  1. On the 14th of Francisco’s Resolve, 92 The Loss of a Mother It has been a year since the passing of Annika Denodado; A beloved mother, viscountess, and friend to all in Hyspia. After a year of mourning, House Denodado shall be hosting a funeral to properly put her to rest, and allow closure for all who knew Annika. Throughout her life, Annika has been a source of compassion to all that knew her. In her early life, she was the woman that gave the Brotherhood of Saint Karl the courage they needed to continue the fight against the mori, even against all odds. She saw the good in all, including those of the horde. She would befriend anyone and everyone that met her, and not a single bad thing could be said about the compassionate Viscountess. In her later years, Annika became known throughout Hyspia as a mother to all, a friend to outsiders, and someone that would help anyone through anything. To her, there was nothing too little that could be done for someone, and she would always go out of her way to make sure that others were having a better time than they were the day before. To her children and grandchildren, she was the kindest person they had ever met, and a role model to strive to become. To her husband, she was an angel that was taken too soon. The Funeral The funeral is to be held in Hyspia, within La Dorada at the Church of Blessed Francisco in four Saints Days time. All who knew Annika are welcome to attend, including those of her maiden family, House Amador. Signed, HIS EXCELLENCY, Demitrey Denodado Visconde de Banderas, Baron de Sevilla, Gran Canciller de Hyspia, Oficial de Imigracion, Captain of the Opal Odyssey

  4. THE COLLECTION OF JEWELS OF HOUSE AMADOR 1350 A.H. - Present NOD PEPEL, ASERE PODNIMAT’SYA From Ashes, We Rise — INTRODUCTION As a family that has accumulated vast wealth and reputation over many centuries, the House of Amador has acquired many heirlooms from their ancestors. These heirlooms have been carefully maintained and preserved so that they may be passed down to their descendents. The origin of these creations come from a vast number of backgrounds- from royalty that married into this prestigious family, to pieces that were hand-crafted for Amadors’ debuts and other important events. While this is not a complete assortment, as pieces are constantly being added, this is the first public reveal of the Amadors’ private jewellery collection. HEAD PIECES ARTEMIS’ TIARA This tiara was first commissioned by Duke Romanos Palaiologos of Mystra for his eldest daughter, Princess Artemis Palaiologos. It was said that the young princess bore a striking resemblance to her mother, Ameliade Savin, which sparked a deep fatherly love within the Duke. The tiara was donned on only the most special occasions by Artemis, and after her marriage to Count Henrik Amador, the tiara was preserved as an Amador heirloom. Most recently, the brilliant heirloom was gifted to Liridona Amador by her twin sister, the late Baroness Nataliya Amador. The young Nataliya was so taken by her sister’s beauty that it sparked inspiration for Liridona’s moniker, The Gem of Amador. Several years after it came to be in Liridona’s possession, the young woman donned it pridefully for her Lifstala debut. THE DAY’S EMBRACE This tiara was first made for Princess Artemis Palaiologos’ 18th birthday, and was gifted to her by her father, Duke Romanos Palaiogos of Mystra. The piece was treasured deeply by Artemis, and upon her marriage to Count Henrik I Amador, the tiara was bequeathed as an heirloom to Amador descendents. A SILVER TIARA This radiant head piece was first commissioned for the fourth daughter of Duke Eirik Baruch of Valwyck, Lady Eileen Marcella. The gift was bestowed upon her by a dear friend, Jovianne de Ashley, for Eileen’s thirteenth nameday. It has since been passed down to Eileen’s niece, Caoimhe Amador née Baruch, and to Caoimhe’s own niece , Liridona Amador, as a gift for the Amador treasury. SILVER TIARA This tiara was originally a gift to Princess Artemis Palaiologos from an unknown suitor. While he may have wished to court the beautiful Princess of Santegia, Artemis did not return his feelings, and deemed him “dramatic.” Nonetheless, Artemis still kept the headpiece, and upon her marriage to Count Henrik I Amador, it was donated to House Amador and its descendents. THE DEBUTANTE’S KOKOSHNIK This kokoshnik was crafted for Ilaria Amador’s debut during the fifth Lifstala season in Haense. It was created by her eldest sister, former Matriarch Olessya Amador. Just a few years prior to this social season, House Amador had lost its noble status and was reduced to a family of commoners. Despite this, the young Ilaria carried herself proudly and presented herself with grace before the courts. She was also the only Amador to debut during this season, making her kokoshnik all the more special. It has since been passed down to Ilaria’s eldest daughter, Nicolette Amador, for her own Lifstala debut, and will continue to make its appearance during future social seasons for young Amador debutantes. THE AMADORIAN BRIDAL KOKOSHNIK This beautiful kokoshnik was first worn by Ilaria Amador. It was commissioned for her wedding to her third husband, Quintus Varoche, in 486 E.S. This day was remembered by Ilaria as one of the happiest of her life, as she was finally able to marry her first lover after being separated for over thirty years. Thus, the kokoshnik she wore became a treasured heirloom, and was passed onto her family after her death. THE MATRIARCH’S VEIL This bridal headdress was first worn by former Matriarch Olessya Amador. It was commissioned for her wedding to her second husband, Magnus Baruch, who would thereafter become the Patriarch-consort of House Amador. The union of the couple took place in the Duchy of Valwyck in 468 E.S. THE VEIL OF THE PHOENIX This stunning headpiece was first worn by the Phoenix of Amador, Baroness Nataliya Amador. It was created as a gift for her wedding to her consort, Aleksandr Kortrevich. The ceremony took place in 481 E.S. in Valdev, Haense. SEDANITE SPRING KOKOSHNIK This headpiece, although simple, was worn nearly daily by Ilaria Amador. The scarf was handcrafted by her sister, former Matriarch Olessya Amador, and as was the golden kokoshnik itself. Ilaria had originally donned it upon her arrival to Sedan after the fall of Mondstadt. The headpiece reminded her of her homeland of Karosgrad, and her piety. It also brought her comfort in reminder that she would always have her sister on her side. Since then, it has been passed down to Ilaria’s niece, Liridona Amador, and thus the Amador treasury. NECKLACES CLEMENT III’S ROSARY This rosary was first owned by His Holiness, High Pontiff Clement III, who was born as Jack Amador. Following his abdication, and later his death, this priceless heirloom has been kept and preserved by his Amador kin and their descendents over many years. ARTEMIS’ NECKLACE This necklace was first commissioned by Duke Romanos Palaiologos of Mystra for his eldest daughter, Princess Artemis Palaiologos, and bestowed upon her shortly after the passing of