  1. OOC: ᚨ ᛊᚨᛁᛚ ᚱᛁᛊᛖᛊ| A SAIL RISES |ᚨ ᛊᚨᛁᛚ ᚱᛁᛊᛖᛊ A ship can be seen leaving the fjords of the west.. ___________________________ ___________________________ ♫ Green and white sails rise in the shadow of the western fjords. A dragon figure breaks through the waves of the western sea, dwarven men rowing oars through the difficult path. The dwarven raiders called a song that shook the neighbouring Crotsthadt. Drums strike as their opponent is ever closer to facing their shields and axes. You spot a young Ireheart sitting within the hull of the ship, the dragon at his back. His viewing of the fjords is halted by your sight. He takes a look at you, standing upon the mountain range opposite him. The raider's hand raises itself, beckoning you to join him. “COME JOIN US, IN DUNGRIMMS GLOREH!”
  2. ♫♪♫ - ᚠᚱᛟᛗ ᚨ ᚲᛟᛗᛗᛟᚾᛖᚱ - - ᛏᛟ ᚨ ᚲᛁᚾᚷ - A dwarf sets himself in the local tavern, placing an old and stained note that was to be stained once more by the mess of the table. His hands fiddled with an old pot completed with fresh ink, and a feathery quill which was recently plucked from a sleeping raven atop an old pine tree. The son of Urguan with the quill and his essence of writing, began to form a letter which was to be forwarded to the King of Norland, hoping to release himself from the boredom that the tension of nations have caused. A LETTER TO THE KING OF NORLAND Dearest Balon Eiriksson Ruric, and whoever it may concern, Excuse the peculiarity with which I write to you this very second. My name is Thráin son of a dwed with no name who recently gained the clan title of Frostbeard. The recent tensions have fueled my curiosity, and like a mad alchemist, I seek nothing more than to use this fuel to its absolute. It is why I propose the great delight of keeping you company for a half hour or more, drinking the coldest mead or the warmest tea. I am quite unsure which you prefer, for our beards, assuming you have one, have never met each other's comfort. I would rather we meet in person than call to eachother like two great birds singing across a vast open valley and make the echo of our voices do the work. Assuming they are legal in your kingdom, I will bring the finest of cactus, farmed from the southern sands where the Uruk’s sleep and together I expect us to light it ablaze until our lungs turn green and what's left turns to ash. You may choose the date, for you are the one who sits upon a throne. Sincerely, Thráin Frostbeard A simple miner and craftsmen of no titles and a father of no name.
  3. THE MOUNTAIN ALLIANCE Since the founding of Kal’Urguan the mountain dwed have been the foundation of the dwarves, from their many feats to their esteemed Paragons, the sons of Urguan have relied on the skill and determination of the mountain dwed. Back in the days of old, in the city of Kal'Karaad, Bastion Ireheart, Fili Grandaxe and Verthaik Frostbeard signed a bloodpact, bringing the mountain clans into an alliance, forging an unbreakable bond between Urguans kin. Decades later, the pact was renewed between Kerwyr Frostbeard, Fimlin Grandaxe and Gror Ireheart, once again bringing the clans close, and in return, making the Grand Kingdom much stronger than it was before. The pact was once again restored in Almaris between Bakir Ireheart, Kronk Stormheart, Argnos Frostbeard, and Thumbrindal Grandaxe So history shall repeat itself once again in Aevos, the mountain clans of Ireheart and Frostbeard shall sign a bloodpact in accordance with the following terms. 1. Signatories agree to support each other militarily if aggressed upon 2. Clans of the alliance formally agree to never employ hostility to each other, in the case of an act that cannot be ignored, the signatories shall meet to discuss a means of action. 3. Signatories shall not pledge allegiance to any sort of conflict without discussion. 4. Clans of the Mountain Alliance agree to support each other politically. 5. The Signatories of the alliance agree to meet every stone month. Signed, Clan Father of the Irehearts Clan Father of the Frostbeards
  4. To my Fellow Azwyrtrumm, Many years ago, when I penned my letter to the citizens of Urguan calling for Bakir to reform the very core of our Kingdom, never had I expected the impact it would have, or the course of events that followed. My opinions on the day I published that letter have long faded, but to this day I do not regret writing such, as for better or worse, it was the right thing to do. Given such however, bright times are ahead. There is a new Grand King, and with such there are new opportunities to be had in Urguan. It has given me hope for the first time in a long time, and a renewed desire to see our kin back in one place, hence the reasoning of this publication. So I ask all of you whom bear the Frostbeard blood, and who desire to work with me for the betterment of our clan and Kingdom, to return home. Return to Tal’Rhewenholm, the last place our great forefather, the late Grand Emperor, Rhewen ‘Papa Bear’ Frostbeard called home. Assist me, your new Clan Father with forging a better future for all of us. signed, Grand King Emeritus, Clan Father of the Azwyrtrumm, Great-Grandson of Rhewen ‘Papa Bear’ Frostbeard

