  1. Penned by HRH Isabel Theodora, Princess of Hanseti-Ruska, Duchess of Kvenoland ┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ HRH Isabel Theodora riding a White Comet horse across the Haeseni landscape, 499 E.S. └── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┘ PRELUDE Ever since I could walk, I pledged myself to become the greatest equestrian known in the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. I was told by the courtiers and my mother, the Queen-dowager Sofia of Hyspia, about my first royal debut at Lifstala; famously where King Georg I, my father, dressed as a horse for my brother’s presentation. As the reputation of my baby-self’s reaction caught wind throughout the land, I held myself to higher expectations. Naturally, I fell smitten for the four-legged, hooved creatures. For years, I have confined myself to the stables and hills where I have enjoyed countless hours learning horses’ nature from one case to the next, breed from breed, until I felt the need to branch out further. In the following report, I will compile my journal entries on the Viscounty of Novkursain and their horse breeds. Originally this was not intended to be published, however one day I woke up with an overbearing sense of purpose - as if, someone in my dreamland compelled me to educate the people on this subject matter. Whilst some may call it unnecessary, we must remind ourselves that the business of horses is something we rely much on. An unspoken trade, they are the silent heroes and martyrs of war, and furthermore our travelling companions. Use this as a guide when purchasing your horses, whether it be for war-time use or leisure. It is why I have introduced the Kvenoland score: a one-five star rating based on my experiences riding, grooming and observing them over the course of a few years. ──── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──── ZVAERVAULD GREAT HORSE Kvenoland score: ★★☆☆☆ The original horse. I cannot say I have had experience with the Zvaervauld Great Horse, as they were lost to the continent of Almaris, so I will be giving them a ranking of two stars purely based on that premise. This does not reflect what the horse once was, rather that I could not test its potential. Based on documentation from Staalgrav’s archives, the Zvaervauld Great Horse was the namesake of the Barony of Zvaervauld - pre-Viscounty promotion under my father, Georg I. They were great steeds, with an emotionally sensitive nature. More notably, they came from the Hyspian horse line of Boldizar. I appreciate the ode to the Hyspian roots that have integrated themselves within House Weiss over the generations, with the symbolic and literal joining of the two cultures in marriage and with the horses. The Boldizar line gave them a black coat with no distinct markings. WHITE COMET Kvenoland score: ★★★★☆ Bred to replace the Zvaervauld Great Horse, the White Comet is one of Aevos’ most finest horse breeds. After the loss of the Zvaervauld Great Horse from Almaris, the Weiss family knew it was in their best interests to start up their horse business once more. The biome by Staalgrav, moderate and grassy just like their previous settlement, provided great terrain to refine their horse breeding technique without straying completely away from the original Great Horse. Their name is derived from Morrig, the Mother of Comets, to pay homage to very early cultural roots of Hanseti-Ruska. The White Comet is known for its distinctive poised and graceful nature. With greater obedience and relaxed nature with a lesser ability to be spooked, I applaud the Viscounty for their ability to reproduce the near-perfect horse. One could add credit to the mountainous nature of the land, with which the horse overtime would adapt through trials and tribulations. Notably, their white coats are striking in comparison to their predecessor. They almost seem ethereal, with their calm composure and striking appearance. It's hard not to be intimated by them, yet the moment they are saddled up they transform; ready to ride. During my research, the White Comet pedigree came to be one of my favourites for its balance of graceful stride and brisk trot. Their dual nature - energetic but gentle - allowed for lengthy and pleasant rides towards Vander Falls and beyond, Malkovya. The only qualm I encountered was the horse’s constant need of grooming. Whilst some may enjoy doting upon their hooved friend, one might consider the paygrade of their stablesman in making sure their White Comet remains in top-shape. Thus, I will give the White Comet a Kvenoland rating of four stars out of the five eligible. MITYAN STRIDER Kvenoland score: ★★★☆☆ Named after Mitya, the Mare of the East, the Mityan Strider is the secondary horse breed of Novkursain. Unlike the White Comet, they are bred with no intended stature or colour - varying between chocolate browns, light cream and more. Whilst I would not intend to keep a Mityan Strider for daily use, they are the perfect companion if one wished to use them purely for leisure or light-laboured tasks due to their gentle and less-intelligable nature. I have given the Mityan Strider a rating of three out of five stars, for its performative efforts when I needed to. I particularly liked that they all have feathered hooves, as it gives a uniqe flourish to its look. The score, middle of the road, is only attributed to its limited purpose. The