the Duke’s wife, Amelia de Savins. It was created to match a tiara that had been made for the young Artemis many years before, creating a matching set of jewelry for the princess. Artemis took a great love to the necklace, and wore it frequently. After her marriage to Count Henrik I Amador, this necklace joined its tiara counterpart in the Amador vault of heirlooms, where it has been passed down through the generations. Its most recent appearance was made during the Lifstala debut of Liridona Amador, who wore the matching jewellery set with grace before the Haeseni courts. PEARL NECKLACE This necklace was first owned by Princess Amelia de Savin of Santegia. After her death, the piece was passed down to her daughter, Princess Artemis Palaiologos. After Artemis’ marriage to Count Henrik I Amador, the necklace was donated to the Amador treasury and kept within the House’s care. AMELIA’S LOCKET This necklace was first owned by Princess Amelia de Savin of Santegia. After her death, the piece was passed down to her daughter, Princess Artemis Palaiologos. After Artemis’ marriage to Count Henrik I Amador, the necklace was donated to the Amador treasury and kept within the House’s care. It is unknown what message or portrait may have originally been held within this locket. RINGS ARTEMIS’ ENGAGEMENT RING This beautiful ring was commissioned by Count Henrik I Amador for his bride, Princess Artemis Palaiologos, and created by the smiths of Adelburg. The Count proposed to his fiancee following a party at the Orenian palace. The ring was well cared for by the Countess-consort until her death, upon which she bequeathed the item to her daughter, Katherine Amelia Amador. Since then, the ring has been passed down as a relic of the Amadors, and is now preserved within its treasury. DIAMOND WEDDING RING Same as its engagement counterpart, this elegant piece was commissioned by Count Henrik I Amador for his wife, Princess Artemis Palaiologos. It was created by the talented smiths of Adelberg, and bestowed upon Artemis on her wedding. Since then, this piece has been bequeathed to Artemis and Henrik’s descendents, and cared for by House Amador. WEDDING RING Regrettably, not much is known about this stunning ring. However, based on its craftsmanship, it seems to have been made around 1620, which would have been during the lifetime of Count Ruslan II Amador. However, as Ruslan never wed, one cannot be entirely sure whom this ring was meant for. Nonetheless, it is still a treasured piece that has remained within House Amador for hundreds of years. BLUEFLAME OF DEVOTION ~ This stunning wedding ring was commissioned by Aleksandr Kortrevich for his bride, Baroness Nataliya Amador, and created by the Grand King Garedyn of Urguan. The ceremony took place in 481 E.S. in the Basilica in Valdev, Haense. CLOAK OF WOVEN DREAMS ~ This ring was given to Liridona Amador by an odd, unknown elf. Not much else is known about its origin, except that now it has since been passed down to Liridona’s youngest son, Benedict Amador, and preserved within the Amador treasury. OTHER PIECES OPAL EARRINGS This beautiful pair of earrings were purchased by Marquis Sterling Whitewood, previously known as Ser Sterling Amador, for his cousin, Liridona Amador. The gift was bestowed upon Liridona at Haense’s Lords Festival, and have since been a treasured possession of hers. THE GEM OF AMADOR This gorgeous statue was hand-carved by Nicolette Amador for her cousin, Liridona Amador. It was presented to Liridona on the day of Nicolette’s Lifstala debut as a token of appreciation. Since then, it has been maintained and kept in pristine condition within Liridona’s care. CUFF OF CARRYING This handy bracelet was made by Princess Juniper Rose of Lurin for Nicolette Amador. The elven princess was a mage, and as a gift for her friend, Juniper created this enchanted bracelet. Since then, it has been kept in good care by the Amadors. REMARKABLY EFFECTIVE MATCHBOX This odd contraption was first given to Liridona Amador by an unknown elf. Not much is known about its origin. 5. A JOINT MEMORIAL ⋅────────────────────────────────────⋅ ─── From Ashes, We Rise EST 143 E.S. - Present | 1590 A.H. - Present ⋅ ───⊱༺⠀☨⠀༻⊰─── ⋅ It saddens our House to have to announce the recent passings of two of our kin- former matriarch Olessya Irene Amador, and her younger sister, Ilaria Annabelle Amador. Both women were incredibly accomplished during their lives, and brought their family great pride. Thus, House Amador wishes to honour them with a traditional Amador funeral. ⋅ ───────────────⊱༺⠀I⠀༻⊰─────────────── ⋅ Ilaria Amador (left), with her sister, Olessya Amador (right) The former Matriarch, Olessya Irene Amador, was a strong-willed woman. Having been made head of her House at the young age of eight, Olessya led her family to Sedan after the Barony of Mondstadt was dissolved under Karl III. She returned to Haense many years later, although with her she brought her twin daughters, Nataliya Mariya and Liridona Ingrid Amador. Only under Olessya did those two girls grow to help reclaim the Barony of Mondstadt with the rest of their kin.. To honour Olessya’s life, she will be laid to rest beneath a spruce tree, as per tradition of the Amadors, and be monikered “The Conflagrate” for how she led her House through its darkest times, and rose her phoenix to greatness. There will be a ceremony, where her relatives will have an opportunity to prepare eulogies and say their final goodbyes. Thereafter, Olessya’s final wishes will be carried out by her daughter, Liridona. A steadfast and resolved woman, Ilaria Annabelle Amador carried herself with dignity from a young age. Despite the tragic losses of her first husband, Marquess Pavel Bassett of Aveyron, and her daughter, Edlynne Mara Amador, Ilaria maintained her strong will. She was a close confidant of Princess Augustina of Balian in Sedan, and upon her return to Haense, became both Court Astrologer under Queen Sofia of Hyspia, and an ambassador to Urguan. To memorialise Ilaria’s life, she will be buried beside her sister underneath a spruce tree, and be granted the moniker of “The Loyal” to honour the loyalty she offered her family and Kingdom. Similar to Olessya’s, a ceremony will be held where her kin may give speeches and say their final goodbyes. After the ceremony, Ilaria’s will be executed by daughter, Nicolette, and her niece, Liridona. 