  1. [!] The following is personal character information, that would not be known to anyone. Do not metagame. Khazaefron walked through the fae gardens of Hefrumm. The beautiful colors of the forest brushed the vision. The smell of the flowers filled the air, it was as smelling the fragrance of Belka’s hair. As they continued the walk Khazaefron came upon an old tree, this was no ordinary tree however, this tree was the tree of a fellow dwarven epiphyte of the Blackroot clan, one that was now dead and gone. When their comrade died they did not come back in a new form, their tree just slowly died out. “Anbella has released you of service sooner than expected eh?” Khazaefron would place their hand over the tree. “Yer service to Anbella es at an end kin, may ye enjoy tha eternal reward en her realm.” As he did this a surge of sorrow and anger flowed through them, the idea of loosing another clan mate fogged their mind. Khazaefron would slam their fist into the dead tree cracking the old bark opening a layer that was still not as decayed yet. The breach started to leak resin onto their fist. A reflection of themselves shone through the resin but it was not the face of Khazaefron that was looking back at them, it was the face of Karl Blackroot. “Is this what has become of my clan?” He said. “Is this what has become of me?” “Is this worth tha deaths our forest dwed brothas and sistas?” “We rebuilt their kingdom knowing fullwell et wes nevah fer us to rule, tha es woi we stayed ‘efrumm.” “Es ‘aving a forest dwed wearing tha crown ef tha outlanders worth tha state of our folk?” Khazaefron shook their head. “No, et be neccesareh fer tha forest dwed to choose their own path.” Karl would stare through the sap into Khazaefron his image slowly turning into Mao’s. “Is this the fate that you will allow to come to our uncle’s project? Are you to allow Hefrumm to slowly die? Let its roots dry out? What will happen when the Blackroots, the roots of Hefrumm, the roots that connect what was is and will be, what happens when these roots dry out?” Khazaefron frowned. “A’ will net allow et to ‘appen. A’ will serve ‘efrumm, we will always be ‘ere to ‘elp our folk remembah whot wes, our memoreh will nevah banish.” “Will you tho?” answered Mao. “Have you not already forgotten your fallen epiphyte dwed, all those that died because of the hatred of the outlanders towards us? Towards the forest dwed wae ef life.” “A’ ‘ave net forgotten, a’ will nevah forget.” Khazaefron lashed back. Asketil’s image would appear over Mao’s in the resin. “Aye…we will net forget.” Khazaefron would snap out of their vision. With a new found determination they would drain the resin from the dead tree. In their work place they would go over the books of Karl looking for anything and all things for inspiration, with Karl’s determination and imagination they though and imagined the old arts of the forest dwed, those arts lost in the blood age due to the genocide and cultural extermination of the forest dwarves. “Amber…” said Karl in Khazaefron’s mind. “We could recreate the gifts of Anbella which is found in Grimdugan’s depths.” Responded Mao. “Weth tha dwed foundries and Mossborn smithing, we surely ‘av tha technologeh and skills to recreate et!” Answered Asketil. Through the roaring fires of the dwed forges and intense pressures created by their machinery Khazaefron formed the resin into a gem like substance, a copal material. They would lift the material above their head being able to look at their own reflection through the transparent material. In the copal he would see a young Karl Cottonwood in his non-epiphyte form being touched by the lady of the forest and turning into an epiphyte and the first Blackroot High Chief, they could see the gifts of the depths of Grimdugan being granted to the young Mao for his faithful thievery, they could see the Asketil’s training under the Mossborn smiths. All of them coalesced to reflect Khazaefron’s image back to them. For four years Khazaefron would work on the project, from the material creating an armor. It was amber in appearance, that treasured gem in Grimdugan’s realm gifted to him by the blood of Anbella’s trees. It was certainly not the strongest material just as strong as silver or gold. But just like these materials the amber held the power of the Brathmordakin, the power of symbolism and ideas. By this armor Khazaefron would make a vow one to their clan, Hefrumm, and the Brathmordakin, a vow to continue the Hefrumm project, to assist any and all those seeking to build upon it. Lastly, they also cut their palm and made a blood oath upon this armor. “By this blood that is also the blood of the Paragon, A’ swear tha a’ will see ye again uncle, and when a’ do a’ will stare ye en tha eyes as an equal. A’ will create a path tha will allow our forest kin to reach yer ‘ights so tha our folk can reach further beyond!” “Under these oaths, we place our purpose, undah thes armor we place our singulariteh. We be multiple, and we be one, a world made ef worlds, one en reflection ef Yemekar’s creation an ef Anbella’s Balance.” [!] Depiction of amber armor [!] Depiction of the different personas making up Khazaefron, including themselves.