Mityan Strider, whilst enjoyable in our rides, proved to grow tiresome after long spurts of energy and could not carry heavy loads (such as a horse-drawn carriage). What I commend it on is its affectionate bond with man, that they draw close bonds quickly which makes them the perfect starter horse to any young aspiring equestrian and horseman-alike. CONCLUSION I look forward to seeing the future in the horse-breeding industry for House Weiss, for the current selection one can buy remains one of the best I have encountered so far. The diversity of the sister breeds the White Comet and Mityan Strider caters towards different clientel, which sucessfully enough provides for both pleasure and work. Whilst I would of hoped to meet the Zvaervauld Great Horse, we shall never forget the path they paved for the Viscounty of Novkursain's origins to where they are now. The dedication towards the trade is apparent from their stables, to even the equestrian gear they provide to both themselves and sellers. The White Comet in particular became my favourite, for which I now own and bestowed the name Lazar to my great steed. ──── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──── HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Isabel Theodora Barbanov-Bihar, Princess of Hanseti-Ruska, Duchess of Kvenoland

VA EDLERVIK, Let it be known that Her Ladyship, Nataliya Mariya Amador, The Phoenix of Amador, Baroness of Mondstadt and Kastellan of Immigration of Haeseni-Ruska, has this day passed on to the Seven Skies. She died of natural causes following complications after her most recent pregnancy and childbirth. The child, though small, seems likely to survive the tragedy and shall be named Theodosya as the late Baroness wished, and be granted the second name Nataliya after the Baroness. As is customary for the House of Amador, the House will enter a state of mourning until such time as her Funeral is concluded. Her Funeral will take place on Jula ag Piov, in the 487th Year of Exalted Sigismund at the Evarardian Basilica in the City of Valdev. We welcome all who wish to pay their final respects to our Late Bossiras. Her Coffin with be sanctified by a Priest of the Church, before being buried in the Ground of the Basilica, beneath the same tree as her recently fallen kin, Ser Karl Ruslan Amador. The Impact of the late Bossiras to the House of Amador can not be understated. Thanks to the efforts of herself, her mother, Olessya Amador, and her faithful sister Liridona Amador, the House of Amador stands today among the most spectacular families in the Dual Kongzem. She battled during the end-times of Almaris against the Mori’quesse;, she served the Dual Kongzem faithfully and loyally as Kastellan of Immigration. She leaves behind her Husband, Four Sons and Two Daughters, her Sisters, Mother, Father and all the rest of her surviving kinsmen. We Honour the Bossiras that reignited the flame of the House and returned the House to the Nobility within the Dual Kongzem of Hanseti-Ruska. Let it also be known, as per the wishes of the Late Bossiras, that Professor Albus Amador, the Chronologist of the House of Amador and Son of Radmir Amador, shall act as Regent, until the eldest son of the Bossiras, Henrik Edvard Amador, now known as Henrik III, comes of age. We request time to Mourn the loss of so much in such a short blink of time. FROM ASHES, WE RISE. IV JOVEO MAAN, Professor, Albus Amador, Regent & Chronologist of the House of Amador
  4. Zvaervauld Honeydrops Issued naf zwy 14th hag i Joma ag Umund i 462 ES. Va Birodeo Herzenav ag Edlervik, With the production of Zvaervauld lilac honey now consistently underway, House Weiss has sought to expand beyond the raw product into more refined goods. Given the sweet and delectable taste of honey we saw no venture more fit for the first expansion than an irresistible candy: honeydrops. Honeydrops are a hard candy, crafted with care by our dedicated artisans. By mixing sugar, water and lemon juice then heating the mixture we get a solid base for the creation of our hard candies. Our signature lilac honey is then added to the mix, stirred and all is caramelised until the hard-crack stage. At this point, we pour the mixture into moulds and allow the candies to set. Then off they go - straight to your tummy! For an endearing flare, we take the extra time to craft moulds of all bee-related varieties. When you buy a pack of mouth-watering honeydrops you’ll find yourself with bees, hives, honeycombs, and flowers (especially lilac, of course!). Get your first un-bee-lievable pack today! Sold on Market Stall III. Tested and accredited by the youngest of Weiss! 