  1. Event Planners, MC Names: EbonsquireEvent Type: RP | ExplorationYour Timezone: EST -5, Midwest (Indiana)Affected Groups: It's open. Any group may come, though 6-8 people is the recommended amount.Event Location: Northwestern Coast of Asul Summation: The Helderenberg is a mighty vessel, built from burly, dark wood and strong ferrum nails. Love and sweat was put into this ship whose course was set for Balanak Peak, an island some ways away past Axios in the middle of the eastern ocean. The living quarters were of adequate quality, fitted with a desk for each crew member and relatively comfortable bedspreads. A good twenty rooms in all did the ship have just for the main crew. But they were nothing as grand as the captains quarters! A king-sized bed, a desk with enough area on the top for doing some heavy duty paperwork, a great view of the ocean, and other such amenities befitting a nobleman. But, oddly enough, there were twenty-six members on this ship, and not twenty-one. And twenty-six rooms. in total. Unfortunately, the Helderenberg managed to go completely off course and collided with the sun-scorched sands of northern Asul instead, that once wondrous ship becoming a capsized mess along the beaches. Well, not really. In fact, it managed to remain relatively intact after impact, tough as the damn thing was. But nothing stirred. And there were twenty-six rooms on the Helderenberg. And now there were five members, who similarly did not stir. Concept Images/Screenshots: What help do you require from the ET Actors or Builders?: I'll need help building the ship -- it shouldn't be too large or too small. Should have 4 larger quarters 20 small quarters, a storage room, and a captains quarters along with a few others for the crew at least. Will also need actors, which can be a combination of non-ET players and ET.

    [✓] mjsc88 Ban Appeal

Minecraft Name (s): mjsc88 Ban Reason: Went over 10 forum warning points Individuals Involved: Me, Rebecca Event Details: I made a joke that was not received as a joke. I can't view specific details as I'm banned from the forums. Why should you be unbanned?: I believe that I have learned my lesson in treading lightly with what could be a joke and what could be considered an attack. Not only do I not intend to engage in anything possible relating in something offensive. On top of this, I do not intend to ever use the forums for a very long while, especially in pretenses that are very controversial. I can only hope this is enough to be able to make amends with the forum team as a whole, and especially Rebecca. Rebecca, I am profusely sorry if my comment offended you in some way, as it was not meant to do any serious harm. Additional Screenshots/Videos: N/A