6. A depiction of a 14 year old Ilaria in Sedan, praying. SA 93 It felt like just yesterday- the day young Ilaria Amador’s world fell apart. She had lived well as the third child of the Baron of Mondstadt. She and her siblings- Olessya, Airomar, Anastasya, and Emiliya would spend hours roaming the streets of Karosgrad. Until the day the King declared that the Barony of Mondstadt would be no more. Sweet little Ilaria did not understand. She remembered her eldest sister, the fiery Olessya, petitioning at court not long after. It was not long after her father disappeared, and Ilaria became the sister of House Amador’s matriarch. “Where is papej?” She had asked her mother, the Princess Petrysa of Sedan. The princess gave a vague, unsatisfying answer to her daughter, and returned home to Sedan, with her five children in tow. Of course, Ilaria made do with her situation. She rose to join the courts of Princess Augustina of Balian, her cousin-in-law. She stayed at her family’s side, and tried her hardest to reclaim the stolen honor of House Amador. Her loyalty would stand with House Amador, always. A depiction of an 18 year old Ilaria, gazing out her window in Sedan. SA 97 Ilaria had lived her whole life following her mother’s words. She had been told to marry rich, to strive to find a wealthy husband so that she, as the third child, may live comfortably. Of course, that was until she met Quintus Varoche. Oh, young love. Ilaria was absolutely smitten with the Illatian boy who lived just down the street! He was sweet and funny, and oh how cute she thought his accent was. But alas, he was a commoner. It broke the young Amador’s heart that she was to be forbidden from her first love. How unfortunate that her loyalties were to her mother’s wishes first. A depiction of Ilaria in mourning after the death of Her first husband, Pavel Bassett. SA 110 Oh, Pavel. Though he was no Quintus, he treated Ilaria well throughout their marriage. Together, the landless Marquess and his Marchioness had two beautiful daughters; Nicolette, and Edlynne. Those two girls were the light of Ilaria’s life. After the death of her husband in a hunting incident, the usually reserved Ilaria wept for how she would have no one to care for her children. Until, that is, she received a letter from her dear sister, Olessya. A letter asking Ilaria to return to Haense to be with her siblings, nieces, and nephews. Of course, the now widow obliged, and returned to her childhood home of Karosgrad with her sweet Nicolette and Edlynne. Her loyalties lay within her children now, and Ilaria sought to provide them the life they deserved. A depiction of Ilaria praying for her daughter, Edlynne. SA 116 “Be wary of strangers. Do niet follow people vy do niet know.” Ilaria told her children. One could never be too safe, after all. Oh, but Edlynne. Sweet, curious Edlynne, who could not even speak. One day, the little wanderess followed a stranger out of Karosgrad, and was never seen again. All that was left behind was a beaten stuffed crow- the same one Ilaria’s sweet daughter carried everywhere. Ilaria spent days lamenting having ever let her daughter out of her sight, even for a moment. She had put out fliers with her sister Olessya, offering reward for her youngest child’s return. She searched for days on end herself, and found little solace in the fruitless endeavors. The only one who brought her comfort during her grief, was one Gregorious Roa. While he may have brought her some peace, Ilaria would never forget the loyalty she owed to her sweet Edlynne. A depiction of Ilaria on the day of her wedding To Gregorious Roa SA 117 (Art by Pitohui) Ilaria was a widow- who had bore two children, at that! To marry a Viscount, and especially one so caring towards her, was an opportunity she could not pass up. The Amador still followed the words of her mother, urging her to marry wealthy so that she may provide for her dearest Nicolette. And perhaps she may have some other children. Not that they could ever replace her deceased daughter, but to maybe ease the pain. The ceremony was beautiful. Ilaria was a stunning bride, and Gregorious her dashing groom. She soon moved to Urguan to begin her new life as the Viscountess-Consort of Pavia. However, not long into their marriage, Ilaria felt ill at ease. Her husband was very cozy with House Bishop, who had claimed Ilaria’s ancestral home of Mondstadt not long after her family had lost the title. When a scandal involving Lord Ludwig Barclay of Minitz occurred in Pavia, Ilaria found that her husband was planning to vassalize their land under the Bishops, who owned a Duchy within the dwarven lands. Now several months pregnant, Ilaria sought to sneak a copy of the contract to King Georg of Haense, and annul her marriage. She would never allow such injustice to occur, not while she had the power to bring such dishonor to light. As a result of her contributions, Ilaria was granted the position of ambassador between Haense and Urguan. And, perhaps as some light in the darkness of events, the Amador gave birth to three beautiful babies; Firentia, Edvard, and Henrik. While some regret for her marriage may have lingered, Ilaria never once doubted her actions. After all, her loyalties were bound to Haense first. A depiction of Ilaria gazing out the window of her room. SA 129 Firentia, such a darling girl she was. She was bright and bubbly, albeit sickly. Ilaria did her best to care for her. She may not have done the best job, lying to the triplets about who their father really was, but she did not wish for them to feel the shame of sharing the blood of a criminal. That is, until sweet Firentia found out. What only broke the Amador’s heart further was when her sweet daughter chose to move away from Haense, and spend the rest of her days out with her father’s name of Roa. While Ilaria had sworn that her loyalties lie within her children, she first promised it to her House, and she could not betray her other children. A depiction of Ilaria on the day of her wedding to Quintus Varoche SA 138 It had been a long time. Ilaria had moved from the tragedies of her two failed marriages, and recovered from the losses of her two daughters. She was well, on her own. Until, by sheer chance, she was reunited with Quintus Varoche. At first, his presence had caught Ilaria by surprise. It had been well over thirty years, and she had not only started two families in that time, but also helped reclaim her family’s lost noble title. Of course, that did not change the fact that her heart fluttered at the sight of her first love. It seemed as though her dear Quincey thought the same, as not even a few months later, he proposed. He may have proposed to her without a ring, and in the wrong language, but Ilaria was overjoyed nonetheless. Now in her fifties, she could imagine no greater joy than spending the rest of her life with the first man she ever loved. The day of the wedding was spectacular; it was perfect. A small ceremony, of course, but it was preferred that way. While her gray hair was starting to show at her roots, and the wrinkles on her face creased when she smiled, Ilaria still made an elegant bride. She hoped dearly this would be her last marriage, and that she could spend the rest of her days with her Quincey. And on that altar, with one of the brightest smiles she ever wore, Ilaria pledged her loyalty to her third husband. Now old and bedridden, Ilaria gazed out the window. She thought back on her life. The happiness her family brought her, and the pain her losses felt. Her three beautiful daughters, all of whom she was very proud of, and her two sons who had grown up to travel the world together. While she may have harbored regrets, Ilaria stood firm in her beliefs, and they guided her actions truthfully. One last time, Ilaria thought of who had