5. The Zvaervauld Great Horse Issued naf zwy 4th hag i Gronna ag Droba i 463ES By the Barony of Zvaervauld Va Birodeo Herzenav ag Edlervik, In line with the proud legacy of Felix Weiss as part of the glorious hussars, the Barony of Zvaervauld has seen fit to create their own breed of horse befitting the use of hussars and knights: a succession of steeds with the sole purpose of becoming uncontested destriers. The Zvaervauld Great Horse is set to become the epitome of a heavy duty war-horse, bred for their high spirit and sensitivity to their surroundings. Paramount to all their attributes is their keen connection with humans, giving them a fierce intelligence and willingness to train. With their height and musculature, this draft-type can carry the load of their armour, gear, their rider, and their equipment with ease. However, would-be riders should be warned: a high-spirited steed is not one for beginners in the field and requires a skilled handler to not only direct his steed’s attention but also to keep its acute mind occupied. Each Zvaervauld Great Horse is treated and trained with the utmost care. From a young age, they must learn to be independent and be unadulterated in their growth. They must learn to take immediate command, and become used to acting as one with their rider. Given their destiny as horses of war, they are given particular attention in the matter of focus: they are taught to normalise loud noises, sudden changes and to patiently endure the mishandling of weaponry through hours of exercises prior to sale. Criteria must be met for any single horse to be considered a Zvaervauld Great Horse: They must be descended from the line of Boldizar, They must have been vetted and record for authenticity by a Weiss handler, They must be the most physically fit and capable they can be, The coat must be pure black in colour, No markings may mar or obscure their colouration, Stallions must measure 15 hands or higher while mares 14 or higher, The trunk must be proportional as to have the height match the width, Their growth in all stages must be unadulterated. Not all horses born unto the field of Zvaervauld are fated to fall under the designation of ‘Great’. There are those who, while admirable for other qualities, are only befitting of the title ‘Lesser’. Any who fail to match the criteria but who are still of the line of Boldizar will be considered ‘Zvaervauld Lesser Horses’. These lesser steeds may find themselves more akin to coursers or, for a handful, ought to be treated solely as companions. To ensure accurate tracking and record-keeping, a Stud Book was opened on the 10th i Joma ag Umund i 461 ES to record every new individual. All horses are given a name and unique 6-digit ID. However, given the desire to keep the tracking of Zvaervauld Great Horses immaculate, all such steeds also come with a Certificate of Ownership. As such, while the purchase of Zvaervauld Lesser Horses may be permissible without the presence of handler, all Zvaervauld Great Horses may only be obtained via appointment. For this appointment, speak to or bird his Lordship, Audo Weiss. While the ownership of Zvaevauld Lesser Horses need not be tracked as rigorously, particularly invested steed holders may also seek a certificate if they desire through appointment though the horse they own must be brought to be presented upon request. Zvaervauld Lesser Horses are sold on Market Stall III Zvaervauld Greater Horses are sold only by appointment. Bird or speak to Audo Weiss. Iv Joveo Mann, His Lordship, Audo Weiss Bossir Felix Weiss, Lord of Zvaervauld and Lord Marshal of His Majesty’s Brotherhood.

  7. WHO’S THE LOVELIEST OF THEM ALL? A Beauty Contest Penned 4 1 4 E.S As is becoming traditional for the House of Ludovar, heated discussions have taken place within the Ludovar family apartments over whomst among the captivating young ladies of the Haeseni Courts is the loveliest and could be regarded as the most beautiful rose. 8. THE BLOSSOMING OF A MAGNOLIA The Hauchmetvas of Lady Adele Emma of Otistadt PENNDED 3RD OF MSITZA AND DARGUND, 412 E.S [An illustration of both Adele Emma Ludovar and Amicia Valerie Ludovar] IT IS WITH GREAT JOY, That House Ludovar announces the betrothal of Lady Amicia Ludovar to His Serene Highness, Frederick de Joannes; Prince of South Sedan. THEREFORE, Baron Johann is pleased to announce the coming Hauchmetvas of his second daughter, Lady Adele Ludovar. THE EVENT WILL SERVE THREEFOLD. Firstly, as a celebration in light of both of the Ludovar twins’ ascensions into adulthood. It will also act as Lady Adele’s traditional Haeseni Hauchmetvas for her to accept prospective suitors to secure familial alliances and in preparation for the forthcoming Lifstala season. And thirdly, as a celebration of Lady Amicia’s betrothal. I. THE BESTOWING OF THE GARLAND The event will begin with Baron Johann giving a speech about both of his daughters. Following the speech, as is traditional for a Haeseni Hauchmetvas, a wreath ceremony will be held in honour of Lady Adele’s openness to courtship. The bestowment of the wreath is being handled by her beloved twin sister, Amicia, who has decided to gift her a garland composed of meaningful traditional flowers. Upon the wreath shall be centrally purple magnolias due to their being Lady Adele’s favourite flowers and signifying long life and purity, yellow yarrows encouraging the everlasting love the debutante will share with her potential suitor, and white myrtle flowers to wish Lady Adele good luck in her bright future. II. THE FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE The first dance of the night will be a waltz between Lady Adele and her father, Baron Johann Ludovar, for them to share a final moment before she begins the process of courtship. Upon the conclusion of the father-daughter dance, the ballroom floor will be opened to any couples present in the room to dance the night away. Lady Adele will then take any dance requests from potential suitors wishing to show their intentions to begin courtship with the young Lady. III. EXPECTED ATTIRE Due to Lady Adele’s fascination and love of literature, the theme for the evening will be Fairy Tales. As usual for a Hauchmetvas, it is asked that honourable guests do not adorn the colour red out of respect for the tradition. However, the Ludovar twins have decided to swap their favourite colours that they usually don for the evening. As red is the traditional colour of a debutante, Lady Amicia will be adopting her sister’s favourite colour: Blue. Therefore, both young Ladies have requested that guests do not don the colour blue exclusively as their outfit. All other colours are completely allowed, providing that blue and red are not the primary colours of a Lady’s gown. Any gifts that friends of the now-grown ladies wish to deliver to them will be entirely welcome and both twins hope to see many of their friends in attendance! 