  1. [!] the emblem of Artel von Theonus The following is the written account of Sir Artel von Theonus and his time in the form of a raven Would you like to see a magic trick? Those who know me know I have a deep love for the arcane and that night in the forest I was asked such a question. I thought “what could i learn from saying no to the elf and his staff?” and so I agreed and for his magic trick this elf turned my human form into that of a raven. I was gifted with the power of flight and for once was able to see Aevos from the skies above, but what terrible truth I had yet to discover. For I was given a task, a simple task, to be a wingman, this act would lift the curse or I must wait two saints days and so I used this time to "play bird" . I flew across the lands, seeing all I could from heights once unreachable. But every second I did I grew closer to a great danger, little did I know what would soon befall me. A goal met Little did I know that a small but simple task, one that I would do regardless of my form, to guide a friend to Veletz, would be enough to break my curse. But it seemed that the curse itself did not know of such for I remained in the form I was placed within. A curse broken Only once my time in that form neared its end did the true horrors begin, there I perch within a friends house, speaking to them about my adventure when a great voice from above spoke and my head pounded "Accursed" it said, followed by the claws of a yet unseen beast attacking the wall next to me. Much to the horror of those nearby, my curse now seemed far more evil then anyone had yet thought possible. My friends spurred into action by the sudden shift in my shadow, it had taken the form of a owl that now stalked my every move my mind racing not with worry but instead once more my mind wished to learn more of this curse it was then I was told maybe simply telling a couple of a date idea may work to break the curse, this is when my curse was broken in the oddest of ways… The Clause Two things happened very quickly, first a dictionary was summoned from my shadow, this strange force would find the term “wingman” and find out my small trip to Veletz was indeed enough to break it, when I was told by this voice that “According to Clause Eight Section I of the Heavenly Realm Act: Designation of Curses” that an error had been made by a group known as the Hawayanism Pantheon and that I was owed an apology. And thus my curse was lifted and I was once more returned to human form, while it was an adventure that I will never forget and I am glad to be myself again, I shall miss the freedom I was given for that time.
  2. Background/Origin Electric evocation is a voidal magic that voidal mages have developed over the many years that voidal mages have been a thing. It’s the art of casting an idea into the void but this idea not being an element like fire, earth, air or water but a random event that may or may not happen, that of a bolt booming from the sky and shocks the ground below. Mages only sought to harness this violent event to obtain power from it, but little did they know that there is more to this event than a simple booming bolt, this dying art is the art of electric evocation. Magic Explanation Electric Evocation works by casting the idea of static electricity into the void using the willpower of the mage and their mana to go with to create and replicate that of the real world static charge. This static charge can be slowly shaped into something which the mage wishes it to be. As electricity is normally invisible, this isn’t the case for electric evocation, sparks can be visually seen around the casting point of the mage due to the sparks and the danger which is this magic these sparks can harm the mage if not controlled properly. This would mean that electric evocation is more draining magic than the other evocations, rather than taking small amounts of mana from the mage would feel twice as tired from performing this magic within a combat setting, making the magic as a whole a hard controlled magic. Electric Evocation takes up [1] Magic slot, is not a feat. Electric Evocation requires a stable connection to the void and enough mana to statin it. Electric Evocation is a subclass of Evocation which classes it as a Voidal Magic Electric Evocation can be learned from an active [TA] in the magic. Electric Evocation users must hold a valid [MA] to use in-game. Electric Evocation requires someone to already have a voidal magic to start learning. Properties of Electric Electric evocation properties are ranging from a burn to a numbness upon the skin, due to the element itself being a randomly occurring event, performing any of the electrical evocation magic is a double-sided dagger, may cause more damage to the casting their the foe they wish to fight. Static can only do a max of a 3rd-degree burn Static will cause numbness to the body which it has been aimed towards unless wearing