made her life so bright. She thought of what she had done; the many things she had achieved for her House and family. A weak smile crossed her lips, as she thought of the duties she carried out in the name of House Amador. “Loyalty,” She sighed, mildly amused, to herself. “Such ein fickle thing…” Her eyes closed, and a final breath was taken. Now, reunited with her family in the Seven Skies, Ilaria Annabelle Amador promised loyalty To none other than her Creator, who had called her home. 8. -A BURDEN BESTOWED TO THE GREATEST OF AMADORS- ♪ ♫♬ ♪ ♫ That might save my skin, but it won't save my soul ━━━─━────༺༻────━─━━━ ━━━ From Ashes, We Rise ━━━─━────༺༻────━─━━━ Golden light filtered through glassy windows and held undisturbed by not one breath. A young girl stood before the imposing throne of Karl III. The girl, naught yet nine years old, stared forward at the grandeur before her- eyes wide with determination and a touch of vulnerability. She’d clear her fluttering heart with a small hum, addressing aloud then: “Vyr Majesty," she began, her voice steady despite her racing heart, "Ea stand before vy niet as a petitioner, but as a daughter of a once-proud house. Ea wished to apologise on behalf of mea Father- Filip Amador- for mea House’s inactivities and troubles" She’d add then, glancing up evermore at the king before her- a flame catching spark within her chest despite the rising anxieties. “If niet in mea Father’s lifetime, then in mea own Ea will correct our familial mistakes.” The court was hushed, every eye fixed on the resolute girl who stood unwaveringly before the King. King Karl III leaned forward, his eyes locked with the girl’s– as if he sought the essence of her determination. "I thank you child," he said at last. “Though I do not blame your father either. He took up a monumental task that was not his to blame in any regard-” The King would offer kindly then- “but rather he was fighting a very difficult tide. He tried his best, and that is all that could be asked.” And so days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. The girl threw herself into her studies, engaging in a wardship under the King’s Palatine to teach her the arts of leadership and governance. She frequented the libraries, delving into historical accounts of great leaders and their conquests. She began attending court sessions, observing the King's decisions and the dynamics of power. But fate has a penchant for its own twists. Her father had lost the fire long ago, leaving nothing but ash in his heart. And the evening after her declaration, her father– her rock of guidance– vanished without a trace. Search parties held by the House scoured, but he seemed to have been swallowed by the shadows. The girl ablaze was thrust into a role she had not anticipated so soon. Alone and burdened with responsibility, she now faced the colossal task of restoring her family's honor and status. ━━━─━────༺༻────━─━━━ Seasons passed and the girl unceasingly grew into her position as Matriarch of the Commoner House of Amador. Within her position, she answered a call from her Mother in Sedan- a call for aid to the growing Principality. With her ablaze heart, she gathered her siblings, Airomar and Ilaria- both eager for adventure-, and embarked on a journey to answer that beckoning call. Sedan welcomed them with cobbled streets that whispered tales of the past and sprawling castles that seemed to touch the heavens. The woman’s mother, a figure of bittersweet memories and tradition, embraced her children with hesitation- as they were firmly Haeseni. They were home, in a sense, surrounded by echoes of their maternal roots. The siblings found themselves captivated by Sedan's familial allure, and soon they were drawn into the world of governance, each taking up positions that suited their unique skills. The girl’s unwavering determination in particular led her to the Princess’ court, where she stood firmly by the Royal’s side to aid in event planning and counseling. She furthermore worked to rekindle with family lost by distance and time, as if the threads of their lineage were being carefully woven back together. But fate has a penchant for its own twists. Just as the family found their rhythm, a sudden darkness descended upon Sedan. The King, a figure of stability, passed away, leaving the kingdom in turmoil. His wife, the Queen, disappeared, and with her, the stability that had anchored Sedan's future. The woman’s fire wavered, its flames flickering as the future she had envisioned for herself and her family dimmed. The once-golden threads of possibility seemed to unravel. In the wake of uncertainty, she made a choice that reflected her inner strength: to retreat to a quaint countryside home. Nestled among rolling hills and blossoming meadows, the woman found solace in the embrace of nature. There, she married and gave birth to two daughters, watching their laughter dance amidst wildflowers. Time, like a wise sage, unveiled its truths. Her husband's passing marked a turning point. The eldest daughter, with a visage too akin to the woman’s, carried an unlit torch in her heart. If Amador were to succeed and fulfil her Kingly promise made all those years ago- they could not be fulfilled here and not with this flame-less heir. And so she packed their lives into cherished memories and embarked on a journey back to their ancestral land. ━━━─━────༺༻────━─━━━ The young heir, Nataliya, stood before her mother, the current Matriarch. Her eyes were wide as saucers, reflecting the mix of anxiety and trepidation swirling within her. The room, adorned with rich silks and lined bookshelves, seemed to hush in reverence as the weight of tradition and destiny pressed upon Mother and Dotre. Listen well, Nataliya," the mother's voice carried the resonance of generations past, firm and aggravated. She blocked the door- yet regally, her posture straight and demeanour poised, though shadows of fatigue danced within her eyes. "Ea will only say it once, ag if vy do niet like it- vy ought to leave this house ag never come back.” The mother would pause, watching the child’s fear fester and grow- yet holding her still to listen keenly. “As the heir to our matriarchy, vy cannot frolic as the other children do. Laughter and play are privileges the heavens have stolen from vy, a weight now rests upon vyr shoulders. Ag if vy can niet comprehend that, Liridona will take vyr place easily." Gravity was noticed within the mother's words, like chains being fastened around Nataliya’s innocence. She looked at the tapestries that lined the walls, each depicting ancestral leaders of bygone eras- all with stern gazes and solemn expressions. The weight of their legacy was etched in every paint smear. The room's grandeur seemed to mock the dotre’s youthful desires, as the firelight flickered like the enigmatic dance of fate. Naught a word other than “Da, Mamej- ea understand, ea will stay.” was uttered- and with that the young girl was dismissed. Once alone, the mother's facade crumbled like ancient parchment. She slumped onto the bed, shoulders trembling, as the mask of strength