  6. Frostbeard Tales II: Entering Khaz'A'Dentrumm A humble tax paying Frostbeard citizen went to the gates of Khaz'A'Dentrumm once he died, and at the same time the renowned Frostbeard Clan Father Rhewen had also ascended. Once the Brathmordakin were gathered Dungrimm sent for Rhewen Frostbeard to be let in, but forgot about the other Frostbeard, for his servants closed the hall, leaving him out, from where he heard the Clan Father’s cheerful reception of celebration, music, and songs. When all was silent, Dungrimm’s servants returned to the gate and sent the dwed in, who hoped that when he returned, the songs and music would be heard again, but everything remained silent. They received him with great joy, yes, and the souls of his ancestors went out to meet him, worse no one sang nor celebrated. Then he asked Urguan the ancestor of all dwed why there was no celebration for the humble dwed as for the Clan Father, and if there were the same differences in the realms of the Brathmordakin as there were in the Mortal realm. "No," replied the Paragon, Father of all dwed. You deserve the same appreciation for each other as dwed, and you will get the same share as the one who has just entered the delights of the Brathmordakin; but look, average dwed like you come here in the hundreds every day, while dwed like the one who just came in, hardly one comes from century to century. This tale is meant to be considered as a cautionary tale against mediocrity. A dwed must remember that at the end of their day the Brathmordakin will place a bid on them. Their ability to stand out among their fellow dwed will be imperative to receive a high bid by the Brathmordakin. Mediocrity is not bad, but if you follow the traveled path do not expect the same reward as the one who adventured and made their own. Eventually, these Frostbeards who could not leave their mark on the world will vanish to obscurity, with even the stories that talk of them forgetting their names. -Inkbeard [!] Depiction of Belka personally coming to take the Soul of a brave dwed to Kaz’A’Dentrumm
  7. Frostbeard Tales: The necromancer Priest of Kal’Tarak In Kal'Tarak, then, two beardlings, clan brothers and initiates of the Ar Yemarin Anaros, were studying necromancy in secret. A dark magic which uses enchantments and khorvadic spells to summon and resurrect the dead and to manipulate them to their will. One of the beardlings became seriously ill, died, and his friend begged him to die if he reappeared thirty days later; the dying dwed assured him that he would do so as long as he was allowed to. The beardling died and the living friend waited for thirty days to pass, praying to Dungrimm for the soul of the deceased at the temple of the Brathmordakin. It was then when he found his friend inside the hall and in front of the statue of Dungrimm, the dead man fulfilled his promise. The figure of the apparition was pale and decomposed, laying and moaning, his feet and hands tied with glowing chains that came from the mouth of Dungrimm’s statue, and he wore a black suit covered with runes that named his sins. The ghost asked his friend to reach out and he did. The ghost dropped a drop of sweat from his index finger, which at once pierced his flesh and ended up burning on the ground. The friend, still sore from the burn, asked him why he was in such a bad state. -Oh, poor me; so I will burn eternally in the Nether because of that diabolical art we study. Necromancy kills the soul. I advise you, my dear and only friend, to turn away from that abominable magic and to seek, serving Wyrvun and the Brathmordakin, the atonement of your sins by means of religious life. -Tell me, my friend, what must I do to save my soul? The voice of the chained ghost was muted by the booming voice of Dungrimm coming from the statue. -The only way to save your soul is the Redeemed Order. Of all sinners, those of this path are the least condemned, as through their service to the Brathmordakin and Wyrvun our ally. The ghost of the dead beardling disappeared with his torments, and the