10. https://youtu.be/K-EthATzWzo [Art by Yuri Nikolayev] Cuisine of Hanseti-Ruska “Eat your food, child, lest you want the cold to nip at you more fiercely! Go on, eat!” Haeseni Babushka A cultural treatise presented by Her Royal Highness, Alexandria Karina Wick; Royal Curator of Hanseti-Ruska. The climate of Hanseti-Ruska is cold and cruel, and can be unforgiving to many - especially the unprepared. It has led to the belief the hardly many quality ingredients can be gathered within our Kingdom’s borders in order to prepare a delicious and hearty meal; many people over our generations have gradually taken to forgeign recipes and foods from the Crownlanders and other warmer regions, which has nearly made the spirit of Haeseni cuisine to fade entirely. This document is made in order to save and preserve it - as well as the urge for the denizens of Hanseti-Ruska to follow this example. Despite the hardened climate and landscape of the Haense, there are a wide variety of ingredients able to be grown, hunted, and gathered within the boundaries of the Kingdom. Grains Wheat A commonly grown and hardy grain in the flattened territories of Haense, abundant in supply and used in the preparation of various breads and other doughy goods within the Kingdom. It is one of the most important staple foods within Haense, for bread is a food found in many a Haeseni meal and plays an important role within Haeseni tradition to begin feasts; Breaking the Bread. Barley Being chiefly important with its role as stockfeed for those following the agrarian way of life within the Kingdom, barley is commonly used for various sorts of brews within Haense; most commonly Waldenian ales. Aside from that, the grain makes for a pleasant ingredient for various vegetable and beef stews. Rye Due to its similar uses to wheat and barley, rye may also be cultivated within the borders of Hanseti-Ruska. Haeseni porridges mainly utilize this grain. Meats Venison Deer are abundant in the forests of Hanseti-Ruska and make for a common game for Haeseni hunters and trappers to pursue. Oftentimes, it is prepared for less special occasions due to the gamey flavors of the meat; however, it still provides a quality amount of nutrients and an ample amount of meat for various stews and other fulfilling meals. Mutton A meat that has a strong and gamey flavor, used commonly in Haeseni stews due to his toughness; however, it isn’t as easy to acquire as venison and is saved to cook for more special occasions or to add more flavor to stews in the winter months. Rabbit A meat cooked and treated similarly to chicken, and often used in place of chicken when it is not available. It remains another popular choice for the preparation of hearty, Haeseni meals. A wide variety of meats plays into the cuisine of Hanseti-Ruska, since it offers so many nutrients to keep a Haeseni or Ruskan strong. To avoid repetition and for the sake of brevity, a simplified list of other meats often found in the Kingdom’s borders are as listed below: Pheasant Whale Goat Boar | A favorite game to pursue for Haeseni hunters, though dangerous. Often served at grand festivals or other celebrations by being slow-roasted over a fire. Cod Herring | One of the more favored seafoods of Haense; commonly found in territories bordering large bodies of waters, due to the love many Haeseni bear for the seas. Salmon Cow Fruits, Vegetables, Ect. Haeseni Wild Apples A rather small sort of apple that grows in the territories of Hanseti-Ruska with more mild climates. It has a rather tart taste, which grows sweeter the more it is ripened. It is often an added ingredient to certain stews or porridges for extra flavor and nutrients, though is favored mostly when prepared for pastries such as Ruskan cakes or pies. Prikaburren The national fruit of Haense.Red berries found commonly in the Haense wilderness or in the gardens of those with a sweet tooth. It’s used to accent dishes - often ones with meats; and is rather popular for pastries as well. Teas and alcohols have also been prepared from these berries, proving that they are truly a Haeseni favorite. More information on them may be located in the Tarcharman’s study: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/191294-prikaburren-prikaz-berry-national-fruit-of-haense/?tab=comments#comment-1771196 Pears Ruskan Olives | An olive favored by Prinzenas Aleksandriya Karina i Haense for its medicinal uses; an oil produced from these olives have acted as a base for salves that relieve muscle pains. Potatoes Beetroots Carrots Baby Bella Mushrooms | Small brown-capped mushrooms that grow in the gentler parts of Hanseti-Ruska, most notably clearings and meadows.