slipped away. The feverish glow on her face revealed the truth hidden behind her resolute demeanor. Polio, a cruel visitor, had stolen her vitality, rendering her legs frail and weakening her resolve. The room's grand tapestries now seemed like specters of a life she was never allowed to lead, a life that was overshadowed by her own lineage's loss. The legacy she was meant to carry had become an anchor, chaining her to a destiny she hadn't chosen. But fate has a penchant for its own twists. The fire that had burned in her heart, the flame she had nurtured to guide her house to glory, now flickered like a dying ember. ━━━─━────༺༻────━─━━━ Nataliya… she's gone, mamej" the weeping Liridona’s voice cracked, her words heavy with sorrow. Yet, the girl’s mother looked on with a stern disposition, answering in turn with a distant sympathy, mistaking her for a stranger. Her brow furrowed, her voice filled with concern. "Yam sorry, but vy must have eam mistaken, for Yam niet vyr mamej- yet vy have mea condolences for this– Nataliya, vy speak of.” She’d clear her throat then, looking onwards to the lady before her- who had begun to cry. “Ea come to ask if vy have seen mea Father- Filip Amador. Ea have very important news to tell him. Ea must find him.” Tears filled the dotre’s eyes as she reached out, trying to bridge the gap that separated their understanding. "Mother, it's me, vyr dotre. Please! Filip is dead, do vy niet understand?" The mistaken woman shook her head, confusion deepening as she offered words of comfort. "Oh, my dear, Yam so sorry for your pain- again. But you must understand, Filip Amador is very much alive. Do niet spread such lies- vy torment eam so!” the aged woman would begin to weep alongside her dotre, the sundowning she was enduring drawing a deep divide that could not be crossed. The daughter's heart ached, her grief deepening as she tried ceaselessly to bridge that divide. The elder turned to flee, to escape the unbearable confusion that enveloped her. But her steps led her not to escape, but to collision. She collided with a figure, a young boy with eyes that seemed to hold a spark of recognition. The boy, Henrik, said naught a word- looking between his Adeymamej and Hauchmamej with uncertainty. However, the aged woman’s gaze remained firmly fixed upon the boy- searching for something she seemed to recognize within him. A fire in his eyes, yes! She could not place why such was so noticeable, but unbeknownst to her this was the very babe she held in the church that day. The very heir she adamantly told her dotre she could not be present for and could not give any ounce of love to– as she had done to her dotre. She had apologized that day in the church, and the fire within continued to flicker out since then. The woman stood as merely a glass chamber to hold the candle flame that held her steady. ━━━─━────༺༻────━─━━━ ━━━ “ Ea forgive vy, ag Ea will tell mea Children of vyr Greatness. Don’t vy worry mamej.” -Nataliya Amador- ━━━─━────༺༻────━─━━━ Eyes aged to the colour of moonlight eyes snapped awake. A shiver ran through Olessya’s frail frame, her heart racing with an inexplicable fear that seemed to seep from her dreams into reality. With trembling hands, she reached out for the bedpost, pulling herself up despite the protest of her Polio-ridden legs. The effort was immense, her determination unwavering even as her body faltered. She clung to the post, her knuckles white, as she steadied herself. Her ashen head gazed upwards from the floor to her front, catching the steady gaze of unfamiliar eyes. Her reflection in the mirror across the room held a stranger's gaze. Confusion clouded Olessya’s own eyes as if the mirror held a portal to a world she couldn't comprehend. Her hands flew to her face, touching her skin as if to confirm her own existence. The woman in the mirror was but an echo, a wisp of memory lost in the fog of dementia. The scream that pierced the air drew Airomar like a moth to a dying flame. Panic etched lines on his aged face as he rushed into her room, his eyes locking onto the figure that once bore his sister's soul. "Olessya" he cried, voice laced with a mixture of concern and sorrow. But she didn't see him as he truly was. Her gaze met his, yet recognition remained elusive. Her feet carried her forward, past him, as if his presence was but a mirage. The painting of their father, a cherished heirloom, crashed to the ground as she stumbled, leaving behind a trail of fallen memories. Olessya’s crazed dash took her through the doorway, out into the city's maze of cobbled streets. The unfamiliar faces, the bustling market stalls, a looming church– none of it resonated with her. Her surroundings felt alien, a tapestry woven with threads of strangers. She sprinted onward, heedless of the curious glances cast her way. Her breath grew ragged, her heart pounding not only from the exertion but also from the growing terror that twisted her senses. The world she knew had slipped away, leaving her adrift in an abyss of confusion. The bridge emerged like a lifeline before her, a path leading somewhere unknown. She approached its edge, the river's surface mirroring her own turbulent thoughts. Desperation etched lines upon her face, and with a voice that trembled with equal parts anguish and plea, she cried out to the skies and the heavens that she no longer recognized. "Seven skies. GODDAN! Save me now—PLEASE!" Her frail form seemed suspended for a moment, as if time itself held its breath. Then, with a final, desperate gasp, she tumbled over the ledge and into the cold embrace of the water below. Ripples spread across the river's surface, a silent requiem for a life that had been lost to the currents of memory and time. Haense continued its morning routine, unaware of the tragedy that had unfolded at the bridge. And Olessya’s body floated for a moment, a fragile vessel cast adrift in the river's embrace. Her face, now peaceful, gazed upward, the burdens of her earthly existence finally relinquished- eschewed of mortal existance. The freezing waters taking her under, the flickers of fire left in her heart extinguishing under the current. ━━━─━────༺༻────━─━━━ From Ashes, We Rise ━━━

