for the boys or herself as they gather in the Whitespire garden for drinks, card games, and handsome conversation. SIGNED, HIS HIGHNESS, Heinrich II von Alstreim, Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg, Lord of Blackwater HER HIGHNESS, Aleksandra of Vidaus, Princess-Consort of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgravine of Alstreim, Baroness of Corwinsburg, Lady of Blackwater
  11. THE UNION OF ALSTREIM AND RUTHERN Penned by the PRINCE OF MERRYWEATHER On the 9th of Tobias’ Bounty, 1930 Though once the pair seemed an unlikely match, the years of their courtship have blossomed into a relationship of true love and affection, only growing in its intensity as the descendants crossed the continents. Thus, the Principality of Merryweather and the Duchy of Vidaus are eager to announce the conjoinment of the two houses with the union of his Highness, Heinrich II Lothar von Alstreim, and her Ladyship, Aleksandra Milena vas Ruthern. I. THE CEREMONY The ceremony will be open to all Canonist citizens of the League – Aaun and Haense alike – commencing in the Temple of the Exalted Prophets of the Canon, right outside the walls of the Aaunic capital, Whitespire. Under the lowlands’ sun and the watchful eye of GOD, the pair shall be bound in holy matrimony, joining as husband and wife. II. THE JOUST OF MERRYWEATHER Sharing the militaristic heritage of the two houses, a joust shall be held in the couple’s honor in the tourney grounds just outside the Temple’s doors. All men who think themselves worthy enough may be allowed to enter, provided they come with a steed of their own. He who proves himself skilled enough to claim the title of Champion shall claim not only a 250 mina prize, but a reward from the bride herself. III. 12. AFFIRMATION OF THE BARONY OF TRIGLAV Issued & Confirmed on 22nd of The Amber Cold, 1927, Merryweather After years of faithful friendship between our houses, the bond that unites the Princely House of Alstreim and the Comital House of Jazloviecki is stronger than ever. With this in mind, and having traced the pages of our shared history, I could not help but notice that in the past the Jazloviecki-Svarogovich line held its own title. This title was forgotten by the King of the Novellen dynasty. The same one who called himself their friend but did nothing to help them when they required that assistance. Witnessing how thriving Warsovia is, it would be a sin to forget the merits of the second house that forms House Jazloviecki. As a recognition of the years of faithful service, not only of Mikhail Jazloviecki, but also of his late great-grandfather, Holy Sir August Mikołaj Jazloviecki, I officially restore the title of Baron Triglav to Mikhail and his descendants. The Baron's future will henceforth be linked to that of the Count of Warsovia and he will be bound by the same vassal contract. May good fortune be with us as we continue our fruitful work and build the United Kingdom of Aaun together. GOTT MIT UNS, HIS HIGHNESS, Heinrich II von Alstreim, Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg, Lord of Blackwater
  13. PRINCELY ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE MOVE TO THE LANDS OF SAVOY Issued on the 4th of Godfrey's Triumph, 1924, at Merryweather [♪] It has been two years since I ascended my father's throne as the Prince of Merryweather. During those two years, I tried my best to match my father in all possible aspects of reign. I kept in touch with our family in the County of Warsovia, stayed in the Duchy of Minitz and visited other Waldenians in Haense. Unfortunately, my efforts have been interrupted by the vile hordes of Mori who are destroying the world as we know it. I fought them in Fenn, I fought them in Minitz. Both of these battles were unfortunately lost for the human kind. They had more men and equipment, I saw it with my own eyes. In the face of this deadly threat, I call upon all the inhabitants of the lands of Arentania under my authority: Waldenians, Lechians and Daels - follow me southwards, where Minitz refugees have set up camp outside our former home, our pearl of the south - the Castle of Merryweather. The castle, despite its overgrown exterior, is still usable on the inside. It will certainly work wonderfully as our new temporary home. I personally invite the following noble families from our United Kingdom of Aaun to move into Merryweather as soon as they reach the southern shores of Almaris: Members of the Royal House of Alstion @LithiumSedai Members of the Ducal House of Barclay @MadOne Members of the Margravial House of Rosius @rep2k Members of the Margravial House of Reuss @ncarr Members of the Comital House of Jazloviecki @ratlordmagic Members of the Comital House of Ivanovich @Optimus420 Members of the Comital House of Augusten @Frank_Dog In addition to the aforementioned noble houses, I also invite: The Right Honourable, Manfred Barclay, Baron of Sigradz @Ramon The Right Honourable, Sir Émir d’Arbre, Count of l'Arbre d'Or @exoo GOTT MIT UNS HIS HIGHNESS, Heinrich II von Alstreim, Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg, Lord of Blackwater
  14. "Perhaps if I had more time..." A painting of Hans' loyal canine, Cardinal It is not often that life in Almaris is taken by illness nor by age, though it seems for the lineage of Alstreim one is so lucky to die a more peaceful death. His things set aside in his now abandoned room, left for his remaining family along with a more private letter. After surviving thanium poisoning and shamanic curses for much of his life, the now grown-old Hans Lorenz von Alstreim was taken without warning. Succumbing to his ailments at last, the elder Alstreim left behind the copies of a letter that upon reading seem to have been written in frustration. Perhaps, this letter is important? It sits quietly upon the ground just outside your home, drifting in the wind across the road- all reaches of the continent with scattered copies of a final message. Whether this letter was written just before his passing or some time ago remains unclear, though his signature is left emblazoned upon the bottom, signed in clarity. ((I ask now that, out of character, you do not use the contents of this letter to start any sort of villainous roleplay nor against me oocly. I have reached a point where I do not think I could stand it, and I do not want to make life any more difficult for Meleutherius. I cannot stop you, but take my request as you will.)) If you read on, it begins: Amor etiam in morte, virtus etiam in ignavia Hans Lorenz von Alstreim @Tigergiri @Ramon @LithiumSedai @Fireheart @ScoutTheWitch