something that conducts electricity Static being made from the void will return to the void if the connection is disrupted Static can travel through metals that conduct electricity, however, will not jump from person to person, but will cause numbness to the whole body of an armoured foe that wears something that conducts rather than a single limb. Electric Evocation cannot fry nerves. Electric Evocation cannot stop hearts or restart them. Unable to travel through liquids. Static can create force if concentrated Abilities/Spells [N] Conjure Sparks/Static The first ability which a mage learns when being taught electric evocation is the art of sparks and static. This being rather small in effect but flavorful a mage can invoke sparks or static in non-combative settings, slowly as the mage progressives through the tiers the mage can slowly learn how to manipulate their voidal static/sparks into different shapes which they desire. Mechanics Redlines [C] Shock When a mage has grasped the knowledge behind sparks, they can concentrate those sparks into their palms where it will only numb the limb of the person affected for a singular emote before the area is returned to normal leaving no visible marks. Mechanics Redlines [C] Static Ball When a mage focuses upon a singular point using their understanding of what is static to the point where they can mass this static/sparks into a mass towards their casting point, this mass is no larger than a baseball in size which throws at a speed of a crossbow shot. Mechanics Redlines [C] Static Bolt When a mage focuses upon a singular point using their understanding of what is static to the point where they can mass this static/sparks into a mass towards their casting point, this mass is no larger than a crossbow bolt in size which throws at a speed of a crossbow shot. Mechanics Redlines [C] Static Concentration When a mage focuses upon a small area in front of him/her and lets the static concentrate to the point where the air is superheated and there is no more static before a large shock wave is emitted mimicking the sound of thunder. Mechanics Redlines [C] Static Stream When a mage focuses upon a singular point using their understanding of what is static to the point where they can mass this static/sparks into a mass towards their casting point, this mass is a steady stream of pure static no more than a foot in diameter and 5 meters lengthwise in size which throws at a speed of a crossbow shot. Mechanics Redlines [C] Static Storm When a mage focuses upon a singular point using their understanding of what is static to the point where they can mass this static/sparks into a mass towards their casting point, this mass is a widespread area of static energy forming into a miniature thunderstorm which they release around themselves ( 10 block radius) which leaves the mage rendered useless as they are drained of all mana. Mechanics Redlines General Red Lines Unable to control real lighting/sparks/static. All aesthetic spells do not change the mechanics of the spell. All spells require line of sight as a range unless stated within a spell Tier Progression T1 Novice The new electrical evocationist has begun to learn how to use the most basic concepts of evocation and conjure nothing more than small sparks of electricity. Lasts two [OOC] weeks. Spells - Conjure Sparks/Static Skill level - Non-Combat spell has a maximum diameter of 1 meter at tier one, the detail level of static/sparks is non-existent at this level and one can only conjure a few sparks at most. This stage is typically used for the study of static itself rather than casting. T2 Apprentice The electrical evocationist has learnt the basics of evocation and is capable of conjuring a small group of sparks at a higher concentration. Lasts three [OOC] weeks. Spells - Conjure Sparks/Static, Shock Skill level - Non-Combat spell has a maximum radius of 2 meters at tier two, the detail level of static/sparks is very crude and practically non-existent at this level and one can only conjure a small concentration at most. This stage is typically where the first lessons of the real casting begin. T3 Adept The electrical evocationist has learnt all the basics of evocation and is capable of conjuring a small concentrated ball of pure static and conjuring for combative purposes. Lasts five [OOC] weeks. Spells - Conjure Sparks/Static, Shock, Static Ball Skill level - Non-Combat spell has a maximum radius of 5 meters at tier three, the detail level of static/sparks is crude at best at this level. This stage is typically where they start to grasp the basics on how to use their abilities more effectively in combative experiences and the colour of the static into colours that they choose. T4 Expert The electrical evocationist has learnt all the basics of evocation and is capable of conjuring high concentrations of static when needed and possesses far greater combative and non-combative capabilities.