  11. A BRIEF HISTORY OF HOUSE OF AMADOR 1350 A.H. - Present NOD PEPEL, ASERE PODNIMAT’SYAN From Ashes, We Rise — By Nataliya Mariya Amador, 10th Baroness of Mondstadt, Albus Henrik Brian Amador, & Aleksandr Audemar. — FOREWORD & INTRODUCTION The House of Amador is an Ancient Noble House in annals of recorded history, starting from the times of Asulon through to the present day, now residing in the Dual Kongzem of Hanseti-Ruska. The History of the Amadors has mostly been passed down in the verbal tradition within the early years of the House, with only sporadic missives and histories made by Patriarchs and Kinsmen alike, making a study of the Amadors a challenge to understand, analyse and evaluate from an historiographic and ethnographic perspective. In spite of these troubles, we pen this history of the House of Amador. We do not intend this to be a definitive edition of the House’s History, but rather an insight into the wider scope of its origins and its trials among history’s restless tides. A more definitive edition may be published in time. “BUT HE WAS AN AMADOR, IF ANYONE COULD PAY, HE COULD” AYLWIN BLAXTON, BOOK III, CHAPTER XXIX THE BIRTH OF HOUSE AMADOR | C.1350 The History of the House of Amador starts with the founders, Jack and Jiraiya Amador, back in the lands of Asulon. Travelling down the Eastern coast from the Malin’or borderlands down to the Heartlands, it is assumed that the House started as ethnic Adunians, a point later believed true with the extensive lifespan of Jiraiya Amador and other Kinsmen. There, the Amadors founded the settlement of Vendere, near the Kingdoms of Renatus and Salvus. Through a careful consolidation of the Archipelago, which became known as the Renatus Holy Lands, after a meteor shower littered the Island chain in strange debris which became known as Moon-rocks, the Amadors merged the two settlements of Vendere and Ceru into the County of Crestfall, as well as the conquest of the rest of the archipelago after a steady build up of naval supremacy in the region, the House of Amador rose to the status of a Duchy within the First Holy Orenian Empire. However, the time of the Founders was not without its trials. The Cleansing at Crestfall by the Order of the White Rose, a Holy Order of Knights that the Amadors had within its lands, killed off many heathens and heretics in their city. Likewise, Jiraiya Amador and other Amadors were known to have been involved in the Malin Slave Trade, with Jack Amador briefly having owned a dark elf slave. It is also believed that Jack Amador married a daughter of the Royal House of Hightower. Towards the end of the Descendants’ time in Asulon, when plagues ravaged the lands of Horen and other natural disasters devastated the continent, the Emperor commissioned the creation of an Imperial Fleet from the House of Amador, who were known for their shipbuilding and which was subsequently used to transport Humanity to Elysium, Kalos and, eventually, Anthos. On those ships, the House of Amador also sailed, however, only half would survive the transition and subsequently arrive in Anthos. THE CURSE & THE SHADOWCOAST | C.1450 During the process of travelling to settle on a new land and found a new home, many of the Amadors, including one of the Founders, Jack Amador, died of unknown circumstances. Daniel Amador, a Kinsmen of the House, wrote in a diary of his voyage across the Seas, to the Elysium, Kalos and to Anthos. In this diary, of which only a few pages remain, he states that “An Evil followed them [The Amadors] from the Old World”, which led all Amador Ancestors to believe that the House had become cursed by some ill-designing entity. After arriving on the Eastern side of Anthos, in an area known as the Shadowcoast, the Amador Ships arrived. Gaunt and tired, but still extremely wealthy from their time in Asulon, the House Patriarch, Tristan Amador, attempted to curry favour with the Lord Farley Stafyr & the King of Oren to gain new lands and titles to their House. Within time, James Amador, Tristan’s Son, was named Baron of the Shadowcastle, following service to the House of Stafyr and the Kingdom of Oren. However, following an apocalyptic flood, the House of Amador’s flame was washed out and they did not receive landed title again until over a century after. FIRST ASHES - A HOLY KNIGHT AND HIS KIN | C.1500 The Line of James Amador continued as merchants and tradesmen, maintaining a bourgeois lifestyle despite losing their lands and titles, slowly building wealth in the background to rekindle their flame. Despite being washed by the Flood, An Amador Holy Knight named Ser Arthur the First, who had sworn Holy Vows before the Church of the Canon & had served during the Carrion Kingdom & Chivay Empire still shone brightly as one of the few of the Amadors to retain any influence or position within Humanity. He would be called to arms in the Duke’s War and the Schism War, during which time he had one child, who would also be named Arthur. This Line of Arthur Amadors would continue on towards the Seventeenth Century, mainly serving in a martial capacity as Knights, Warriors, and Royal Guards. However, they did not carry the House into further Nobility until the turn of the Century when Christopher Amador was made a Baron under the Duke of Marna. Christopher’s Line became extinguished following the founding of the Sixth Holy Orenian Empire. FIRST RISING - REKINDLING THE EMBERS | C.1650 Ruslan the First, Son of Mylander Amador and of the Line of James Amador regained nobility prior to the turn of the Seventeenth Century, founding what would become the Ancestral Seat of the House, Mondstadt, the settlement of the Moon. It was he who coined the House Words “From Ashes, We Rise” and the First to Move the House to the Lands of the Hanseni. However, he is also known for having participated in the Deep Cold Rebellion against the Fifth Holy Orenian Empire, but was not subsequently punished for his participation. It is not an understatement to claim that, with Ruslan, many of the House’s Stereotypes were established: A Northern house, good with money, and willing to fight. His Son, Ramdir the First, was most notable for whom he married, rather than his own accomplishments. He married Anna Sophia Jrent-Warlai, who would eventually become Queen Anna Sophia of Lotharingia, a woman who seized the Southron Kingdom in a fractious civil war. Though this happened after Ramdir had died. He was also known for being a Martial Lord who fought in the Coalition War and was murdered at Johannesburg by Officials of the Fifth Holy Orenian Empire in the follow-up to the Independence of Haense. FIRST FADING EMBERS - BACK TO THE HEARTLANDS | C.1620 Owyn “Iron-Fist” Amador, Son of Ramdir, began his reign as Baron of Mondstadt while under-aged. His Kinsmen, Dorm Amador, served as regent during his early reign. Owyn’s Story was recorded partially by the penmanship of his Household Diplomat, Aylwin Blaxton. For his services to the Dual Kongzem of Hanseti-Ruska, he was made a Count, but subsequently lost Mondstadt following the Great Northern War. He would eventually move the House of Amador south again, where he would work with others to aid in the formation of the Sixth Holy Orenian Empire. During the time of the Great Northern War, Owyn Amador was not able to spend much time with his sons, Henrik & Ruslan. Following his death after securing the Title of Count of the Blackfen & Gravelhold Castle, Henrik the First became the House Patriarch. Another military Amador, Henrik became a Marshal of the Sixth Holy Orenian Empire and subsequently funded its entire military. He married Princess Artemis Palaiologos de Savin, thanks to his high station, however, following a disagreement with the Emperor, he resigned as Marshal to maintain his honour and died on the field of battle during the Third Urguan-Oren War. During his tenure, Jack Amador, Son of Owyn, became Pontiff Clement III. His Twin, Ruslan the Second, was already Steward of the Sixth Holy Orenian Empire by the time of his