    [✗] Tin Foil Armor

LORE PROPOSITION - TINFOIL ARMOR A Harian Tinfoil Warrior, Circa 1600 In a world where magic runs rampant alongside the growth of an ever present aura of paranoia, it is of the utmost importance to defend oneself against mind probing huns. Innocent men and women are becoming deceived by such vile magicians, leading them to believe that they are the opposite gender if not already resulting from their pineapple illatian pastries. Tales of such illusory and probing have spread far and wide, and thus the demand for magic resistant armor is high. As a result, smiths across the land, most notably Haskill of the Freeman’s forge, have taken to pressing melted tin to a papyrus thin state so that it may be molded with ease. With this invention, denizens across the lands may sleep in peace- and in tin, to ensure that their internal viscera is not morphed to that of a bestial creature. Tin foil equipment will allow the user to deflect magical influence and attacks without flaw depending on its crumpled state. Akin to sound proofing, the more crevices and bumps a piece of tin armor holds the more resistant to magic it is. For example, a smooth sheet of tin would be useless to magic whereas its crumpled counterpart would be impervious. Despite its extreme defense to magic, it's delicate and thin state makes it quite useless against any other form of attack. To provide balance to magic users, quite literally anything (bar magic) can destroy this armor. Arrows can pierce it, fingers can poke it, and more importantly, one could rip it by simply walking. Despite its detriments, however, tinfoil armor remains the go-to headwear for those fearing illusionists. Waldenian Soundproofing, circa 1364 To craft Tinfoil Armor, one must gather tin through roleplay means, melt it, and then press it into its thin state. Once this is accomplished, one must then carefully craft it through roleplay means. Should you roll anything less than a twenty in its careful construction, the armor will be torn. Once in combat, should the armor be damaged or torn, the exposed area would then become vulnerable to magical attacks once more. Mechanically speaking, it may be possible to statgen base chainmail to have hugely negative defensive debuffs (practically none) with its durability also being modified to be destroyed within two hits. Furthermore, due to its light nature, if a mechanical armor set were to be created it would hold no speed debuffs. The way one would determine whether someone was wearing tinfoil armor or not is purely dependent on their skin, which should look something along the lines of: Should this lore be accepted, I believe it will add an additional level of role-play not yet seen on any medieval fantasy server. This document is purely science based, and now that the current year is 1600, a time in which pirates roam, the need for tinfoil equipment is necessary. However, should this lore not be accepted, I truly believe people will still craft such equipment through roleplay means even if it woiuld not provide the additional magical protection as they would hold the belief that it truly does. I have kept this short and sweet, like an innocent child, for I believe I've nailed my points across rather effectively. For those who are too lazy to read, I shall summarize in a tl;dr. Tin Foil Armor should be magic resistant depending on its crumpled state (coating your armor in tin will not do anything unless it is pure tin!). Tinfoil headgear should prevent illusion magic and mind probing from affecting the wearer. To craft a single piece of armor, or the tinfoil itself, smiths must roll a perfect 20/20 in role-play to provide validity to the tin foil's stability. Tin Foil armor has no durability nor defensive buffs to ranged or melee.
  4. #Minecraft name/s: Jaybleezy, The_Cyberbot. #Age: Sixteen. #Time zone and availability: I live in PST, and I'm available(usually) after 3:30 pm to 10 pm(except on Tuesdays). #Skype: baronvondippschitte #What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?: I've always felt like staff/player communication has been subpar. Also, response time for modreqs? Fuh'get about it. #What are your finest qualities?: Goes hand in hand with what I'd like to change. I'm a great communicator, especially when it matters the most. If there's an argument going on, and it's been going on for a while, and it's wholly unnecessary, I will do my best to put it to rest. Most of the time, arguments between myself and others are prevented by a lack of anger or frustration on my part. I just don't get mad at someone trying to prove a point, which is a fatal flaw I see in quite a few staff members. If I did that, I'd be the worst kind of hypocrite. I'm also a quick typer, and a quick responder. If somebody makes a modreq to unstick them from a cart they teleported into, I'll be right there, teleporting them out and even healing them. #What are your worst qualities, and how could you improve these aspects?: I'm not really the most patient of people. While I won't get very angry, I suppose I am easy to provoke and quick to snap at someone who knows just how to push my buttons. Solving this problem wouldn't be too difficult, of course, and with the responsibility of a moderator, I'd have to. A good way to rid myself of my short fuse would be to literally step away. Go to the bathroom real quick. Get my hair wet. Come back. Solve the problem. I've never had the motivation to do such, aside from self betterment, and that's always a secondary to solving the here and now. I suppose that's a problem, too, and something I need to fix. Shouldn't be that hard, either, I think I'd just need to imagine what I could be versus what I am and strive for the better of the two. #What members of the Staff could you look to for guidance?: Tsuyose. I know for a fact that Tsuyose and I could engage in pleasant conversation at nearly any time, unless he's busy with his duties or just not feeling too hot. I suppose DiscoLiquid, also, could be a font of wisdom in my endeavors, with her experience being a staff member and general friendly personality. Aerialkebab and I are kind of buds. We have our disagreements, and our arguments, but for the most part, he and I get along, and I know that he has plenty of experience and will help if I need him to. There are a couple more people who are ex-staff, themselves having previous experience in GM-hood or even adminship, but I don't suppose they count. #Who do you not get along with on the current team?: I really don't know. I have only acquaintances in the staff, besides those mentioned above. #How much free time do you have? Will this change in the foreseeable future?: I have plenty of free time. Ingame, I'd be willing to put a hold on RP to assist with a modreq, and out of game, I'm almost always on the forums. I don't know how this will change in the future. I'm looking for a job at the moment, and it'll range from four days a week of free time to one or two, depending on when I need to work.
  5. MC name: Speedillion Forum Name: Ford the Ebony Skype Name: gyasiford Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?: Yes. I have been on the server for nearly 3 years now and with this time I believe I've retained a vast amount of information regarding the server's lore. As well as being a mage for several months -- nearly a year now -- and being apart of many roleplay groups and researching multiple topics within the Wiki, I can gladly say I have a general knowledge of LotC's lore, i.e. I am knowledgeable when it concerns a multitude of topics. As I have been an Application Team member before, I realize what sort of standards you all require of me. I was not lenient then and I promise to not be lenient now, and will only hand down my verdict upon other's applications with the utmost candor. Why do you want to be an AT member and do you have the ability to work with others?: Why? I enjoy reading applications, for one. Secondly, I do like the community here on LotC overall and with each new player being accepted, I realize that the more people there are to take their hand and lead them through this exceptional roleplaying server, the better. I'd like to be one of those people. Third, filtering the bad apples from the good is tedious work, and the AT could use all the help it needs. This is not to say that they are incompetent, but the faster the applications are dealt with, the better! I understand that I haven't had the cleanest track record here on Lord of the Craft, but I've attempted to polish my behavior towards others and certain situations. I honestly, without a doubt in my heart, believe I can work well with the others on the AT and can bring useful skills when it comes down to reviewing applications. Do you recognize that you will be given extra responsibilities such as working on the LoTC wiki, assisting the AT in creating guides and helping new players with their questions upon logging into LoTC?: Absolutely. I will not slack in my duties as an AT member if I am to be accepted. Is there anything else you would like to add?: Thank you for your time. Enjoy a music video.