living, following the advice of the horrifying vision he had just had, immediately left the study of necromancy and entered as a novice in a brotherhood of the Redeemed Order. Some time later he continued his duties as an initiate in the Ar Yemarin Anaros and eventually was made a priest. It is not known where and if he died; if he went by popular belief he died in the siege of Kal'Tarak. Some would see this as a story to teach about overcoming the mistakes of the past no matter how awful, some however, prefer the story and prefer to believe that the priest failed to fully atone for his sins and after abandoning the path of Wyrvun and the Brathmordakin his soul was unable to enter Khaz'A'Dentrumm. But just as it is a mystery how many snowflakes are on a mountain peak so too is the ending of this story. -Written by Inkbeard. 8. Ajax Frostbeard, having spent most of his time the past few months [if not years at this point] steeped in his work, hearing both the breakup of him and his courting lady, as well as the most recent events of him getting chewed on by bears, and falling into melancholy, adamantly works, and produces this song. 10. The throne room fell silent as news reached the the High Council. Kerwyr slumped in his chair, resting the weight of his head upon his closed hand. A bleakness lingered within Jornheim’s hallowed halls, the foul taste of betrayal fresh upon the tongues of those that sat there. Wulfstag stood, addressing the King: “Yer majesty. T’eir ultimatum had no intention of resolution. T’ey simply deny our sovereign’y. Per’aps peace is never what they seeked.” He lingered for a moment, but Kerwyr stayed seated, collecting his thoughts. “T’ey march on our lands, now. T’ey plan to butcher our customs.” Cole D. Frostbeard roared, jumping from his seat. The court began to unsettle, the halls for a long time had housed merriment and laughter but now echoed with the burden of dispute and disagreement. “We shoul’ nae ‘ave let t’em killed establish a new foothold, we should’ve foreseen t’eir aggressions. T’ey turn t’eir sigh’s for our shores now. Barradin said calmly, in contrast with the distressed hall. “We will march for them first, too long ‘ave we waited for to draw swords - now is the ‘our we draw swords together.” Many of the Dwarves began to silence, examining those around them. Brothers of the Stone, they had faced many adversities against from the troubles. The Dwarves in this hall had seen too many felled brothers and fathers, memories still raw. Their bickering came not from a disagreement, but from the mutual understanding that they did not want to see those faces around them disappear and not return to these halls. They turned to their King, who remained slumped, staring idly at the foot of his throne. Gradually the Dwarf pushed himself out of his chair, slowly walking down to meet his brothers. He raised his head bestowing a reassuring gaze upon those around him. “We will not endure the stagnation of stale Kings, those who hold office only to satisfy their lust for governance. The interests of dwarfkind lie with us, with progression and productivity in our conglomerate. Rally the legions, we march upon them now - blood spilt will be just cause for an end to this war.” Kerwyr placed a hand on the shoulder of Garrond as he walked past slowly: “This story has been told before, they say we dwarves be cursed with greed, but dwarfkind is cursed only by age old hegemonic nepotists. For the blood we will spill, I am sorry - but I sleep well knowing that the deaths of our brothers have been in defense of our ideals, and I would just as well give up my throne now than allow our way of life to be compromised. “ Kerwyr rests for a moment, turning back towards his throne and climbing the steps. Garrond steps forward once more, bowing his head to the King. “T’ere is one I coul’ follow, t’ere is on I coul’ call King.” The remaining Dwarves begin to follow suit, gathering in an arch around the base of the throne, bowing their heads as the King retakes his seat. He ushers them raise their stares as he speaks. “The time of the Senate is over, the age of Kaz’Ulrah has begun.” Roars erupt from the Grand Hall, the Dwarves showing each other a bittersweet embrace. King Kerwyr looks to his Consul, unmoved by the ruckus. “So it begins.” WARCLAIM Tier Chosen: 1 Type of battle: Skirmish Date And Time: 24th of June Side A: Kingdom of Kaz’Ulrah and Allies Side B: Dwarf Rebels and Allies Location and boundaries: https://i.gyazo.com/d937a034c4298845661ad2e3a67cb2cf.png https://i.gyazo.com/2cff0ee2874569f8d6c6cb379cf0807b.png Terms of Victory Upon Victory For...