ascension. But given the state of the Empire following the poor decisions of the Imperial Crown, his station and lands were soon taken. He did not marry and had no children of his own, the line reverted to the Children of Henrik the First. Henrik’s Son, Rennard Mylander Amador, did not survive long, so the line passed to a daughter for the first time in Amador History. SECOND ASHES - A WORLD'S WEIGHT ON A MOTHER | C.1650 Katherine Amelia Amador, Daughter of Henrik the First and Princess Artemis Palaiologos, had an unfortunate life. The daughter of an Amador and a Palaiologos de Savin, she ended up moving to Santegia after her wishes to return to her Marian roots were rebuffed. Attempting to keep her grieving mother company whilst maintaining the family name, she would eventually marry matrilineally to Bastian Greyson, with whom she would father the future Henrik the Second. While the House’s fortunes were depleted and the House did not garner the level of respect it had enjoyed previously, Katherine was able to set up businesses in Santegia which still afforded her a comfortable lifestyle. The marriage with her husband was thought to have been strained due to his work as a Mercenary, leaving his wife and child alone for long periods of time. In this crucible, the next generation would take command. SECOND RISING - REKINDLING THE EMBERS | C.1700 In Atlas, Henrik Amador, styling himself Henrik the Second, laid claim to the family name. He was initially not the heir of the House, as his mother preferred to name Rebekah, his sister, the heir. Having been one generation removed from the last known Amador Lord, he considered his claim to nobility tenuous. Once he was of age, Henrik II claimed Patriarchy upon the passing of his Mother. However, Upon arriving in Arcas, he garnered a reputation as an explorer and adventurer, best told in the Story “Amadoria”. He soon-after regained nobility status for the House of Amador after the Ludovar Trial, retaking Mondstadt, and married a Santegian princess, Tamar of Biscay, with whom he had four sons: Ruslan, Albert, Edvard and Karl. Ruslan the Third continued bearing the torch of the Amadors that his father had lit so brazenly. Under his reign as Baron of Mondstadt and living in a stately manor with extensive lands outside of New Reza, Ruslan kindled his relationships inside the family, notably with Edvard and Rennard Amador, both of whom would become Royal Treasurers, with the former becoming known either as the Golden Banker or the Tax-man, depending on where others stood in contrast to the House of Amador. However, Ruslan the Third did not pass Mondstadt to a son, but his daughter. BURNING AT THE BRIGHTEST | C.1775 Baroness Sosina Amador, the sixth Amador to hold a title, was the first female to actively hold a landed title in the history of the House. Despite being a known beauty in her own right, she did not seek to impose a Matriarchy like her Ancestor, Katherine Amelia. Instead, she would marry a Baruch and have two sons. She is also known for two strange events that occurred during her tenure. The first was an unknown Haunting at Mondstadt Manor, in which she claimed the place was cursed, with personas in paintings moving and a curious relic being supposedly to blame. The other was the manner of her death: A bee sting, which is believed to have caused Anaphylaxis. Lady Ingrid Barclay nee Amador was the sister to Baroness Sosina, known for taking up regency of Mondstadt until the young Ramdir was old enough to reign. Ingrid was the second female high Seneschal within the Kongzem of Haense and worked hard to establish a more stable stewarding system, preventing stewards from stealing money from the Crown. Throughout her regency, she dedicated all of her efforts to the House of Amador, hosting various events within the Barony. SECOND FADING EMBERS - REGENTS, REGRETS, REGRESS | C.1800 Under the Regency of his Aunt, Iyngrid Barclay vas Amador, the greatest achievement of Ramdir’s reign took place: the House of Amador was elevated to the status of Viscommital title, thus making Ramdir the 1st Viscount of Aurveldt. While an achievement, not much of it can be credited to Ramdir himself. It was only two years after the House was given this title, that a thirteen year old Ramdir made his desire to marry the commoner, Valentina D’Airelle clear. Ramdir’s moniker of Ramdir the Reject came from Valentina abandoning him. By the time the regency had ended, the young Bossir’s reputation with not only the rest of the nobility, but also his own kin had been tainted severely. It was during this period that the Troll Wars began, an era which saw the frontier of the Kongzem threatened severely by excessive raids from the Rimetrolls. During this period Ramdir, in an attempt to fix his reputation and the damages done to that of his house, demanded to be given the position of Lord Treasurer. While intended for the betterment of his family and the Kongzem they served, it only helped further confirm to the Courts that Ramdir was an unreliable, and perhaps self-centred figure. During the Troll Wars, Ramdir did serve within the Brotherhood to aid in Haense’s defence. To both his, and many other soldiers’ detriment he may have in the end been responsible for the deaths of many of his fellow servicemen. In the end, his Family would force his abdication in favour of his eldest son. Viscount Isaak Amador was betrothed at a young age to Lady Eleanor Baruch, an arrangement first proposed by her father the Duke Ruslan Baruch. Isaak’s reign was most notably one of political involvement and diplomacy. He was one of the original three founding members of the Attenlund Union. This Union came to be in wake of the Mountain Troll attacks on the frontier vassals of the Kongzem. Most notably, House Amador, Kortrevich and Mondblume. The focus of this pact was to fortify the position of the frontier Houses. Later on, Isaak saw himself involved in the successor to the aforementioned back, the Ducal Union. Isaak, amongst the other signatories and founders of the latter pact are remembered for their direct involvement in the demotion of House Barclay, a move which sparked controversy all throughout the nobility. Both the Attenlund and Ducal Unions set precedents throughout the Kongzem that the nobility could, if they wanted to band together to achieve their political goals. Besides this, Isaak also took on both the position of Royal Inquisitor within the Duma and Jovenaar, further pushing his political career. Isaak’s time as Vikomit was fruitful when it came to his own political gains and career, but mainly notable for the achievements of the Ducal Union. During this time, House Amador found some stability, but nothing noteworthy beyond inner-nobility diplomacy came as a result of Isaak’s reign. THIRD ASHES - SWINDLED AND SHUTTERED | C.1900 Following the death of Eleanora Baruch, a sorrow-riddled Isaak decided it was best for the Viscounty to be passed onto his eldest son, Aleksandr Amador. During this time however, Aleksandr was still a child in the eyes of the Kongzem. The position of regency was handed