  3. Abolition of the Blackcarrot Concordat and the Vassalization of the Cottonwood Clan 4th of the Amber cold of the 101st year of the Second Age This year we celebrated the 4th stone year of the founding of Hefrumm. It all started with a small Cottonwood Village in Atlas, that was part of the Confederation of Hammers. It decided to become its own entity, to welcome the forest dwarves that have roamed the mortal realms ever since the exile of Gloin Treebeard. Hefrumm is the first entity of its kind, never being seen before in dwarven history. For 225 years Hefrumm has withstood all sorts of crises and has served as a key player in the recreation of the new Grand Kingdom of Urguan alongside their comrades of the Confederation of Hammers’ and Grandaxes of Kal’Bogrin, who created Azgarumm. Hefrumm stands on the works of those forest dwarves that came before, most exemplary among them were those of the Cottonwood clan. Because of the service of Clan Cottonwood and sharing the same origins, Clan Blackroot accepted to vassalize Clan Cottonwood so that they may stay in the Chiefs’ Council. However, the anniversary of Hefrumm made me realize that the current version of the Cottonwood clan is not worthy to call itself the inheritors of Bjor’s legacy. During the leadership of the last Cottonwood Chief the clan died out, its culture did not develop in any way, and worst of all the Chief has been possessed multiple times by the wendigo spirit. As we know in Hefrumm possession by spirits comes from a failure of hunting with respect to Anbella’s Balance and towards the creatures one hunts. The Cottonwoods, being a clan that was back in the day based among other things around its hunting prowess, cannot be recognized in the current version of the clan. Because of this Clan Blackroot cannot recognise the current Cottonwood clan as a true representation of the beloved Cottonwood clan of Boldrumir, Bjor, Beorn, or any other Cottonwood chief. Hence, it is the decision of the Blackroot clan to end the vassalization of the Cottonwood clan. With the end of the vassalization, the Cottonwoods do not possess the necessary requirements to be part of the Chiefs’ Council and hence the clan returns to be solely part of the folk of Hefrumm. It is our deepest wish that the Cottonwoods return someday with the innovation they were known for, their friendly demeanor, and respect for Anbella’s realm. While this does not happen Clan Blackroot will continue to keep up the Cottonwood legacy that is inherited through Freya Cottonwood the mother of our founder. This abolition of the vassalization and the loss of position of the Cottonwood clan will only be canceled if the Cottonwoods elect a new Chief of their clan. One that will be an active presence in the village and will be able to guide the Cottonwood beardlings and returning members that wish to settle Hefrumm. If these demands are not met then the Blackroot clan cannot in good conscience keep in a position of power a chief that is no chief at all and that does not keep true to the Cottonwood customs, customs we Blackroot honor as they too are part of our heritage. Asketil Chief of the Blackroots, heir of Freya Cottonwood, Seer of Hefrumm, Prophet of Belka
  4. ~ Where The Forest Reaches The Mountain ~ [!] An invitation would hang on the Notice Board of Urguan and Tree Trunks of Hefrumm. A detailed drawing of the Dwarven Mountainside covered by a forest. The first decade of Almaris has proven abundant for the prodigious mountain ranges and vast forests of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Hefrumm, the village of the forest dwarves, now being closer than ever to the capital city, Kal’Darakaan, has brought a great merge of culture between all of Yemekar’s children. A testament to the fruitful future of all Kazad’mar, Belka has now brought forth a union of Agnarumm and Hefrumm through marriage. Rarely is there time for revelry and joy in the world of politics, more often than not when one takes on a role to serve their people, their life is dedicated to duty and compromise. The High Chief of Hefrumm proves that this though, is not always the case. With Anbella’s guidance, she has found immense joy in caring for her people, guiding lost forest dwed home, and leading Hefrumm into an age of prosperity. With her duties firmly devoted to the future of all Hefrumm, the High Chief’s prospects of a family life have led her to a lengthy courtship with a charming Agnarumm. Most days spent welcoming guests from behind the bar or knees deep in fermented ale, the Iron Baron of Urguan has dedicated his life to serving the patrons of the Queen’s Bounty and crafting the unique brews he devises deep within the Grandaxe Clan Hall Brewery. He helps guide the nation towards prosperity through The Brewers’ Guild of Urguan, training the next group of Kazad’mar in the art of brew making. When The Iron Baron was blindsided by Belka’s blessing he quickly found himself elated at the prospect leading him into a lengthy courtship with an alluring Hefrumm. After many years, the two have decided to join together in marriage under the eyes of the Brathmordakin. The Marriage between The High Chief of Hefrumm, Chief of the Blackroot Clan, and Seer of the Brathmordakin, Yazmorra Blackroot, and The Iron Baron and Grand Brewmaster of Urguan, Levian’Tol Grandaxe will take place within the halls of Kal’Darakaan with the ceremony being held inside The Temple of The Worldmaker. The revelry is not limited to just the Kazad’mar of Urguan, but the invitation extends to all those across Almaris who wish for good food, great drinks, and better company. To begin the celebration, prior to the ceremony, the couple will participate in a Lover’s Brawl in the Grand Arena of Kal’Darakaan. A tradition of Da Seers Eron Hefruth, the brawl will symbolize Belka’s blessing of strength in love. Following the duel, the pair will freshen up and make their way to Temple for the wedding ceremony. With an addition of Seer customs to a traditional Da Kirkja Dverga ceremony, the pair will declare a blood oath followed by an exchanging of silver rings atop their wedding bands in Anbella’s honor. The celebration will then conclude with a feast in the Queen’s Bounty. Anbella’s warmest blessings to those who attend. Signed by, Iron Baron and Grand Brewmaster of Urguan Levian'Tol Grandaxe High Chief of Hefrumm, Seer of the Brathmordakin, and Chief of The Blackroot Clan Yazmorra Blackroot [!] Several small Wood Sparrows would deliver special invitations to the hands or mailboxes of multiple individuals outside of Urguan’s borders.