not towards Isaak’s brother, but instead his nephew Josef Karl. Josef’s reign as regent, only lasting a handful of years, saw no noteworthy events take place for the House. It served instead as a period of quiet, before Aleksandr Amador would be allowed to take control over the family at the age of fourteen. It is not known where Josef went after his regency had ended, but it is assumed he retired from public life soon after. Aleksandr Amador was the third Viscount of Aurveldt, well known for being mischievous during his youth, perhaps as a result of the absence of his parents whilst growing up. Along with his younger brother Filip, the two created a rivalry where they played various tricks on one another, going as far as making deals with other children of nobility to fuel the competition. The young Amador’s reign would seem tragic to most, the absence of his parents weighed heavily on Aleksandr and whilst he tried to uphold the family and his responsibilities as a peer, he’d eventually shutter himself away from the public eye and abdicate to his younger brother, Filip. Filip Amador was best known for the fall of House Amador during the reign of King Karl III. Though he spent much of his time dedicated to the Duma, writing various bills, it would not be long before his reign came to an end as his lack of leadership skills and controversial behaviour left the house to fall into chaos. The House of Amador was stripped from its land and titles which would later be given to their cousins the Bishops, creating a feud between the families. Not long after, Filip would embark on a final hunting trip, never to return again and presumably considered dead, leaving the young Olessya Amador in charge of her declining house. Under the guiding hand of Olessya Amador The family sought to settle down within their cousin’s lands, the Principality of Sedan, with the promise from Prince Joseph to be named noble once more in return for helping establish the newly built principality. Olessya and her sister Ilaria quickly funnelled into the Sedanian courts, being close advisors to the Princess-Consort, Augustina, and aiding their kin in any way they were able to. However, with such promises came disappointment as despite all their efforts as one of the more active houses within Sedan, they were refused nobility. It was not long before the crown prince abdicated and the principality fell into turmoil. THIRD RISING - THE PHOENIX RISES | C.1920 Following the collapse of Sedan, the Matriarch of the House, Olessya Amador decided to move back to the Dual Kongzem of Hanseti-Ruska, where she purchased a Townhouse with what little of the Amador fortune remained. Knowing that there were more of her kin than her immediate family, she summoned all of the Amadors across Almaris to gather at the Townhouse, to consolidate the family and work towards the rebuilding of their fortune & noble status. Such action brought many kinsmen back to the fold, Ramdir Amador and his Sons, Emiliya Amador and her son, as well as her elderly mother and sister, Ilaria. With this done, she began to teach her daughter, Nataliya, how best to reign as Matriarch, should the time come when she would be required to take the mantle. The Current Matriarch of the House of Amador, Nataliya Mariya, otherwise known as “The Phoenix” for her Red Hair (a physical trait stereotypically uncommon to the Amadors generally) is the 10th Baroness of Mondstadt. Through the efforts of herself and her kin, she successfully revived the House’s standing within the Naumarian Kongzem, as well as supporting her kin upon the discovery of the Ludwig Affair and House Bishop’s involvement within it. The Baroness has also spent much time reforming the Office of Immigration, a project she continues to work hard towards. During most recent years, Nataliya Amador worked tirelessly to support the kongzem by leading her kinsmen onto the battlefield against the Mori’quesser threat while wielding the sword of her Ancestor, Henrik I. Despite the eventual loss of their homelands, she continues to lead her family through unknown lands to guide the house of Amador towards a brighter future. May the Lord on High Bless her Reign as Matriarch. From Ashes, We Rise. 13. The Amadorian Wardens * The Warden Commander overlooking the Battlefield with his sergeant telling him the phrase.* "A Warden always stands united, united against snow and steel" History of the Wardens The Amadorian Wardens originated from the Amadorian Guard & the Steward of House Amador, Lord Dorm Amador, who gave the highest ranking guard at the time the promotion of Commander. Commander Farsight sought to make the guard more unique. He brought ranks, a renovated tower area and more guards to the Barony. The Wardens follow the Lord of House Amador into battle, and so it forever shall be: "For he who gave us homes and food shall we spill our blood for" The Battle of Mount Gorgon, circa 1590 Ranks Commander: The Commander is the highest rank in among the Wardens, and so it holds much respect but has great responsibilities as the Commander needs to tend to the Wardens and have close relations to Lord Amador. There can only be one Commander. This rank shall go back to Lord Amador once the current Commander dies, and then Lord Amador must pick another high ranking Warden to become Commander. Current Holder: Sandry Farsight Bannerwarden The bannerwarden is the highest rank to get if there is already a Commander. The bannerwarden holds sway over the recruits and is the Warden’s recruiter. It is his job to get fresh blood for the wardens. This rank can only be given to one. Sergeant These are the elite fighting force of the Wardens, and are considered the trainers of the recruits. They’re teaching the recruits how to do battle, for they are the elite. They can ward a recruit and guide him on his way up. Wardens Wardens are those who have shown loyalty, bravery and been to many battles under the Amadorian Wardens. They are veterans to combat but keep the peace in the barony. Man-At-Arms ( Shieldmaiden for females ) They’re no strangers to battle but still have a few things to learn or to show they’re truly loyal. They haven’t fought many battles, but all and all these are one of the most occupied ranks. They are the backbone of the Wardens, the same for Footman. Footman Footman are those who just haven’t shown their skill in battle, showed their loyalty to the Baron or haven’t been training much. Of course, that is because Footman are one of the lowest tiers, but are still one of the few most occupied ranks. Recruit The fresh blood who just go recruited get sorted into the recruit rank, they have much to show but with time they will learn fast. They must train, show their loyalty by staying in and around the barony, and must come to battle with us if they want to get promoted. They can be warded by Sergeants. Junior For those who aren’t sixteen, there is always the rank of Junior. Those Junior-ranked are kids who are being tutored by the Wardens. The minimum age is 12 and then you serve 4 years as a Junior and you graducate to become a Man-At-Arms.
